AMaz Contractor ServicesAdrian came out when I was in a pinch for time to give an estimate. He was very polite and knowledgeable. We discussed the problem areas and he offered his recommendations which I agreed with. The price quote was fair. He offered to start the job immediately but I asked if he could start the following week when I could be there. He agreed and showed up on time and completed the job in one day. Over the years, he has put in french drain systems, done my yard mowing and maintenance, built patios and other concrete works, painted chimneys, repaired my fences, fixed my sprinkler systems... Anything I need, he has done well. His work is good, and his prices are very reasonable. He and his staff are always polite and professional. AAguilar Lawn CareThe team that comes to my house arrives at the appointed time and completes the work quickly and completely. I have had very few problems with the quality of work, and any extra work I ask for is usually completed in a timely manner. My only problem has been with a difficulty in speaking with the work team as I do not speak enough Spanish to be an effective communicator. However, the owner/manager is usually very prompt in relaying any concerns I have or little jobs to be done to the team. They always finish promptly and the place is immaculate when they leave. The little garden path they constructed was completed quickly and the work was well done and the team cleaned up the work area completely. The fence was installed promptly and beautifully. What else can I say. I am so happy and fortunate to have found this wonderful company to help me care for my yard and property. The owner/manager is always available by phone. AVanguard Enhanced Concrete LLCThe crew that did the concrete pour was hard working. They were polite when engaged in conversation. Brian did concrete enhancement work and we are very pleased with the result, and to recommend him. Of the various project work we’ve had done on our home (landscaping, fencing and patio extension), we are most satisfied with the job he did. There were delays on the project but they were all weather related and thus unavoidable under the circumstances.- Thomas L.

AProfessional Concrete ConstructionThe finished product was as expected. A change order was handled easily and at a fair price. The job was executed with intensity, which is to say they started and kept working until they were done. Clean up was good. Five years later we have had some movement at the stairs and some hairline cracks by the house - which we expect because of our expansive clay soils. However, the walkways /stairs are holding together and look great.- Don G.

ACastaneda ConstructionThe business owners son, Eli, oversaw the work. I'm very pleased with how everything went. The initial quote was to add a 10' x 10' section onto the 10' x 20' section that was already there for $1600. This was for a 6" thick slab with rebar and a pillar around the outside. When Eli got started, he realized the existing concrete was only 3" thick, and he suggested I have him add an additional 3" to the top and he would drill into the old slab and use rebar to tie everything together, for an additional $900. I thought this was a very fair price. When he had the sand and rebar all set, he realized that the old concrete was not at all level, and just putting concrete over the top would result in a very thin layer on one side. Eli proceeded to pull up a very large section of the old slab, put in new rebar, and poured the extra concrete all without charging me any extra. I was very impressed, he could have very easily just poured the concrete in a thin layer and I would never have known until it cracked at some point in the future. Eli was concerned with doing a first rate job and took it upon himself to perform this extra work and use the extra concrete because he knew it was the right way to do the job. I am planning to put in a workshop and Eli will be doing the foundation work for me. It is so nice to deal with a contractor who shows up when he says he will, and takes pride in his work. I can not say enough good things about Eli and Castaneda Construction.- Robert A.

FI received a quote for $10,000 which detailed exact location and drawing of wall and two slabs. During excavation they tried to shorten and change map of location of the wall with final changes my invoice was raised by $5000 to cover "additional" work not stated in an estimate. One of the item was color of the concrete which is different on the wall than on 2 slabs. They tried to "resurface" wall and told me they will be back to fix any issues. Now, I have a water standing in the middle of one slab and walls totally in different color. I left several messages and received not response. I was taking advantage of, PLEASE BE AWARE!!!
