Tooth Extraction reviews in Corpus Christi

  • We both loved Dr. Richards and his staff. An oral surgeon pulled the teeth but Dr. Richards did the impressions and fitted the dentures. We went back several times to have the dentures adjusted and now Mom just loves them. They look very natural.

  • He is a very strange man.  I set up an appointment with him.  I went in and talked to him.  There was some miscommunication in his office and he got upset by that because of which we had miscommunication when I got there.  He didn't give me any opportunity to explain anything.  His receptionist was very weird.  I called him back to ask a question about my tooth because I was having to make a very tough call whether to have him do a root canal on it or to save it or get it extracted.  He didn't take my calls and when I tried to get in touch with him, he told his receptionist to tell me to get a second opinion; so I did.  He was trying to ask me to go away and I didn't realize that.  I went and got a second opinion.  I came back and made a second appointment with his office to get my tooth root canal done.  I was asked to wait for two weeks and I was pushing a limit on it because when one has a tooth like that then they have to get it done right away until it is taken out.  He pushed me right up to the line.  I was walking out of my door for the appointment and his receptionist called me.  He asked her to call me to cancel the appointment.  I told her to ask him; so she called me back saying that he did not want to do it for me and wanted me to go & get the tooth extracted.  It was very weird.  I have seen anything like this before.  I thought it was extremely unprofessional.  First time when I saw him, I thought he was very knowledgeable and very impressive; but he has a weird personality where he would just flip on the patient.  I had no choice, but to get my tooth taken out.  It was a very strange experience.  It was so rude.  He knew that pushing me out on that time-frame was going to cost me some serious repercussions.

  • Dr. Cable saw me promptly, gave treatment and explained exactly what I should feel and for how long afterwards. Upon returning for a followup 2 weeks later I was able to report that everything went just as he said and was given a good report at that time.

  • Dr. Barwise was my dentist for about 20 years.  I thought he was great until I went to another dentist and found out how bad Barwise had been.
I would not have even changed dentist had I not been sent a notice telling me that my insurance was no longer valid as of Feburary 1st.  The notice was sent out March 1st.  I argued but got no where and found a new A+ dentist.
Apple is a clinic and you can tell he is with about 4 clients at a time.  But in the beginning the prices were great:  not so much now.  My husband, also a patient always said he felt like he was always looking for work to be done and sure enough he always found it.

  • He put in the anesthetic and half way through, he told me that the cavity was deeper than he thought. He asked me if I wanted more. I would recommend him because he is good at what he does, but I do feel that his bedside manner is just a little off. He is friendly enough, but there is something off about him. He is not concerned about me; he is just concerned about the work he does. I did like the fact that he got the work done quickly.

  • Although I was not ready to pay the amount necessary to fix my tooth right away. He smoothed down the surface and filled in the space with a putty that simulates the missing part of the tooth, so it does not look out of place.
He has been our family dentist for many many years and we love him. He and his staff have a great sense of humor. He usually refers out the difficult cases to leave more room to see patients. He is the only dentist in the office and keeps it a very family oriented establishment.
As long as we live here, we will always see Dr. Fossum.
    - Tina E.
  • Dr. Fossum is a great dentist. I have been seeing him for years. He does excellent work. He is very concerned for his patients and will see you asap, especially, if you are in pain, as he did in my situation. He is a very funny guy and a pleasure to talk to. He clearly explains what he is going to do and even shows you pictures of the inside of your mouth on a TV so you can specifically see what the problem is and how he intends to fix it. He has a very professional and very friendly medical staff that assists him. I guess because my root canal was somewhat more involved he was very concerned that I might experience more pain afterwards so he clearly explained what to do, if I should have problems after the anaesthetic wore off. I left the office and then went home to take a nap. When I woke up, I had absolutely no pain except for a little minor discomfort that some Advil took care of. Dr. Fossum also called me this evening to check on how I was doing which is something I never had happened to me when I went to other dentists. On 12/22/2011 I am scheduled to come in for the permanent crown. A couple of years ago Dr. Fossum did another root canal and crown for me, and I was 100% satisfied with the result. And so far with this 2nd root canal, I am 100% satisfied with Dr. Fossum.

  • She is very thorough. She takes her time to examine and clean your teeth herself. The hygienist is only there to assist. You get extra and attention. She keeps up with the latest technologies. She takes real care to mitigate pain. She never rushes, which is nice.
    - Alex G.
  • I like that he does root canals and other surgeries in office. He will get to you right away if you have an emergency. He is very forward about what needs to be done. He is very gentle and thorough. He is one of the best that I have found in a long time.

  • Dr. Richards and his staff are always courteous, knowledgeable and competent. I have recommended Dr. Richards' dental practice to both family and friends.
