I took my golden retrievers to Kim based on a recommendation from other professionals. It was easy to get an appointment and you could see that she really cared about the dogs from the get go. She now routinely does my goldens about every two weeks. When she encounters something unexpected ( tick, dirty ears etc.) she lets us know so that we can address the issue. Wonderful experience!!

I couldn't be happier. She charges more than the groomer that I had been using. But, she is well worth every penny. Even my husband, who doesn't just pinch pennies, he mauls them to death is sold on the value of her service. Not only did she do the best job of grooming them of any groomer that has worked on my dogs, they actually liked it. Happy Hounds Groomers are fast, extremely thorough, patient and affectionate towards the dogs. I've never seen anything like it in a grooming shop. Normally, taking my dogs to the groomer isn't pretty. They hate it. And, have even come home injured. I watched surreptitiously through the windows of the van. My dogs actually liked being groomed by her. Her husband helped her and they make a great team. Every time that I came out and peeked in the windows, the two of them were talking kindly to the dog and at least one of the four hands on the dog was petting, soothing. They raked the undercoat out prior to bathing the dogs and did a more thorough job of it than any of the other groomers I've used. When they were drying the dog that is a tick magnet, her husband used the blower to find every tick and she carefully removed them. They even use a Dremel on the nails. I love this! My dogs hate the clippers and the Dremel leaves smooth edges. One of my dogs has skin issues and unless bathed with a high quality hypoallergenic shampoo he itches horribly. The "doggie cologne" that most groomers use makes him itch and gives me migraines. Every grooming shop that I've taken him to has frequently used the wrong shampoo and sprayed my dogs with cologne. I wind up either bathing him myself that night or having to give him allergy meds to make it through the night and then taking them back the next day to be bathed again. Hassle for me, misery for the dogs. Happy Hounds used a great hypoallergenic shampoo, no cologne. And, I'm sure that I'll never have a problem with them because they start grooming as soon as I hand the dog over. There is no chance for lack of communication between check in and grooming. I've never been happier with a grooming service, even when one of my best friend's was the groomer.
