Hershel and his two guys jumped in, worked like it was their money. and completed the job !!! These guys are the backbone of the company and give all the non earners a very good name. Hershel and his crew should be compensated for their extremely hard work and dedication to AFS !!! All 3 guys are GREAT guys !!!

These guys are just wonderful. The big take away here is that they are honest professionals. The owner came out with a member of his team and thoroughly checked our home for mold. They explained what they were looking for and what they saw. To our great relief, we were told we didn’t have a mold problem and that we had no need of their services! No fear tactics, no sales push, just honest assessment. I’m thankful for their knowledge and professionalism and would highly recommend these guys if anyone I know ever does have a mold problem because I trust that they will only do what needs to be done with out the worry of being over charged.

Salesman Walt Kimbro came to quote me on the crawlspace upgrade.  He was very knowledgeable and professional.  I knew the work would not be cheap based on comments in Angie's List but it was necessary - my crawlspace was damp and there was mold.  Walt patiently worked with me through the contract process knowing it's not easy to spend $8500 on a part of your house you don't see very often. The crew of Nick, Ben and Reese were excellent.  Nick kept me informed of their arrival times.  They answered questions and tolerated my photographs as the work progressed.  They cleaned out all old insulation and debris from the crawlspace and hauled it away - they even took some other wood and rebar that was hanging around.  They applied a mold spray to kill mold.   Part of the job involved grading the crawlspace floor which was not easy since here in Chattanooga we don't have soil, we have rock with some clay mixed in.  They insulated the foundation walls with a thick product called Silverglo.  It covered the old foundation vents to stop outside air from entering.   After that a 20 mil vapor barrier was laid down covering the floor and going partially up the walls and covering the piers.  The Silverglo was also cut to fit between each floor joist to insulate the sill plate.  A sump drain with alarm was installed at the low point of the crawlspace floor.   Foam was used to seal every crack and hole.  They installed a weatherproof door in place of my old crawlspace door.  Finally, a dehumidifier was installed and tested. I am very pleased with the work that was done and very happy with the results.   I used to hate my crawlspace - it was a nasty, damp, bug-infested part of my house that I didn't want to go into.  Now I love it.  I can go in there to inspect my plumbing, HVAC, dryer vent, etc, and it is clean, dry, and pleasant.  I know it is better for my house and it is healthier for me and my family.

    PuroClean Restoration Cleaning LLC
They dried out my basement, cut the wet dry wall out and made sure the basement was dry, they treated with mold and mildew preventative cleaners, they packed and moved all items, they painted the walls and trim.  After all work was completed they moved household items back into the home.   When this first accrued I contacted local companies in Chattanooga.  I received no call backs and no one answered their phones, this company is located in Rome.  I am more than happy with the work, Jackie Copeland, owner was wonderful in taking care of all of our needs.  I am please with the workman ship and the paint job is to perfection.   Jackie Copeland worked with my insurance company and took a lot of stress off of me.  I got quality work, everything went smoothly and we are happy.

    Ideal Property Inspections LLC
The inspection for the first home went well. Roland invited us to follow along with him and was communicative throughout his inspection, explaining what might need fixing and why. He's kind and patient on top of being professional, and is someone I clearly trust for repeated service. We are schedule for the second inspection tomorrow (as I write this) but Roland was understanding enough to do additional tests on water pressure (the house has old pipes) and since we live out of town has offered to Facetime with us while he does the inspection so that we can be a part of it and see what he sees as he sees it. We have confidence that Roland will point out any areas of concern.

Hands down one of the most thorough inspections my home has had to date. Victor tracked all potential sources of the offending mold and then was extremely helpful in putting together a plan of action for my home going forward. This plan was not industry referrals (he will not refer you to any business in order to remain impartial), but more of a practical plan that my husband and I could put into place with no pressure to purchase a remediation package. Such an incredible value.

    Thomas Company Inc.
I was in need of a Mold Specialist. I had heard and read so many horror stories. I didn't know what was true and what wasn't. I need to to get a professional opinion. Naturally, I searched Angie's List and found Thomas Companies. Their remediation was safe for humans, pets, and protected the environment. I was very impressed by those factors. I called the company and spoke with Gary Thomas. Just the short conversation we had put my mind at ease. He came to my home the next morning as scheduled. He was very professional and very down to earth. The very first thing he did was checked the furnace filter upstairs.(needed changed). Then we proceeded to the basement. Once again, he checked the furnace filter and much to my surprise, it had been removed. He then checked walls, ceilings, closets, hot water tank and told me how to clean the drains in my gas furnaces. During the inspection, he showed me what he found, reason why it was there, the best process for removal, and a resolution to keep it from returning. Mr Thomas could have handed me a line a mile long using professional jargon, charged me an outrageous price and I wouldn't have known any different. Instead, He showed me the safest and most economical methods. I was very impressed and HIGHLY recommend this company! A VERY SATISFIED CONSUMER

    Precise Inspections, Inc
He conducted a very complete and detailed inspection of a house we are looking to purchase..  He started on the roof and worked his way around the property and then through the interior.  He took numerous pictures of all areas of  concern.  Upon completion he sat down with us and went over each item and his recommendations.  Within 2 days we had a very detailed written report, we he sent us electronically,  showing all the areas he found with a picture of the item, what the problem was and what need to be down to correct the problem.  He also did a Radon test and arraigned for a termite/pest inspection and provided written reports of both of these.

    Indoor Air Quality Specialists, Inc.
We were very pleased with the work as performed. First insulation was removed from the crawlspace and placed in a dumpster for off site removal. The mold was blasted out with a soda blaster product and mold preventative sprayed on. A gravel filled trench was dug along the block walls and a sump pump installed to pump out any water. A dehumidifier was installed to keep the humidity level within acceptable levels. We contracted an electrical contractor to provide an electrical outlet for the sump pump/dehumidifier. Foam insulation was nailed to the block walls and covered with heavy plastic. The dehumidifier was directed to the sump pump and sump pump was piped to drain outside. Mr. Church and his crew were great to work with. Very professional, knowledgeable, and customer friendly. The project took somewhat longer to complete than they anticipated but we were patient and okay with that.
