Unknown whether Flooring is good, except it is zero star for being punctual. Did not show up after two confirmation emails. If appointment made, just keep your fingers crossed that Flooring Direct will show up as promissed.

    L&D Painting and Remodeling
    - [ ] L&D Painting & Remodeling was excellent from start to finish. They scheduled and came to my house for an estimate very quickly. We were getting our house ready to be put on the market for sale and needed a lot of work done. One of the owners, Leo, personally listened to what we wanted and wasnt intimidated by a big job. Leo understood what we wanted and was respectful of the fact that we wanted to stay within a stated budget to get the job done. He was honest about what he could and could not do within the budget and made appropriate recommendations to achieve our goals. We had the entire interior and exterior of the house painted, drywall work, ceiling repair, back yard fence repair and stain, carpet laid throughout the house, garage floor epoxy coating, new bathroom and wall fixtures installed, a new screen door and a few other things. L&D Painting & Remodeling handled every aspect of the job professionally and the workmanship was top notch. Additionally, Leo and his staff went over and above, working late into the night, to deliver the completed job in a very short turnaround because we wanted to put our house on the market ASAP. They did a fantastic job and I would highly recommend L&D Painting and Remodeling to anyone who wants fast and quality work at a fair price!!

The work was a little more involved than any of us thought it would be. The old flooring was glued down and the underflooring needed some repair and to be floated before the vinyl tiles were laid down. To be honest, I'm so glad they did the work because it was a lot more than I wanted to take on after I saw the effort that went into doing it right! They even took out the RV bench seat to do the job right, even after I told them they didn't have to. I'm very pleased with the end result and it looks fantastic!  I've already gotten compliments on the work and I'm really looking forward to my next camping trip. It will feel like a new RV! :-)

It went smooth. I was really impressed with how professional they were. They didn't charge me extra at the end of the job too. They got in and out and took the amount of time that they told me they would take. They got to the job quickly. They didn't ask me to give them money upfront and the job was professional.

I was delighted to work with Carlos! He took me to several different places to pick out cabinets, tile, granite, etc., and was very patient to work with me as I changed my mind about a few things as we proceeded with the project. He was very helpful to discuss various alternatives to the project. I am very pleased with the results!

Working with Jason was a great experience. I wanted a kitchen that was made for cooking as well as hanging out with the cook. One wall needed to come down and the 80's style drop down ceiling had to go. A complete gut was the only way to go.
I went to the super expensive interior design studios and took some pictures of things I liked. Jason was able to find high quality cabinets at a fraction of the price. He really hit the nail on the head.
Once the cabinets were shipped, demolition began. The floor became an issue since our old tile was stuck down so hard it took a jack hammer. Since the slab was all dented, we'd need to level the floor, so I thought it would be cool to do concrete instead of tile. Jason thought about it and liked the idea and he hunted down a subcontractor. I'm really happy with the final result.
The counters and backsplash tile were exactly what I wanted.
The centerpiece is a rolling butcher block island that Jason built from scratch. It replaced an old heavy boxy island. The new island is nimble enough to move around the kitchen as needed. The craftsmanship is amazing. It's really a beautiful and functional piece.
To add a little flair, an artist friend and I got together with Jason to design a rusted steel vent-a-hood cover. This wasn't all planned ahead, it just evolved through dialog. That was the best part of working with Rapid Remodeling, everyone in the crew (Josh and Israel) was very artistic and we thought along the same lines. The end result was a collaboration that far exceeded the original design.
And as an added bonus, the crew even let our dogs out while we were away. They are all dog lovers, that's a good thing!

We were very happy with The Empire of Tile and Granite throughout the process.  We had worked with contractors at previous homes in the past, and our experience with Carlos was far better than we'd had with any previous contractor.  A number of aspects stood out:
    - Carlos remained in communication with us throughout the process.  We could call or text him (including on evenings or weekends) and expect to receive a response quickly, often within minutes.
    - Everyone who worked on our house was someone I felt I could trust.  All of them were polite and skilled at their work.  Carlos was personally present for a good deal of the work, and when he wasn't around there was always someone else (either one of his sons, his wife, or the project manager, and often some combination of those) who could answer questions and address any concerns we had.  As mentioned before, Carlos himself was also always only a text or call away.
    - My wife and I felt that Carlos struck an excellent balance between providing advice about current styles and his honest opinion on our design choices while also letting us reach our own decisions about the way we wanted the house to look.
    - Carlos and his crews had no problem ensuring that even the smallest issues were addressed.  I tend to be a little obsessive, so this was very important to me.
    - We were given an honest cost estimate before we signed a contract, and the only increases in cost during the process resulted from additional work outside the scope of the original contract which was performed at our request.
    - We were given complete freedom to choose our own materials, with Carlos providing any help we requested during this process.  Carlos and his team transported all of the materials to the house for us and also assisted us in returning unused materials after the job was completed.
Finally, and probably most importantly, we are very happy with the completed project.

I purchased this deal several months ago.  The company representative/project manager (Carlos) came to my home and examined what had to be done.  He advised in detail what the "big deal" consisted of and what additional costs could be involved.  He was upfront about everything.  He took measurements and suggested we meet at Floor & Decor In Grand Prairie to find acceptable tile.  I was advised we had a $350 tile allowance and that we needed approximately 115 SF of tile.  We were told that we were 4th in line and that the job would likely be done in December.  We met a couple of times to Floor & Decor and finally selected the tile and stone flooring. We decided not to have the work done during December and ultimately came to agreement to do the work in February which led to March because of the weather.  The delays were understandable.  I purchased the tile and stone flooring.  It was well over the $350 limit, but well worth the additional expenditure.  The work commenced March 10th and was completed March 16th.  The tilers (Daniel & his son) did an outstanding job.  They were meticulous in everything they did; e.g. they protected our flooring, cleaned up after themselves and carefully measured each and every tile cut.  The work work also necessitated replacement of the shower pan and some structural work, which they accomplished in a timely professional manner.  Their work is beautiful.  My wife and I are very satisfied.  The only work that remains is to have a glass contractor come-in to finish the inclosure and I've solicited proposals for the work.  The Empire of Tile and Granite Co. did an excellent job. The project manager is an experienced professional that knows what he's doing and is upfront about everything.  His workman are polite, hardworking artisans. I will use them again and have recommended them to my friends and neighbors.

Removed existing carpeting, padding, then placed heavy plastic on slab,
nailed plywood down and secured wood planks to plywood.  The wood was
sanded multiple times, stain applied, checked for rough spots, and
sealed with polyurethane.  The crew was very organized and efficient.
The floors look and feel awesome!
