    Massage Envy Spa Frazier Northshore
When I arrived, I was asked to complete a medical history and was escorted to a private room to review my information. The attendant explained what I could expect during my session and asked if I had any questions. From there, I was escorted to a dimly lit private room with soothing music where I received my massage. The masseur, Jimmy, asked if there were any issues I had that I would like him to pay extra attention to and told me to let him know, at any point, if I wanted more or less pressure. The massage was enjoyable and relaxing. Once it was over, I got dressed and was met at the door with a cup of water. After the massage, Jimmy escorted me to the lobby where I was given a brief, no pressure explanation of the membership benefits and I signed up. I've had four appointments and go for my fifth in two weeks. I couldn't be more pleased with the services I've received.

The student massages are $25 and the licensed massages are $35. Massages are very personal, and this is a school and all in all I don't think this is a bad one. But they know what they are doing. I have never walked away from there dissatisfied. It is not a fancy place but it is clean.

The service was fine, everything went well. We went in on a trial basis, and everything went well. The price was good for the first time, and in order to get the same price, you have to sign a commitment with them. They want you to go every month, and we didn't want to go every month. The massage was great. If you go back, it is much more expensive, unless you are a member.

My husband liked the bedside manner and they are reputable. He went to a last visit on follow up. He had his appointment right away. They have many doctors. He went in there and sat for a while. One of the staff is not friendly. Communication was excellent. We did not have any problems with the billing.

I had xrays taken quickly and less than a ten minute wait for the doctor while in the exam room. He did a short, but not intensive, physical exam. I was prescribed a short round of physical therapy but had to ask for pain medicine, as I was in extreme pain and could barely walk or get into my car. I felt like I was shuffled out of the room as soon as possible. I spent a lot more time waiting to get called back than I did in the back for my appointment. Overall, my back didn't get better due to this visit or the PT.
There was inaccurate info, dated before my initial visit, in my online patient record that took multiple phone calls, emails and messages via the Patient Portal before it was removed many months later.

    Focus 4 Massage
Booking was easy. They have online booking which allows you to see the schedule for each therapist and then lock in the date and time you want. I received a good, quality massage. They are also very affordable. Your first massage is either $36 or $39. After that, if you are a and quot;frequent flyerand quot;...in other words, you go at least once in 30 days, the rates remain very low. This is also a Christian-owned business for those who enjoy supporting fellow believers.

This particular massage was really awful. The therapist was very sweet and friendly, but it was as if she'd had no training. I've had NUMEROUS massages over the years and hers was one of the very worst. This was supposed to be the Swedish/Relaxation massage, but it was actually painful. She would dig the ends of her fingers into my back stabbing me. I even winced and said that it hurt, but her technique didn't change. She also frequently took her hands off of me. There was no flow to the massage at all.
I have previously had a very enjoyable facial at Natural Body, and I know others have had a good massage there, but I won't risk that again.
Lastly, when I walked in the door for my massage appointment, loud rock music was playing. It was more spa-like back in the room, but the environment upon entry was not conducive to relaxation and getting prepared to go back for a massage.

    Focus 4 Massage
As one who has had many massages, Focus4Massage rates fairly well if massage is your focus. They are open 7 days a week and are very affordable. First-timers and and quot;frequent fliersand quot; get great rates. They are not a full-service spa, but rather focus just on massage. The therapist I used was very good, and friends that I've sent there had good experiences with the other therapists. F4M is not a fancy spa-like place, but is a cute little cottage and is very clean. The reasons I did not give a perfect rating: The costs are minimized by not employing a receptionist or scheduler, so it can be difficult to catch someone by phone. You can make appointments online, though, and that usually worked for me. The music - F4M is a Christian-owned business, which is great. I'm a Christian and love supporting those businesses. However, the last couple of times I went, a good deal of piano hymns were played instead of the usual spa music they had been playing. I felt like I was at a funeral home. I did say something to my therapist, and he said someone else had complained as well, so maybe that has stopped. I haven't been since August, so hopefully that was remedied.

Got same-day appointment and it was cheap, but that's where the good ends. Based on the name, I thought I'd be going to a decent place. Not a spa, but something along the lines of Miller-Motte. I couldn't have been more wrong! I seriously should have walked out as soon as I walked in. There are burglar bars on the building, it is old and dingy inside, and just thin, thin sheets on a hard table. No pad under the sheets. The room was right on the and quot;lobby, and quot; and there was just an overhead light. No piped in music, just a boom box in the corner. The therapist was horrible! He was nice, but his massage techniques were awful. I really find it hard to believe that he teaches at this and quot;instituteand quot;. He had freezing hands and long nails. He scratched me several times, including once so bad that I had a long, scabbed-over mark on my back. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

Very nice and clean. Pretty and new. Massage was very good and therapist very pleasant. Friendly pressure to purchase membership. Would not return because I don't want membership, therefore would have to pay high salon price. For that price, I'll actually go to the nicer salon/day spa. If the prices were always lower, I would return. Great location for those of us who work downtown.
