Leveling pier-and-beam foundation on 1938 home

Quality Foundation did a great job. As expected, things came up once the house was lifted. When this happened, they were very conscientious about letting me know what they'd found, how they suggested addressing it, giving us options, and keeping the cost close to the original estimate. We have a vacation home that needs similar work, and definitely plan to call this company to handle it for us.

Fourteen piers placed strategically to correct a two-inch differential from one corner of the house to the other.

Oliver spent over an hour in 2017 taking measurements, explaining the process, and talking over various related issues. He was completely transparent in describing the scope of what could happen in the case of action or inaction (both good and bad). We opted to wait a year and measure again. When we called him to return a year later to repeat the measurements, I fully expected to pay for another visit but he performed the service without charge. Day-of went just as described. A contracted engineer arrived during the process to verify the correctness of it all; when complete he came inside to test whether interior doors were operating properly. The door closest to where the greatest degree of lift occurred was sticking, so they lowered that corner a tiny amount to correct the door-hang. The entire process took only 6 hours. By day's end, we had complete documentation. The price was higher than we hoped, but this process is not one where you want to sacrifice any quality to go with a cheaper contractor. Be prepared to budget an additional $150-300 for a plumber to come within a day or so to perform a hydrostatic test.
