Carpet Installation reviews in Coppell

    Carpet Mills of America
The worst floor company (at Carrollton) I have worked with. They never updated me what's going on - even when manufacture was no longer to produce the carpet I ordered. When asked order status, the only answer they gave was "I will update you soon." The only thing they did fast was to charge my credit card, and never refunded money back even when order was cancelled. I had to call my credit card company to credit me back. Stay away from this store and find another one which can be trusted.

    Right Choice Painting & Construction
Very pleasant experience. The owner Jeff and Jan were very helpful in terms of picking up material and making recommendations. The project manager Kyle was very responsive. The whole project went through smoothly.

    Sara Miranda Productions LLC
Sara is an outstanding professional. She did an excellent job installing carpet tiles. She is a truly nice person, easy to work with, an overall pleasure to be around. We couldn't be happier with the result!

Simply Carpet and Oriental Rug Cleaning, LLC
The service was completed quickly and the technician asked me to look
upstairs and see if I was pleased with the treatment.  I looked the the
room that had all the stains and they were completely gone! All the
carpets looked fresh and smelled great. The treatment even got rid of
all of the stains on the carpeted stairs.
    I was very pleased with
the excellent service from First Choice Floor Care.  Would absolutely
use again.   Remember to tip your technician if they provide excellent
    service!

    Agape Home Services
I can't say enough about how wonderful my experience with Agape was!  From the first moment I spoke with Becky on the phone, met her for the project planning, met her son Jerry for further bidding and planning, through the interactions with the project lead and employees on my project - all was just perfect.  Becky was exceptionally responsive anytime I had a question or wanted to make a change to the project (which I did several times and she never became exasperated with me at all). When the actual work began, the project lead Bill met me at the house with a folder full of details he went over with me to make sure everything was as I wanted. Their terms were spelled out in advance and I thought that was fair - everything from when I would be expected to pay for what, any supplies they needed from me, how they would handle change orders, etc. They were beyond professional - arriving on time each day, working straight through the day and leaving no earlier than 4 or 4:30. All their workers are employees - not contractors - and this shows! I wasn't living in the house while the work was being done - but even as such they cleaned up after themselves every day and were very careful to be respectful of noise or mess. My project took about 9 days. They didn't mind if I sat and stared at them while they worked - or if I never even showed up the whole day. When the work was done, Bill walked through everything with me, gave me a whole additional day to look over everything my self and give them a punch list of anything I wanted touched up or that wasn't to my liking. Funny thing was that I didn't have a single thing to add - the job had been done as requested, on time, and perfectly.  The quality of the work was exemplary.  I will admit that their quoted price was higher than any other contractor but I had a feeling that the level of professionalism, quality, and communication would be worth it to reduce my stress on this project and I was right.  You definitely get what you pay for.  Thank you Becky and Jerry.  You will be doing work for me again!!

    DFW Floors
Called prior to the scheduled arrival time to inform he's on the way.  Cleaned carpet through and paid attention to every detail. I was satisfied with the service.  I have two stairs, so he did charge me extra. But he called after he left the site and apologized said he found that one stair is already included in the contract. I received $50 refund in the mail three days after the service date.  Very honest and great service. Will do business again. Thank you!

    Golden Triangle Flooring
Installation was professionally done. All our questions were answered quickly. Notably, it has been about eighteen months after installation, and we are still pleased with the results. The carpet and pad have held up well.

    EcoSafe Dry Carpet Care

Fernando  came out and gave an estimate long before I was ready to have the work done and honored his quote when I was ready for the job to be done.  I had some major renovations done in the area before having the carpet cleaned, and although workers used drop cloths it surely suffered a little more during the painting, etc.  The carpet was only eight years old but had been installed so badly that it had huge buckles everywhere.  There were also a lot of stains that I had little hope of removing.

It took Fernando and an assistant several hours and a lot of pounding to stretch the carpet and then clean, but it really looks almost new now.  And, unlike so many previous carpet cleaning experiences, the stains did not resurface after a short time.  I will definitely have Berguss back again to clean regularly with the hope of keeping my now quite lovely carpet for many years to come.

    Texas Tile House
I needed to do some refurbishing of a house that was going to be a rental property. There was much work to be done, but I had to watch the budget.
Rod was extremely helpful from the very beginning. He helped me make design choices while in his showroom. I had to replace the flooring in every room except the kitchen. His team ripped up and removed all of the old carpet and replaced with laminate flooring in the living room, dining room and hallway. Removed linoleum floor in bathroom and replaced with ceramic tile. Installed two new toilets, bathroom fixtures and bathroom light fixtures. Installed new carpeting in all three bedrooms.
Rod's team did a great job! they were efficient and cleaned up leaving no mess behind.
I have used his company before and will continue to use his company whenever possible.

    COKER FLOOR CO
2 words: TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE with Coker Floor Southlake.
Let me elaborate (sorry for the length!): Coker floor quoted $6,250 for carpet installation (scheduled two weeks in advance), competitive with other companies. When sales agent Tommy G stopped by with the contract, he insisted to receive $3,100 for down payment but agreed then to wait a day so I could read their terms:
    - Point 3: and quot;Scheduled times are approximate...and quot;
    - Point 19: and quot;No cancellation or change can be made after 7 days from date of contract...and quot;
After 5 days, I informed Tommy G to remove just the stairs from the quote, as we would go with hardwood on them. He told me that this wasn't possible anymore as the carpet had been ordered but after referring to contract point 19, I was told and quot;Oh, OK, no problem, let me see how this affects the quoteand quot;! Removing 18 stairs and 2 landings reduced the quote by ridiculous $261.72!!! Why? Because over 85% of stairs would have been covered with 'waste-carpet-pieces' and the small reduction was just the installation fee. FINE!
On 08/29, I received a call to confirm next day's installation and on 08/30, I moved all upstairs furniture to facilitate the job. The crew was supposed to start between 9-11am. Surprised that no installers were there at 10.50am, I called Tommy (who was most probably sleeping according to his voice and background noise). 45 min later or so, I received a call from the installation manager letting me know that the crew had a family emergency (sure, whatever...) and wouldn't be able to come but that she had found another crew for the next day (Tommy didn't pick up his phone anymore). Thus, I moved some basic furniture back so my wife and 2 children had a place to sleep. On 08/31, same scenario: furniture back out and at 10am, call from installation manager: no crew, thus no installation! Again, I was assured that the third crew would definitely show up the next day (09/01). So, furniture back in, on 09/01, furniture back out and call around 9am: AGAIN no crew!!! I lost my temper and oh wonder, 10 minutes later, a new crew was found that could come that day. They came but had of course the original quote, still mentioning the stairs. I tried to reach Tommy G without success....
After a 'just-ok-installation-job' (very visible seams; in addition, Tommy G never asked what patting we wanted under the carpet and went with a really hard one), all the undeniable inconvenience for a family with a baby and 3-year old, cancelled labor-day party and forced cancellation of another contractor that was supposed to work in these rooms, I asked for a small discount (not mentioning any $ amount!), now directly speaking to the sales manager Loren M. Indifferent, Loren M told me that they already made adjustments to the original quote by removing the stairs (portraying it as a big favor and not mentioning contract point 19) and that a small discount wouldn't make me happier... WRONG!
Final icing on the cake, I was notified that the amount due was higher (by just $1.01) of the actual remainder. Fortunately, I had an 'email-trail', despite of Tommy G and Loren M being rather reluctant in giving things in writing!
    Conclusion: COKER FLOORS: NEVER AGAIN!!!

Reply - I'm happy to have insisted over and over again on written correspondence! Here the facts:
    a) Yes, carpet is first quality because we chose it.
    b) No representative from Coker floor came by after installation for follow-up and quality control. I did the walk through and did not complain about the very visible seams as installation was finished and nothing could be done anymore.
    c) As I wrote: a small discount for all the installation-inconveniences would have made a difference and I would have certainly spent my valuable time on things more important than writing a lengthy review!
    d) Again false statement: I collected several quotes and after receiving a competitive quote from the last company, I told Tommy that we would agree to go with Coker floor if he would lower his initial price from $6,500 to $6,250. He could do it and that's only when we closed the deal.
    e) I was told about the 50% down-payment but was asked to pay the moment the contract was dropped off for signature on 08/11/14 =and gt; I asked for 24h to go over the contract and the next day (08/12/14) returned the signed contract together with my credit card information via secure email. My card was charged on 08/14/14!
    f) On 08/16/14, I asked to adjust the quote by removing just the stairs =and gt; on 08/19/14, I was asked to stop by at the store to go over the revised quote =and gt; It was my mistake to have stopped by at the main office @ Alpha Rd (and I never complained about that).
    g) On 08/21/14, I was told that removing the stairs would lower the price by $261.72. In the meantime, we asked Tommy to quote hardwood floor for several downstairs areas, including the stairs =and gt; on 08/25/14, I asked if there was a quote available for the second project but Tommy was still working on it. Absolute fine and after one miscommunication over the phone on 08/26/14 and repeated demand for written communication, I confirmed on 08/27/14 that we won't install carpets on the stairs - that was 3 days before the first scheduled installation.
    h) If the first crew couldn't come on a Saturday and if it's difficult to get a crew out over the remainder of the holiday weekend, be honest and let the customer know. Don't make 2 false promises, thereby spoiling the long weekend of an entire family.
