    It went pretty terrible. The first call out was simple. The man came in fixed it, told me the heat fuse had been faulty, the dryer vent was clean, everything else looked okay, left. Everything went off without a hitch. It stopped working again a week later. Weird, since we fixed the faulty part. Called again, made a second appointment. The tech comes out, I take him to the laundry room. He confirms the heat fuse blew again, fixes it and said it was because my dryer was pushed too close to the wall(it WAS fairly close, but no more than I've ever seen other dryers). I point out to him that the dryer is not normally that close, and I had only moved it the day before to clean underneath it. He said, "well, then THAT is why it's not working." When I then pointed out it stopped working a week before I moved it and that the previous tech had said there was no issue with placement or any external problems, he became upset. The man started yelling at me and telling me I needed to listen to him because he was right. I'm a young, small, single mom, with three young children under the age of 6. They were terrified, as was I. I kicked him out and asked him not to come back. At this point, I had my older brother come over to take a look. He said to have the same part go faulty within two weeks, there must be a different problem like the thermometer or the heating elements. He tells me to call the company if/when it happens again. Before I used it, I moved the dryer very far away from the wall, just in case. It stops working. I call and make another appointment through the manufacturer. They say there are no other companies, it will have to be ASI. I say okay but request a different tech. Within thirty minutes I get a call from a woman in the office. She, in not very polite terms, calls me a liar, and tells me if I "continue like this" the previous visits and the next one will be very expensive for me, even though my dryer is still under warranty. I canceled the visit and scheduled to pay cash through a different company. I have been verbally abused by their technician and called a liar by their office staff. I hope their company falls into shambles like it deserves to.

    Jerry called and came out at the appointed time. Our 30 year old Maytag dryer was making loud intermittent squealing sounds, but wouldn't do it when Jerry came out. Very grateful that Jerry didn't want to just start replacing different parts if he couldn't hear the actual sound to tell whether it was fixed or not, so he suggested that we video it the next time it made the noise and send the video to the office so he could hear it. The service call charge would be credited at the follow-up visit (I forget how long that credit was good for, but it was a very fair waiting period). The next time the sound started (only a few days later), we made the video and sent it. Jerry came back out, quickly located the worn parts from the video sound, and replaced them. We've put a number of loads through the dryer the past few weeks, and it's worked great.

    Mark was professional, took time to show me what he was doing and how to apply general maintenance on my dryer to avoid future repairs.  He could have claimed that parts needed replacing but didn't.  He was great to work with.   Dryer works better now than I can remember it ever working.

    I called Appliance Service of Houston because of its ratings on Angie's List. My LG Tromm front loading washer has two problems that need attention. The first problem is the soap and fabric softener dispenser door will not pull out and open. The second problem is the machine makes a VERY loud roaring and growling noise on the spin cycle. Tolen came out and diagnosed both problems. He explained what the problem was and what it would take to fix them. He had the full costs of all the parts and labor. He explained exactly what to expect if the repairs were done. Since the main tub bearings need to be replaced they have to almost completely disassemble the machine to reach the part that needs replacing. They would have to take the machine away and do this at their shop. It cannot be done in the home. After Tolen explained everything fully I decided the costs of the repair was too high for an eleven year old machine. I decided not to have the repairs done, so I just paid Tolen for his trip fee and diagnostic services. Tolen is very professional and knowledgeable about his work. I was highly impressed with his professionalism and ability to explain the issues. I am extremely satisfied with Tolen's response and with Appliance Service of Houston. I absolutely would use them again in the future and I do recommend them to anyone needing large appliance repair.  Outstanding service!

    Everything with Farley Appliances went GREAT!!!! He is probably the only man left in this world in todays society that trust a person on their word. I can't say that about my builder. Mr. Farley is a kind, friendly, hardworking man. But most of all trustworthy. I can't praise him enough. Just go in and shop with him. Might be a little less or a little more than your big appliance stores but the personal service is worth it when you want that old feeling that the person waiting on you really cares about what you want not just the dollar sign.

      *** Buyer Beware ***

    My wife and I are Senior Citizens and I called Appliance Service of Houston that I found on Angie's List to repair the our dishwasher's (DW) door because there was no tension and the door fell freely open.  I spoke to Mr. Tolen Hilliard, Owner and we set an appointment. 
    Mr. Hilliard arrived at my home on time and he was well spoken and cordial.  He started to pull my dishwasher out from under the kitchen counter.  He complained that our DW was difficult to remove because it was installed just behind our floor tile and not installed on top of our floor tile so it took him a little extra effort (approximately 3-4 minutes to raise the DW up about 1/4" to pull the DW out from under the counter.  He ended up not completely repairing the DW and when I received his invoice about a week later, to my utter astonishment, Mr. Hilliard tried to collect an additional $95.00 because he stated that lifting the DW above the 1/4" floor tile was "difficult"!  Unbelievable!  Be wary of excuses.
    As with most contractors, proceed with caution and buyer beware!  IF you decide to hire Appliance Services of Houston, get everything in writing "up front" before he begins his work and hold him to it.
    We agreed to $121.78 as payment in full.  We paid $121.78 for a "repair" and we still cannot use our dishwasher.

    I had a really great experience with them. There was no extra charge on the big deal I purchased. They told me what I needed to do to fix the issue which was a small thing that didn't require anything to be fixed. They're really nice. They came out and they said what I needed to do and I was able to do that. They were professional. They knew about the appliances and they were very honest about what I needed.

    A/C was not cooling and they diagnosed the problem as a faulty evaporator coil. The short-term fix of adding freon was done.  They helped get the coil (which was under the warranty date, but never registered by the previous installer) replaced as a warranty issue.  The original service call fee ($150) was waived in consideration of the future call to replace the coil.  The coil was ordered within a few days and the later service was completed in a prompt manner.  The employee, Richard, was courteous, helpful, and prompt.

    They did a terrible job on the work that was done.  Most of the work that I paid for wasn't even done and they ended up walking off and leaving me with a real mess.
     They painted the whole house the wrong color, then repainted, again a different wrong color and different brand of paint than what I had paid for.  They did a messy, horrible job of painting and didn't put all the trim back.
    They broke and threw away a large bathroom mirror and didn't tell me it happened.  They broke and did not replace two closet doors in one of the bedrooms.
     Job was to be completed in one month but after 4 months they walked off job leaving most of work undone and what was done was wrong.
     Since this house was a repo I bought in a different town from where I presently live and I wanted to fix it up to for my Son and his family to live in, I was not able to be there all the time to supervise and they took advantage ot that.
     After they walked off job, I found garage was littered with cig. buts and ashes, garbage, all the old carpet that was pulled up and was to have been hauled to the dump (I paid extra for that)  I also found illegal drug evidence left under the old carpet left in the garage.
    I had put an apt size refrigerator in the bar area and it was gone.
    The laminate flooring I had paid top dollar to them e to install was popping up all over the house and I found out that they had paid some non pros to install it at 1/8th of what I paid them to do it.
     They are con-men and crooks and it was an experience from H***.  I am having to have the whole house redone and it is costing me a fortune to correct this companys mess up.
    Don't use them for anything.   They will tell you anything they think sound good and then do just the opposite and they will take you for a lot of money.

    My air conditioner quit working. I called Weeks in the morning and they set up an appointment for that afternoon. The service tech called before he came to let us know when he would be there. The problem was a burned out capacitor, the cheapest thing on the unit. He had the part in the truck and had the unit working in less than a half hour. We bought the annual service package for two maintenance trips per year since the company was so good to work with.
