Interior Design reviews in Bee Cave

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • Robert Peoples came out to our home with an entire van full of samples. He discussed with us in detail what to expect from each type of flooring sample, along with its price and durability. After we had agreed to a type and price for flooring, Robert's wife, Julie, worked tirelessly with their work crews to get us our new flooring before Thanksgiving. The work crews were timely, very professional and cleaned up after themselves each evening. The new floors and stairs look absolutely amazing. For a remodeling job, it was one of the least painful ones my husband and I have had to endure with one of the best outcomes!

  • Sherry herself was extremely helpful in selecting materials that we used throughout the house, including carpet, tile and hardwood
flooring; kitchen and bathroom countertops; kitchen and master bathroom backsplashes;  tile bathtub/shower surrounds, and a
walk-in shower in the master bath.   She quickly grasped our style and made suggestions that fit our overall color scheme while providing necessary variety from room to room.

The installers used by Sherry's Flooring and Design were excellent.  They took their time preparing the underlying surfaces, laying out the design scheme before actual installation, getting all the lines straight and the joints seamless, and
finishing the smallest details.  They were friendly and considerate and cleaned up their work spaces at the end of
    every day.

Whether your home project is large or relatively small, you should consider using Sherry's Flooring and Design as one of the key suppliers of design services, materials and installation for flooring, countertops, backsplashes, wall tile and other such needs.
You will enjoy working with all the people and the end result with make you proud.

  • If you need an experienced designer who is thoughtful, friendly and professional, look no further than Allie B Design. Having once survived a very trying remodeling experience, we are much more confident moving forward with our new project now that we have engaged Allie. Her calm demeanor and professionalism, combined with the way she synthesizes information and presents your ideas back to you, without trying to "take over" and make the project into something beyond what you want, is reassuring. Most importantly, she hears what you have to say, will make suggestions, but understands that in the end you will be living with the results and deserve to be satisfied with them. And she's super easy to get along with. She walked into our house a stranger and left as a friend. Highly recommended.

  • It was the worst experience I have ever encountered.  Julie (owner) never accompanied the installer during the installation of any of the shades, nor did she bother to come once the installation was complete.  It was only when I returned to the house to see how awful things looked did Julie come out to see what the problem was.   The first shade was installed in the wrong bedroom and I had to bring it to Julie's attention.  Not a big deal, would be easily moved to the correct room when the other shades were to be installed.  When that day came, the other shades were installed and none of the shades had been measured correctly resulting in 2-3" gaps on either side of the shade, allowing plenty of light to come in, not laying flush within the window, and defeating the entire purpose of the shades.  In the dining room, the shades were actually a good 2" too short, again a mismeasurement on someone's part!    It took several weeks  before Julie could make it to my house to even address the situation.  When she finally showed up she claimed that this is how these shades are and that nothing could be done, but she did offer to bring the manufacturer's rep out who "as a favor, agreed to refund my money on all the shades" except the ones in one bedroom saying that "gap" is within industry standard.  Are you kidding me?  I didn't care about any industry standard at that point, all I knew was that they looked awful and totally unacceptable in my mind.  Over the last two months, I have had several other decorators out to my house since this entire fiasco began and each one of them has said those shades were made with material not intended to be used as a shade and these other decorators without a doubt would've refunded my money right there on the spot.  Here it is two months later and I am still asking for my money back on those two roman shades, valued at over $1,000. There is no quality control and no one checking anyone's work as far as the people Julie has working for her.  If you like that kind of end result then you'll be perfectly satisfied with Julie.   Otherwise, I think there are plenty of truly competent interior decorators in the area and you won't have to go through what I've just been through!

  • We had a designer come to our house to measure the office and then we sat with her while she came up with different office designs for us on her computer. Once we picked a style, we met at the showroom to order the hardware and schedule the installation.
Everything was on time and right on schedule. We love our new office.

  • The firm is incredibly talented and has so much experience.  The custom furniture is unbelievable.  Tile selection and design is all we hoped for and more.  Window treatments are great.  They are willing to help with all aspects of design.

  • Iill Gruner was on time and very professional.  She correctly assessed the type of input I was looking for and covered a great deal of ground in discussing design options, design suggestions and recommended sources for materials.  She even sent additional information after our appointment.  I would definitely ask Jill for design assistance again.

  • You never know what you're going to get when you hire a designer. I was so relieved that Eliana turned out to be really, really great. She was very prompt at returning emails and phone calls, on time and professional, and a warm, friendly person whom I enjoyed working with. She also really knows her colors!  Anyone who's ever tried to pick out colors on their own knows how overwhelming that can be, but Eliana helped steer us away from some bad color choices and towards some awesome color combos. By the end of the quite comprehensive color consultation, I was tired but smiling.  I am confident that all the colors will look great together once painted (Goodbye boring beige walls!).  I have zero complaints.

  • What a delight Jill was to work with.  She brought in roughly 6 granite samples, and I picked on out almost immediately.  She brought in several possibilities of back splash tile, and together we made a killer choice.  She brought in her HVAC guy for the hood and the duct work -- that was the only tense moment, as she wanted to go copper because of the dark cabinets in the kitchen...but it  would have doubled the cost.  We quickly agreed, and once it was done, the stainless looks just great.  The cook top was easy (with her guidance)...and she even picked it up. She made several trips bringing different kinds of hardware for the pull-out cabinets and drawers; ultimately, we went without hardware and it all looks fine.
Her subs were terrific people -- exactly what I would have expected from such a terrific lady.
Overall, this experience far, far exceeded my expectations!

  • OverallThis was our first time to work extensively with a designer and we able to greatly exceed our expectations and remain on budget (although, admittedly, we expanded the scope of our project).  Jill, did a fantastic job of understanding what our style preferences were and help us focus our resources to maximize the impact.  We couldn't be happier with the results.
The ContractorsWe used two contractors that she recommended (for the built-in and for the fireplace tile) and were very pleased.  Jill was more than willing to work with other contractors that we chose as well.
The LogisticsJill was extremely easy to communicate with -- via email, text and telephone.  We also felt that her rates and billing practices were extremely fair.  She didn't nickel and dime us and always came in very close to what she estimated up front.  Lastly, she was willing to pass along her discounts to us. The bottom line is that she couldn't have made it easier for us to work together.
