Septic Tank Cleaning reviews in Argyle

  • They were very good.  There were no problems with them.  One person came to complete the job and it took them probably 2 hours.  It was well done, nothing spectacular, but certainly no complaints of any kind.  They left the area very clean.

  • They pumped out all three tanks on my aerobic system.  This is the third time I have had this service done since building my home 18 years ago.  These guys cleaned the tanks better then they have ever been cleaned.  I think they were better then when they were installed.  I know I heard large rock/concert pieces pulled out of the solids tank and the only way they could have gotten there was original construction.

Not only did they do a great job, Greg was extremely knowledgeable and taught me a few things about my system I did not know.  That may not sound like much, but I do my own maintenance and most services.  I took the required classes to do this legally and he told me things that I had not learned in class.

Even with Angie's list and home advisor I still have a hard time finding contractors that I can recommend to anyone.  These guy I can recommend with out any worries.

  • I cannot say enough good things about Bob Malone and his crew.  They are responsive, knowledgable, and so polite.  During the heavy rains our car tire got caught on the driveway.  In examining what happened we saw that the front tire of our car had actually caved in the lid of a septic tank.  We have lived in our house 20 years and did not realize there was a septic tank under our driveway.  We were shocked and nervous about what to do.  We contacted A&M Septic and Bob Malone came out the next day and explained what happened.  He had immediate access to County records and not only knew we had 3 septic tanks but also who installed them and their size.  He explained that we could put a new top on the existing tank as an emergency repair or we would have to put in a new aerobic system.  My husband and I were so shocked we could not make an immediate decision and probably called Mr. Malone 5 times to get additional information.  He was always patient and very knowledgable.  When the rains subsided we decided to go with the emergency repair.  As soon as A&M could safely do the repairs they were on the job.  They carefully dug around the three tanks and assessed the situation.  They determined the best plan of action, after discovering the second tank in the driveway, was to make both of them traffic rated.  They began the job at 10AM and were finished by 4PM which involved getting the second new lid.  They did an outstanding job from start to finish.  I would recommend them to anyone needing any type of septic work.

  • On Saturday, we were having a baby shower for my daughter - we had 50 people in attendance.  When it came time to do the massive clean-up, our septic tank alarm began to sound.  My husband looked at the system and we were having an issue with the lift station pump.  We called our normal septic provider and were told they did not do repairs on the weekends.  When I called another company, we were referred to Texas Star Aerobic.  I called on a Saturday afternoon.  The phone was promptly answered by Greg Starr.  He listened to me and then said he could be out within 24 hours.  He came to our home on a Sunday morning to look at our system.  After pulling the pump, he found a wire and cloth in the pump which kept it from working.  Greg offered to replace the pump with one of his to give us a working system until we could call our contractor and have the pump replaced.  After further inspection, Greg was able to repair the pump and return our system to working order.  Then, he sent a step further, pulling our sprinkler pumps to clean them of debris. After spending a couple of hours at our home, the cost for his services - nothing.  He did this work on his own time and provided us with a working system again.

We will be switching our septic service provider to Texas Star Aerobic and can recommend Greg and his company to anyone.

  • We DO NOT recommend A-OK Septic Company! In February 2014, we hired A-OK Septic Company of Alvord, Texas, to pump and clean out our aerobic septic system. On 02/19/2014, A-OK Septic arrived to perform the services. They were at our home for only about 30 minutes before announcing the work was completed, collected full payment ($375.00) and left. The tank covers had been closed, so we accepted the word of the A OK Septic technicians that the tank was completely cleaned out.
During the next scheduled septic system inspection (5/20/2014), our contracted inspection company (not A-OK Septic) reported 11 inches of “thick” sludge was still present in the septic tanks. On 5/28/2014, our inspection company verified the sludge level by sending a second technician to re-measure. The previous measurement was confirmed and they again recommended pumping of the system.
We then contacted A-OK Septic Company by phone (on 5/28/2014) to ask them to return and perform the system cleaning again. During that phone call, the company co-owner would not listen to our request, opting instead to mount a vigorous defense of their company’s work…and refusing to let us talk. A second phone call later that day resulted in another tirade from the company co-owner. At the A-OK Septic co-owner’s request, on 5/28/2014 we mailed copies of A-OK’s TCEQ Report and Receipt, plus a copy of the inspection report from our inspection company showing the sludge measurement in May. These documents were accompanied by a letter of explanation containing our request for A-OK’s personnel to inspect the system themselves.
As of the posting of this review (8/5/2014) we still have not been contacted by anyone from A-OK Septic Company. To finally resolve our septic situation, we had to hire a different septic company to pump out the system on 7/23/2014 at an additional cost of $450. They also measured over 11 inches of sludge in the tanks PRIOR to cleaning. We were extremely offended by the unprofessional manner in which the A-OK company co-owner handled the situation and the fact that they completely ignored their responsibility in this matter.

  • All house toilets overflowed.  Plumber said call a septic pump service.  We called 3 from Angies List.  This one recognized we had an emergency and came pretty quickly (within 2 hours).  They pumped both tanks twice and charged for one time.  We will call them again.

  • It went great. They came quickly, emptied the septic system and reset the alarm.
