    Texas Orthopedics
My wife was under the care of Dr. Scott Smitt who appears to be a good surgeon, but a terrible doctor. To say arrogant is an understatement. He did a knee replacement on my wife and, as a board member of the hospital, seemed to care less about any issues with her care after the surgery. His office brags about the terrific knee and hip replament faclities and how they support patient recovery, yet does nothing or cares nothing about a patient who has problems with pain medication related to the surgery itself. When during healing of a knee replacement, a patient has problems with mobility and he only casually mentions an important possible solution, well after the window of time it could be effective. He then pushes a patient to use his physical therapy clinic and the patient gets put on a waiting list when they need PT immediatly. Other doctors are reluctant to respond on these issues but seem a bit startled when they hear about this. See this man with a God complex at your own risk.

    Wiseman Family Practice
I love Dr. Wiseman's office and have been seeing him (thankfully not too often as I'm quite healthy) for many years. However trying to get an appointment is impossible. The last appointment I made well over a month ago was the first available. I then realize the day before, they made it at the wrong location and would have to wait another month! How can this be? As I said, I love the office and the integrated approach but I may have to change doctors as I just cannot seem to get in! This makes me a little sad!

Dr. Stoeckel is always up to date on your health conditions. He is highly attentive to your needs. He has great respect for his patients. He is excellent and diagnosing injuries and knows when you need to see a specialist. We have been using his as our primary care physician for many years as well as for our children. Dr. Hathcock is extremely well versed in her practice. She is also attentive to the needs of the patient.

    Better Hearing Center of Austin
I first scheduled my appointment at the William Cannon office but called and had it rescheduled to the Spicewood Springs office as that was closer to my home. I had to wait about an additional week to see Saleem but it was well worth the wait. I filled out the required paperwork that I got from their web site and took it with me to the appointment. Saleem and I discussed the issues I was having with my current hearing aids and he gave me a hearing test and shared a lot of information pertaining to hearing loss. He made several adjustments to my hearing aids and I could hear and immediate improvement in my current hearing aids. We discussed the new enhancements to the Oticon hearing aids as that is what I currently have and found out that I also qualify for a discount that his office offers and they also checked with my medical insurance and found out that I am can get some of the cost of the hearing aids paid for by my insurance provider.
When I am ready to purchase a new pair of hearing aids I will purchase them from Saleem at the Better Hearing Center and Thanks to Brenda for changing my orginal appointment and for checking on the insurance.

    Dr. Paul Pickrell, MD
The man is a saint. He is punctual. He got the best bedside manner. He is gentle. He knows we are all in pain or we would not be there. He is quiet, calming, and patient. His staff is amazing. They deal with all the insurance hassles and the schedule changes. He is just wonderful.

    Grossmann, Dr. Alicia W.
The initial appointment was fine however
it was the follow up that was very disappointing.  After recommending a
treatment plan Dr. Grossman forgot to order all of my blood tests.  After
asking many questions I was required to come back in and was billed again for
the appointment.  As I'm on what they consider a maintenance drug that was
prescribed a few doctors ago I was given an ultimatum to schedule an appointment
($$$) or be cut off.  I agreed to the
appointment however the office never updated my phone number from a few months
back and failed to call me.  Therefore I was forced to use the on call line
to attempt to refill this RX. This service will cost me an additional $25.00.
The staff told me Dr. Grossman was out of town however she answered my after-hours
call and informed me my phone number had not been updated by her staff.
She was rude throughout the entire call and ended it by hanging up in my
face.  As a result of her ?forgetting?
to order the test she initially suggested I now have an out of pocket expense
of $400.00 that BCBSIL declined.  I also
had to pay co-pay to her office as she billed me for her error only to have her
charge me $25.00 to hang up in my face?
Review the reviews on Yelp?much more accurate.  Dr. Grossman is going to use any way possible
to bill your insurance excessively.  I'm out of $555.00 so this was an expensive mistake for me.

    Northwest Diagnostic Clinic
It went well.  The PAs listen closely, spend a good deal of time with you.  No complaints about care, followup, etc.  The only problem is getting the staff to understand prescription insurance rules and how you usually need a short term RX you fill locally and a longer time period one to mail in.   Been through it several times and they don't always follow through.
We will continue to use them!

    Wiseman Family Practice
They are wonderful. They treat your body as a whole. They just don't try to treat one thing they will look at a full blood panel to ensure there is no underlying cause, such as low thyroids or other issue.

    Spine & Rehabilitation Center

Had PT after most recent knee surgery (This was my third knee surgery.) I also have used Ray for PT after back issues, several times. Ray is the most knowledgeable PT I have ever worked with. He regularly trains PT students, and is very good about considering my overall physical condition. I have had multiple trauma to my left leg due to motorcycle accident in 1978. The resulting arthritis and after effects cause issues in every other injury. I have also had several discs in my neck fused and have recurring sciatica from lower back problems. Ray listens to and addresses my concerns, his staff is pleasant and well trained, and he laughs at my really bad jokes. He has always made time for me when I need it despite a very busy schedule. He also communicates timely and very well with my many physicians, and goes to bat for me if I need it.

The front desk staff and schedulers in this office are also awesome.. They are always pleasant, courteous and efficient.

My only concern is the new phone system which is sometimes difficult to navigate and automated messages aren't always delivered timely. I recommend calling back until you reach a person.
