    Raintree Healthcare
They are very personable. They do what they can and they get appointments as quick as possible. They treat you as an individual. They make personal connections. The doctor we go to is very personable. He takes his time and is not rushing. He is generally on time while some doctors are usually not. He talks to the kids and asks them questions instead of asking the parents all the time. He explains what he is going to do before he does it. He makes sure everybody understands before he does anything. He is great for the comfort of the kids too.

    Berry, Dr. Marcy L
The scheduling process was easy and effective. We were new patients, and I was still able to use the online scheduling tool. I appreciated that all of the forms were online so I could fill them out prior to the visit. For both visits, we were seen fairly quickly - maybe a 15-20 minute wait, which I'm pretty accustomed to at a doctor's office. Dr. Berry was very nice. She listened to our concerns and prescribed some helpful medication for our daughter's allergies.

The only complaint I have is in regards to billing, I used an FSA account to pay for the sick visit, so I need an insurance EOB to submit as proof of service and payment. It's been over two weeks and the still haven't even filed a claim. I called last week and they said it would be filed on Monday and they would call me when it was, but no call and no claim to date,

Brookwood Family Practice is great. Not only are they great with my son but the entire family can go to the same doctor. They are thorough and attentive and never make you feel rushed. By the same token, they don't schedule so many patients that you end up waiting forever for the doctor to see you.

They are in a huge new building.  I’ve been to different doctors over there for my son; I don’t like all of them.  I think they are all very knowledgeable.  They are very friendly.  The treatment is effective if I can get the right doctor.

Our daughter has been seeing Dr. Yuri Cook since she was born in 2010. He is very knowledgable and thorough. We delivered in the Allen hospital and he came to visit our daughter every day she was there. When we were dismissed, he arranged for us to come see him before office hours so she wouldn't be exposed to any sick children.

We are always seen promptly and all our questions are answered. I never feel rushed. The front office staff remembers my daughter by sight and is always helpful with any billing or scheduling questions we have.

We have also seen Dr. Chad Smith. Everyone is attentive and thorough. Dr. Smith even called me after hearing I had been concerned about a possible need for a CAT scan and spent time on the phone, and again in the office with me. He answered all my questions and calmed my fears. We will continue going to Raintree Pediatrics.

They are very professional and very thorough. They are just very good with kids. Dr Cook is very professional and tells you all the facts. Dr Chad is a little more friendlier with the kids, makes them feel comfortable and he still talks to you with the facts. Dr Chad is the happier kind and Dr Cook is a little serious. I have only been there once and it was under construction. But the last one they had, there was a huge aquarium and the walls were painted with stories. At the end of every visit they gave each kid a lollypop and a sticker. It just makes kids want to go there or not feel so bad because they get something at the end after a shot. The punctuality varies and it?s not consistent. Sometimes they come and get me in right away and sometimes I have to wait there for a while. I would use their services again in the future.

    Kimberly Barksdale MD
AVOID THIS DOCTOR! Google her if you have any questions. I took my daughter to Dr. Barksdale, because at the time She was on Medicaid after an unexpected layoff. The office in NOT friendly or helpful. The staff acts inconvenienced and put out. they do not greet you or acknowledge you other than irritatedly point out that you signed on the wrong line, or you're on the wrong book, or if you're really lucky you'll get a glare. no words, just a glare. and it gets worse from here. Dr. Barksdale is...Rude. Dismissive, condescending. She will interrupt during a question and speak over you, down to you. She's insensitive to my child's nerves at being there and was rude to her too! Dr. Barksdale told my daughter to "suck it up". I've never had billing problems but I can only imagine, as getting acces to records was a nightmare. I will NEVER EVER go back there. DON'T WALK< RUN!!!

Twice our daughter ended up hospitalized with pneumonia after several visits to Raintree failed to yield proper diagnosis or treatment. In the second occurrence we were told we must be exaggerating her fever, to stop giving her breathing treatments as there was no symptom indicating they were needed, and were given no medicine to treat her illness. By the next evening she was in the ER and diagnosed with moderately severe pneumonia. To us the severity of her illness was obvious. We had even reminded them she had once before had a undiagnosed pneumonia and still they didn't even order an x-ray. This was the last straw and we switched doctors. A couple of other negatives. We discovered last month when taking our son to his new Doctor that Raintree failed to give him one of his required immunizations last year (we didn't skip a visit, they gave some of the shots he needed the day we went but not all). Also, they have no x-ray capability in the office or even in the building. You must go to the hospital which gives you longer wait time and also means you must wait longer for a diagnosis. I suspect this factor contributes to their failure to diagnosis pneumonia properly.
