    I have a small house and decided to convert a room for much needed storage. Marcelino worked with me to include every detail I wanted such as space for larger framed items, shelf partitions for the smaller framed items with open space across the top of the 3 units for longer items such as a 10-pack of fluorescent lights. The units are floor to ceiling and integrated into the base and ceiling trim. The materials and workmanship are excellent and the pricing is very reasonable. I will be adding a smaller 2-unit in my office later this year. Marcelino and Laura are a joy to work with, and I highly recommend them.

    I scheduled appointment with Pamela and she came out to my home office to help me get a grip on things. It was a lot of papers and items. This is the third time I have hired Pamela over the last two years. She is very good and I would highly recommend her services.

    My move process was somewhat unique, in that there were essentially three parts involved.  I had my household goods packed, items from my storage area moved, and the household items then moved after the packing was complete.

     The process started out very well from the time I initiated contact with this company.  I immediately received feedback when I sent out the message via Angie?s List and was easily accommodated.  The woman that helped me was extremely helpful in setting everything up for me and would always return my calls in a timely manner.

     

    Moving day started out very well.  The ladies that packed my goods were very good and arrived early to start the process.  The actual cost I ended up paying for the packing was above the estimated price, but I understand I was working solely off of an estimate.

    The first crew that arrived to transfer the items from storage to the home were very efficient.  Work was completed in the allotted 3 hour timeframe and I did not incur additional charges.  Again, they were very good.

    The second part of the move (items from my unit to the home) was more of a challenge.  The crew was set to arrive between 1-3pm, but did not arrive until shortly after 4pm.  It seemed as if the move process from out of the apartment to the truck took forever.  They were blaming the elevator as the problem, but I?m not so sure.  Had they arrived on time, there would likely not have been an issue with the elevator because people typically are not arriving home from work between 1-3pm.  The guys that moved items from the storage unit inside my building did not have any issue with the elevator. 

    One of the walls in my unit was hit pretty hard and it prompted me to take pictures for documentation in the event I lose my security deposit.  In addition, two of the guys were involved in an altercation with each other while moving items out of the apartment.  I heard the two gentlemen cussing at each other to the extent that they eventually apologized to me.  Strange and unprofessional

    After the truck was loaded, they arrived to my home at approximately 8:30pm.  While unloading, I noted they did not put any sort of protection down over my new wood floors (just completed earlier in the week).  They did end up placing about a 6? scratch into the floor in my living area near the stairs.  In addition, a light along the stairway was broken and grease marks were left along the carpet in a spare bedroom where they had placed the pins to the door they removed.  Common sense would tell you to NOT place pins on carpet.

    Overall, the second crew seemed to lack experience.  I ended up jumping in to help unload items, as I did not want to the cost of the move continue to grow and I did not want to disturb my neighbors too late at night.  They left trash outside my new home upon leaving.  The crew went well over the estimated price and it remains extremely frustrating.  I was hoping to have received a call from this company to check on the overall move process so I could share my feedback, but have not received anything at this point.  The only call I received was late on Friday evening requesting I look for unused packing materials.  At that point, I had no idea what the guy had was referring to.  This move started out well, but ended up leaving a sour taste.  I have a good friend moving in the near future and he has requested information on the company I used, but I am not certain I want to provide it at this point based on my experience.

    We contacted Garage Concepts for an estimate for garage cabinets.  We had an idea and rough diagram of what we wanted -- cabinets up off the floor and with doors for a clean look and so that sawdust from woodworking projects did not settle on all the garage shelves and contents.  Rob and Rick came out with samples and explained what they offer and how they work.  Their cabinets are very sturdy, 3/4 inch plywood with laminated sides (white on the inside and whatever you want on the outside), with black edging in a rubber-like material that is slightly rounded on the edges.  They install their cabinets with bolts and take the time and effort needed to get them installed with precision -- no shortcuts.
    We received an estimate several days after the visit and it included detail pricing and a diagram.   We went back and forth on the sizes and positioning and every time, Rob was professional, prompt and always willing to explain the whys behind something.  They work to get you the most storage for their source's pricing schedule and so we were able to get additional depth in some cases without an increase in cost.  
    The hardest part of the process was choosing the laminate.  They can get you any laminate color/design that's produced by the main laminate producers.  That's a lot of choices and so you have to know what you want; Rob and Rick are not color experts, although they will give you recommendations based on what's worked for them in the past.  Rob lent us a chain of laminate samples, pointed us to the various manufacturers, and patiently waited while we figured out which option to go with.
    Once we decided, it took several weeks to get the cabinets built and get on the schedule.  It took Rob and Rick two full days to install the cabinets; they arrived and worked fairly quietly, getting each cabinet just right.  They had to install around a window and a wall that had a bump-out that housed the water heater drain pipes and they did an excellent job.
    We are 100% happy with the work Garage Concepts did for us; they were great to work with and are well worth the price!

    Nancy is a force of nature. Thank God there are people who love to organize because I'm not one of them :-). Both my wife and I have the "pack rat" gene. Not only did she come in and get everything sorted out, but she also hauled away those things that could be donated and made sure to give me a receipt for my taxes.

    I will definitely be using Nancy again in the future because I have plenty of "opportunities" in the house that she has yet had a chance to discover :-)

    Working with the team at Get Organized! was very enjoyable. The organizers, Rachel and Stephanie, were friendly and professional.  I was in a time crunch due to family coming in and Lorraine worked with me to get it scheduled quickly.  They came in and got right to work categorizing the contents of the garage.  They were very efficient and worked very hard.  It took a bit longer than I had anticipated however, that was mainly due to the need for detailed organization of the tools (that were a mess) and need to hang some racks for bikes and tools. Because of my need for quick turn around we did a phone consultation and it is a bit difficult to determine how much time it will take from pictures. If time allows and cost is a concern, I would recommend an in-home consultation to get a better idea of the level of effort to complete the job.  The final result is great and I love it every time I pull into the garage and don't have worry about when I will get to organizing it myself. :)

    In a word Garage Outfitters did an outstanding job!
    My wife and I have been homeowners for 38 years and have owned 6 homes. We have invested quite a bit in updating our homes, especially our current home and I honestly believe the Garage and quot;transformationand quot; by Rob Nitka and his team has been one our best investments. Rob, the company's owner, was completly professional and always prompt whether it was appointments or answering emails or returning phone messages. Considerable upfront planning at our home, measuring and weighing options helped us form the best overall solution. Although the company has a showroom seeing the finished product in your own home is hard to adequately describe. We have a typical 2 car garage and could park both vehicles in the garage, but having a professionally designed system with beautiful cabninets and a goregous floor is something to really take pride in and feel good about.
    I can't say enough about the installation team. and quot;Real prosand quot; who are trained employees, take great pride in product and will go the extra mile. I know the team did a lot little extras and I really appreciate it. They're respectful of the home, and of course, 'easy to get along with' as the job progresses.
    Garage Outfitters's performance has reaffirmed to my wife and I that we made a sound investment and one we'll feel good about for years to come.

    I spoke with Nancy to set a date and time. She came by for a free initial consultation and discussed her suggestions and how she thought we should approach things. I gave her a tour of my house so she could see other storage options and she had some good ideas of where things could be placed. Her rates were $50/hour with a 4- hour minimum. We both felt we could do the space in this amount of time. Not only was my closet disorganized, but the room itself was in disorder.
    Nancy arrived on the date and started right in. She did a lot of the stair climbing to place objects in their new home. She organized my space based on the craft and supplies so that it was a logical layout. I had many storage boxes already labeled and in place. Many of the things I had were fine, but some items were stored in storage boxes that could be better utilized and more appropriately categorized.
    At the end of the 4 hours I was exhausted. The closet looked soooo much better, the room was a little improved. By the end of the four hours I was too tired to work any longer. Even though the room itself was not where I wanted it to be, I decided to see if I could get it straightened up myself since the closet was perfectly done. I definitely think Nancy was a help in getting my things organized. She helped me determine what to keep and what to give away. I plan to have her come again when I get ready to do my garage, which will probably be an all day event.

    While there was some initial confusion over the final cost, after deduction of the Angie's List coupon, the owner very quickly resolved the issue in a respectful and judicious manner. Overall, it was a very good experience, and we will use them, again, if the occasion arises.

    It went very well. They sorted everything down to the last screw in the garage and notion in the sewing room, labeling each bin and drawer! I liked the fact that they could sort through most everything without my assistance and give me small to-do's as needed.
