    Chain of Events: May 4, 2017: Mark and Mark Jr. picked up the chest from my home. Judy said it would take 4-6 weeks to complete. June 16, 2017 (week 6): Called Judy to find out what the status of my cedar chest is. She said she did not know, but she would text me the status. She told me they have a backlog of work because of the thunderstorms we were having. Wood is not able to cure correctly, or something of that sort. I said fine, not a problem. just let me know when it's ready. July 5, 2017 (week 9): Called Judy again to find out what the status is. She wasn't sure, but would let me know. She called/texted back to say next Friday, July 14 between 3-5pm it would be delivered. The delivery crew would call me when they are on their way and she would waive the $60 fee since they had it so long. I said, Great! July 14, 2017 (week 10): My husband and I rearranged our schedules this day in anticipation for delivery between 3-5pm. I had out-of-town guests to pickup at the airport, so my husband came home early from work to wait for the delivery and write a check. I returned from the airport at 5PM and Furniture Fixology was a no-show and no call. I called Judy and asked her "where my chest is." She said, "I'm wondering the same thing." I get a call back from "Mark" after 5pm. He said he was in the Dallas area and wouldn't make it to McKinney until around 7PM. He said his current job is taking longer than expected; his client's child placed their hand on a piece he was fixing and he had to fix the damage. He went on and on about his current problem. I said that's fine, I'll be home waiting for the 7pm delivery. He said, ok. 7:30PM still had not arrived. No call to let me know he was running late. At this time I called Mark's cell phone; no answer. I called Judy's cell phone; no answer. I left a voicemail for both of them. After we cancelled dinner plans with our guests; unpacked our historical WWII memorabilia to store in the chest and waited 4 1/2 hours, Mark finally calls me back saying he can't make it. I said, "this is a problem. If you were not going to make it you should have called." I was not happy about the fact we rearranged our schedule with our guests; and waited all afternoon through the evening. He said, "well there's no need to get upset, it's not a focal-piece, I will deliver it tomorrow (Saturday)." I said, "fine, just leave the chest outside and I will mail a check since we won't be home tomorrow." He said, "no". So I hung up on him. It was pointless for me to argue with Mark because he was more concerned about his problems. I told Mark I found his lack of consideration for our time unacceptable. Now I don't know when I will get my chest back and no one has called to reschedule the delivery of my 80 year old cedar chest. So this is currently an ongoing issue. July 25, 2017: Finally received delivery of my cedar chest. They did a good job. However, no mention of an apology for the mess leading up to this. They did waive the $60 delivery fee.

    My experience was great. My husband checked it out and we looked at different ones on line: what they did and what we wanted. We cook a lot when it comes to the holidays, so we wanted one that had a bigger inside than what we had before. We were looking for a stainless steel one too. So, we did that and got it from there. We did the installation ourselves. They're always really good. Being local, we know a lot of people around here so we know a lot of the people that work there. Plus, I think it's my husband's second home.

    We don't deal with the staff usually. My husband investigates everything online first, on the product. He's a very technical kind of guy so he investigates everything on-line first on what's the best out there. We check to see if they have it. If so, we go in and look at it and usually purchase it, that's it. The staff is great there. Delivery and installation was perfect. They came in, took the old ones out, and put the new ones in. That was it. Out of everybody, their price was the best. We've always dealt with them. We've lived here for 12 years and they're the best.

    Eric did an amazing job cleaning our white sofa. The upholstery fabric looked brand new once he was finished. He was very thorough and professional. This is the 3rd time we've used Simply Clean. They have also cleaned several of our oriental rugs and the carpet. We have always been very happy with their service.

    Hi Christy (Christy Vincent ��� Claims Dept),

    As a follow up to our conversation last week where I relayed that our move was only to move items within the residence (and an add on small piano to move to another residence less than 5 miles away - charged an additional $75).

    The 2 men were unable to move a couch to the second floor.  They spent quite a bit of time trying to maneuver it. They brought the couch back down stairs.

    The gouges/scratches in the door are from them trying to move a refrigerator from the laundry room into the garage.  Much time was wasted with them removing the doors from the refrigerator and placing them back on. They initially wanted to remove an 8 foot steel door from the hinges - but I refused to allow this.  We originally brought this refrigerator in our front door by only removing the refrigerator handles, without incident/damage, by professional movers.

    Jacob had to tell his moving partner a couple of times to put down and wrap the item being moved.

    30 minutes was deducted from the total time.  Jacob noted that this was for damages, but I say it should be for time wasted on the couch and refrigerator.

    Jacob also said he would have someone come fix all the damages - I don't feel comfortable about this.  I asked to be copied on the photos being sent to the claims department that he took.  I was shocked to hear you only received 3.  Damages are compiled into the pdf attached.  As I stated last week, many of the areas have already been spackled/filled and I was able to wipe some of the scuffs not shown in the pictures.

    I do request that I be reimbursed for your repair person's time to come assess, do color matches for the door and wall paint, wood fill and paint touch up.  You were going to speak with someone about this, hopefully the attachment will help.  I will hire someone to fix all damages that I trust.

    I am truly disappointed with their lack of respect for personal property having caused so much damage while moving so few things.

    Hi Kari,

    Good morning! Christy has reviewed your claim and would like to offer you $75.00 back from your move. This is in addition to the deductions Jacob already applied: 30 minutes deducted, no extra stop fee, time for piano transport, and reduced piano fee.

    Please sign and date attached release form if this settlement is satisfactory. Please provide the last 4 digits of the card you used with us or verify your address and we can mail you your settlement. In response to this email is acknowledgment that the carrier and its agents are discharged from any and all future claims, law suits, and complaints of whatsoever nature. This offer is valid for 14 days.

    Hi Christy,

    I followed up with Genell this past Wednesday for AB Moving's resolution.  She said you were satisfied that a settlement of $75 was equal to half the moving costs due to a reduced piano rate and time deducted from the initial bill.

    Again to clarify, time deducted from the initial bill was time wasted from the inexperience of the movers - this time should not even be a factor, especially with all the damage they did banging and scraping items into doors and walls. The rate paid for the small piano was $75 which was moved less than 5 miles away and was to include reassembly of 3 legs...which it did not.

    Genell reviewed the damaged photos again and said she would bring this to your attention.  I take it from the lack of response, you are not interested in my counter offer.

    Please keep your $75 to settle.  I am actually offended and insulted.  This won't pay for damages and another moving crew to complete the job.

    I would rather voice my opinions/dissatisfaction of the movers and your company on social media.

    Norbert is very professional and he moved a Yamaha piano from uptown Dallas to Allen. He and his wife are very interesting people and have exceptional knowledge of piano. They don't move piano for cash but for fun and don't want any piano damaged by unprofessional movers.

    He spent time with us to make sure every detail is perfect and no change to go wrong. Highly recommend him to anybody who needs tuning or moving services.

    They were excellent. My husband wasn't at home and it was just my daughter and I. She was so excited to watch and they were so sweet to her. They made me feel completely comfortable having them in my home. As for their work, I couldn't have been happier. They put the table together carefully and quickly. They made sure everything was perfect and level and even vacuumed. These guys are the best. They also offer great deals on pool table accessories so if you see down thing you like, ask if they have it first and they will give you a great deal. I couldn't be happier and will definitely recommend them to all of my friends.

    The couch seat had become worn down and started to dip in. It was uncomfortable and not appealing to the eye. It now looks like new and feels amazing again. Excellent quality work, and fantastic service. I will call them again for any other furniture needs and refer friends and family to use them for service as well!
