    Woody's Tree Service
I hired Woody's to trim some shrubs and a tree for $750, and hired their parent company (Martin and Sons roofing) to replace my roof for about $7,000 - I did them a solid and they did do a good job. Ever since then my contact has told me he would stop by a handful of times and never shows up or calls. I guess they got what they wanted, the big money project, and the other stuff isn't worth their time. But there is no paper trail about the free tree, or anything else they promised me, because then "they'd have to charge me." Jokes on me I guess

    Stenson Landscape & Irrigation, Inc.
After we purchased a 10-year old residential estate on 3.3 acres, Stenson Landscaping was hired in January 2016 to solve the sever drainage issues, upgrade/repair the irrigation system and renovate almost the entire landscape. After considering incomplete advice and proposals from a professional civil engineer and several landscapers who claimed to be drainage experts, James Doyle, co-partner of Stenson Landscaping, was hired to design and install a drainage system to eliminate standing water around the residence. The effective drainage system encompasses a network of approximately 750 linear feet of French drains emptying into two high-performance sump pumps. Afterwards, standing water from rain and irrigation runoff, which was killing plants and trees, was totally eliminated. The residential irrigation controller was replaced by a smart commercial controller with a flow meter to control 26 zones. James, an expert in commercial irrigation solutions, supervised his crew in repairing zone valves and heads. In addition, he prepared a zone chart and zone map of the system. When sensing low-flow alarms caused by blockages and high-flow alarms caused by broken heads, the smart controller dispatches alarms via email to both the property owner and James. The controller can be controlled locally or remotely from a smart phone or computer. Accessible historical data is also continuously recorded. Existing and new beds were essentially planted with new perennials and evergreen plants. Approximately 50 red cedar trees were planted around the perimeter of the property for a screen. Other trees and large shrubs planted were live oak, redbud, crepe myrtle, Japanese maple and holly. Furthermore, Stenson Landscaping install a beautiful stone paving walk and garden patio, driveway stone borders and plant bed stone borders. In addition, they installed bases for statuary and installed plants and drip systems into pottery. After more than one year, James has proactively replaced dead plants and trees without hesitation under warranty. In addition, Stenson Landscaping professionally maintains the entire property under an annual contract to mow, trim, fertilize, weed and insect spraying, etc.

    Treeland Nursery
I purchased two 95 gallon live oaks from Treeland, after visiting their tree farm and several of their competitors. They had the healthiest looking trees, the best selection and the best prices. While they were planting the new trees I also had them move and transplant another tree and remove three pear trees that had been planted by the builder and were not of good quality. Prior to the installation Treeland had dig test come out and mark underground wires, pipes, etc. so I didn't have to worry about the crew digging and possibly cutting a line. The crew of five guys showed up on time and were very efficient and neat. They dug the holes for the trees by hand, moved the trees by hand and put the dirt they dug out into containers, keeping my lawn clean. They staked the new trees, made a nice mound around them and watered them before they left. You wouldn't know they had been here, except for the new trees. I also bought tree gators for the two new trees and the transplanted tree, which are self watering sleeves that go around the trunk. I should also mention I also liked Treeland's guarantee. Communication was excellent throughout the transaction. I would recommend Treeland to anyone looking for trees in the metroplex. I will use them again, and have already told my neighbors.

GLEN BAYS TREE REMOVAL & TRIMMING
Glen and his crew are very professional. Glen worked around my schedule and did an amazing job. Our very large but very sick hackberry tree was removed, the stump was ground down and the ground. The process was smooth and the area was left clean.

    Arbortech Quality Tree Service
Unfortunately, I thought we'd had a great experience.  Seemed incredibly responsive at first and did most of the work on the first day.  However, at the time they couldn't finish the work (grind stumps) due to their machine being out of service.  They created an invoice and asked that they be allowed to return to complete the work the following week.  Now, its been over a month and despite numerous calls and promises they'd come out to finish the work that I've already paid for, I'm still waiting for them grind stumps.
I would HIGHLY recommend that you look for another company if your needing someone to complete the tree service.

    North Texas Tree Specialists
Called for a consult appointment and was told it was $80 just to come out and look at the property and to call 1-2-Tree for any "work" that needed done. Had appointment set up with Tom and no one showed up or even bothered to call. When I called them I was told that they were "stuck in major traffic" - but could not take the time to call and let me know they were running late or not even coming?? Very unprofessional. When I first left a message to set up the initial consult I wasn't called back until the next day and was told that I was being called because they weren't sure if they had contacted me yet or not... seriously? I guess they are busy enough and make enough $ to treat potential customers like crap.

    Cliff's Tree Trimming
Cliff asked me to text photos of my trees, since I was a bit out of his service area.  He then sent me a bid, which I accepted.  He was at my home at 7:15 A.M. on the appointed day, as promised.  He completed the work by mid-afternoon.
He raised the canopies on quite a few young Live Oaks, a couple of Red Oaks, and shaped a Crepe Myrtle and Holly.  Everything was done very neatly and the clean-up was perfect.
The trees look great and this treatment has made my home much more attractive.
Cliff is quite personable and professional.  Highly recommended!

KLS TREE TRIMMING AND REMOVAL SERVICE
First day  KLS Tree Service took down 26 trees and 15? stumps; I paid the contractor (Leon Spradling) because up to this point his follow up was timely and he seemed trust worthy. Leon Spradling said and wrote on my receipt that they would be back to finish on Saturday and Sunday (August 3 and 4) to remove the last tree and stumps , burn pile and cut logs. Leon Spradling did not show then communicated that  he was working 13 hour days and needed a couple of days off. He said he would be there Tuesday, August 6th. Leon Spradling's Tree Service did not show up. He then communicated that he would be there Wednesday, August 7.  Leon Spradlins's Tree Service did not show up. Now he won't answer his phone or communicate at all. He did not finish the paid job.

    Southwind Tree Service
We had JR come out to look at what we wanted done and to provide us with an estimated cost for his services.  He came out on time and was very professional.  We felt his price was very fair based on other bids we had received.
We schedule a date for the tree service and JR and his crew showed up on schedule.  They did an excellent job.  JR always asked when there was any question if a limb should be removed.  We have lived on our property for 18 years and our trees have never looked better.

    KEITH'S TREE SVC
They were prompt and were careful not to damage any roofline, fencing, or the pool. The owner was very nice and the finished product was clean and made our backyard look much less cluttered! The price was a deal for the quality of work they performed.
