The job was challenging-updating an older, small bathroom. My contractor was detailed, offered suggestions, and maintained high standards in all the work he did. He kept saying he wanted me to be happy, to be pleased, and I am. He had problems pop up unexpectedly, old shower, drainage, toilet, but he fixed them, and kept moving forward on the remodel. He has a wonderful attitude, very focused on delivering a quality job. I am very pleased.

Meagan, Keith and Jose were great to work with on converting a 1970's to a new look. They were involved from beginning to the end. I was kept informed of every step as needed and my changes were handled efficiently. Home Front is a very professional company with the use of quality cabinetry and granite suppliers. The project was completed in the days scheduled. I would use them again without question.

Everything went off without a hitch. Megan was extremely helpful and keep us up to date and David and his crew were top notch. Knowledgeable, helpful and easy to talk with about whatever came up. We are planning more renovations soon and they are our choice to work with again.

This review is double sided.. Overall the final outcome is great. I am happy with it and so is the wife. But there were issues along the way that didn't need to happen and could easily have been avoided. First: There was an error in the estimate writing where Mark stated Kitchen and not Master Bath so the contractors where confused at first. Second: Mark who did the estimate didn't show up at a before the project, during the project, or after the project to check on things. Didn't even call me afterwards to ask how everything went. Third: I got different vibes from the 2 contractors that showed up at first and I went over everything with. The first shorter guy was friendly and spoke english so i talked to him and he translate for the other guy who didn't appear to speak english and also had a lot of excuses as to why some things couldn't be done, or were not done in the process: When looking at the drywall, he said (through translation) that would it be okay to leave behind the glue from the wallpaper if they primed over it. This would be a no, as I was paying for complete removal.... Then he mentioned a tight area between the closet door and entry door where he said they may not be able to get that. I said well that is what I am paying you for. If all of it was easy, I would do it. I called the office and talked with teddy her assured me they would take care of it. They did in the end take care of that stuff, but it wasn't a conversation I should have had to have. Fourth: The entryway door frame had some of the previous paint chip due to water from rubbing up against it when wet, etc. During the time Mark was out there for the appraisal, I showed him that and said I would like it repaired and he said that it typically happened, and no problem. Well, the guy that needed translated painted right over the chips and you could see them under the paint. No sand paper, nothing to fix it before painting it. So I mentioned that spot and he (again through translation) said oh that cant be fixed as it happened from no primer under paint. I said no it was from water as I had stated before, and that they could have at least sanded it before painting it so there were not rough edges and water cracked paint showing through. After the guy that spoke english talked back and forth with the guy, they finally wiped the paint off, sanded, painted and it looked great. Why not just do the right thing from the beginning? Fifth: (and probably partly my fault). Wife bought a new light fixture for where they took the old one down. Same size. Asked if they could just hang that one in the others place, the guy that spoke english said sure.. After the other guy came in, they talked back and forth while i left the room. He came out and told me they couldn't install cause they didn't have the needed backplate. I said id go get it and jumped in truck to head to Lowe's. Wife called to tell me that they said i didn't need to as it came with it. So I came back home. Then they guy said, we can't hang it cause there was a pipe behind the wall and no supporting structure... I said, what was holding the old one? He said it was lighter.. I said well okay that is odd but whatever. I left room. 30 minutes later they asked for new fixture and hung it anyways... Again, why not just do it?! Why keep arguing and causing problems? In the end, it turned out amazing and I know I wrote a lot about issues, but I would hire again. I just wish Mark would have come out to look, or called to address my issues with it so they can be fixed internally. I would recommend, but just be careful to talk through everything and be prepared to stand firm on what you need.

.Services went well, second time out, they come out give a quote they honor the quote. They come out and get the job done, they clean up after themselves. They are good people to have in home. Member received three different quotes and theirs were the most reasonable.

Had an appointment for an estimate on 4/9/15, painter called and re-scheduled for 4/11/15 at 9:30 am. On 4/11/15, painter was a no-show, did not even bother to call customer to say running late, lost etc, , just never showed up. Very unprofessional!

Keith told us that he had a very small crew and it would take 4 weeks to complete all we had to do.  Four weeks is actually how long it took and we add a few things to the workload.  We decided to use Keith because he had the best reviews of any painting contractor on Angie's list.  I read every review on the contractors I considered to make sure I chose the right company.  We didn't want a big crew of people we didn't know in our house when we weren't there.  We didn't want a company that used subs.  We wanted all the employees to be long time employees so we knew that the contractor trusted his employees.  A small responsible group made us feel at ease when we were gone, sometimes all day while they worked.   I have been in business for myself for nearly 40 years so I know how important it is to contract with someone you trust and that, that contractor trust his employees. Integrity, security, quality supplies and quality work was more important to us than speed.
They arrived on-time, all the time.  He has a very small crew Keith and two employees that have been with him several years.  His two employees were very nice and courteous at all times.  We have 5 people including two grandchildren that live in our house so we had to sleep upstairs some but Keith and his crew worked around our needs very well.  Keith's brother had to have an emergency operation so he was gone a couple of days but it didn't slow down progress.  He made sure his employees were lined out before he left and they never slowed down.
Keith was very helpful with picking out paints and stains.
We have a lot of big heavy furniture.  We moved what we could and they helped us with the rest.  They covered everything that was too big to move and left everything clean when they were through.
In the end we are very glad we used Keith Riddle's company and would diffidently use them again.  Integrity, security, and quality was what we wanted and that's what we got.

Bradford & Son Painting & Remodeling

John quickly responded to my request for a bid and was the lowest of 2 bids obtained (a 3rd potential bidder never returned my call).  Because John had just started a large commercial job, it took him over a week to get back to me.  When he did call to tell me that he could start the following weekend, I had to cancel a 4th potential bidder's visit which was scheduled for the next day.  John uses a 2 man crew which is his son-in-law and the son-in-law's brother.  They arrived at the appointed time and day and quickly started work.  Removing old wallpaper and scraping texture from a ceiling is a very messy (and dusty) job, but most of the mess was contained in the plastic sheeting surrounding the areas being worked.. It took them almost 3 days to finish the job (1/2 day Saturday, most of Sunday, and most of Monday).  John informed me that he was being swamped by work offers and felt badly that he couldn't get to everyone who had contacted him.  John and his crew did an excellent job and I'm VERY satisfied.  I highly recommend him and would use him in the future.

    Gold Stars Painting

The guy showed up exactly at 9am as was offered which right there was huge to me. I showed him what I wanted done and he got right to work. He worked quickly and efficiently which I also appreciated. He did almost everything I asked of him and the only reason he couldn't finish is because the power went out an hour before he was done.

I would definitely hire this company again and that guy deserves a raise :)

    Southern Painting - Arlington/Mansfield
This company is a class act! After a fiasco with White Lion painting company Southern Painting was a breath of fresh air! Manager David Dozier is a very personable, efficient, professional who knows what he is doing. Our first meeting he sat with me and listened to what I was wanting. He took his time going over the huge rooms that all have wide crown molding and several wood doors. He gave me a bid, I accepted and we picked a date. He said 3 days it would take for job to be completed. A few other companies told me 7 to 14 days. David left me with color samples, I knew what colors I wanted but was unsure how to pick so all would go together. Southern Painting offers at NO charge an interior designer, Jan. I called David told him I was having problems choosing colors and he happily told me not a problem, let me have Jan give you a call. Within a couple of hours Jan called and made an appointment that same day! Omgosh Jan is fabulous!!! She came in here I told her my colors I was wanting and in no time sshe suggested
GORGEOUS colors and which colors went on this wall and that wall, ceiling colors, etc. So much fun!! On the morning the job was to start David, the foreman and his crew of 7 or 8 showed up right on time, 8am. David, foreman , and I did a carefully explained walk through before job begun. David left, and guys got to work. I can not say enough how impressed I was! This crew knows what they are doing and do it very well! As the end of the day neared they cleaned up everything and were gone at 6pm as promised. The next day again, right on time, 8am and the crew got to work. I need to add these guys are great, a couple could speak English so I could communicate with them, that is very important to me when I have work done in my home. I always felt comfortable and I could tell the guys did not mind at all when I would come and see how all was going. I did such a drastic change it was amazing and so beautiful to watch it all coming together! Absolutely no mishaps, no mistakes...and they finished this HUGE job in 2 days!! I couldn't be more pleased with Southern Painting. The end result is so beautiful, right out of a magazine!!!! I have also hired them to paint the outside of my house in the next month or so.
