FCre8 StoneAt first, it was great. Shortly after completion, a very wide crack went the entire heiight. He sent someone to add more limestone over it. I have hundreds of progress pics. I now know he took a short cut. He used no black backing nor ANY wire mesh, on one end and nothing at very top. Used hardi backer attached to metal, then sprayed limestone over it. I have email & text with him stating LIFETIME warranty. There is so much damage, and he finally made the effort After 5 months of requesting he come by. Refuses to honor his work, or his word. He has RUINED this house. We have no choice but to proceed legally. Im absolutely heartbroken, because this is the ONLY thing I got, that I asked for. Much more to this story, but bottom line,...HE RUINED OUR HOME NOTE: My phone is not opening my picture gallery. Using phone to take pics from computer- Rachel K.

ADONOVAN HOMESWe purchased the townhouse during its construction, so we had input into the finishing details. Everything was done exactly as we had requested, and it was finished nearly on time (which is pretty remarkable for major construction), and within the specified budget. There were no last minute surprises. PLUS, Donnie Sprague has been responsive to questions and help even beyond the warranty period. For example, he just faxed me a list of the paint colors that were used 3 years ago, so that we can touch up the paint after our tenant moves out.- ARTHUR L.

APitman Custom HomesAfter a Horrendously Bad experience with a builder over 30 years ago, we were Very reluctant to even consider working with another builder who again might make empty promises, cut corners, and dodge our calls. Mr. and Mrs. Pitman of Pitman Custom Homes have proven to be so far superior to our previous experience that we are compelled to speak on their behalf. Mr. Pitman is a skilled, sincere individual who puts the needs and concerns of his clients ahead of everything else. He uses quality materials and holds all of his contractors to high standards. His prices are consistent with current market prices if not slightly better. There was never once a disagreement over the quality of work or misunderstanding over the work that was to be done. Mr. Pitman keeps impeccable records and documents all changes in writing. An interior decorator was made available; though we chose not to use this service, we appreciated the thoughtful offer. Mrs. Pitman was always available to meet with us to assist in making selections; she was on time, well organized, knowledgeable, and we thoroughly enjoyed working with her. The suppliers they chose for us were equally knowledgeable and friendly; when we couldn?t find what we wanted, Pitman Custom Homes found other suppliers. Both Mr. and Mrs. Pitman are careful not to overwhelm or stress their clients; they allow homeowners ample time to carefully consider options. They were both easily reached by phone or email; we normally received a response within a day and we were advised ahead of time if they were going out of town. Pitman Custom Homes promised to stand by their work and warranties; we were doubtful though neighbors assured us that Mr. Pitman remains responsive and cooperative even after the sale is completed. Since moving into our new home two months ago, we are happy to say that all of our concerns and problems have been addressed in a timely manner. Moreover, there were issues Pitman Custom Homes could have easily dodged responsibility for?they were not his mistakes. Pitman Custom Homes went above and beyond their obligations and it cost us nothing. It is refreshing to discover such an honorable, reliable businessman! In short, we could not be more pleased with our Pitman Home or our experience in working with this company! We thank Mr. and Mrs. Pitman for making our building experience so pleasurable. We are confident we will enjoy our new home for many years to come as well as the friendship we have with them. AJHW GENERAL CONTRACTORSWe are a nonprofit and had a group of children coming in to our nursery the week we found mold. JHW came in and performed mold abatement, replacing insulation and wall board, all in record time. We cannot thank them adequately for their professionalism and speed! This was the second job they have done for our agency. The first time, they came in and removed mirrors from a previous dance studio, repaired the wall, and hung slatwalls.- Vickie T.

ABorski Homes IncWe could have paid less but found out from others - would have gotten MUCH less. We found that going with a first class bulder like this one, that is a tiger in the bidding phase gave us the best for less. Coming up on our second year living in it, we have much fewer wrinkles to iron out than friends woulld went for "the deal" or had draftsman plans. Very happy! AIt went really well, better than expected. Mr. King was great to work with as he provided me several options for water proofing (for the future) and he installed a sump pump which is what I needed as the first step. He was on time, cleaned up after the job was done (and during) and wanted to make sure we were very happy with his work. I waited to do a review because I wanted to see how the sump pump worked after rain. We have had a couple of good rain events since it was installed and we heard it working and doing its job. The unit is a little loud, but knowing it is working and moving the water out of the crawlspace is all that matters to me.

FWe made a $5K deposit and then asked to company to refund our money as we will be moving out of state to care for elderly parents. This refund request was made in December. We were told that we needed to pay an additional $5K to get out of the purchase. We were told that the materials were "custom made" even though the materials have not been manufactured or delivered. I filed a BBB complaint which did nothing. Sunspace claims we signed a contract which we did not. We will now need to seek a legal remedy in court. They have not provided a copy of their refund policy or can they show a copy of the "contract" they falsely claim we signed.
