I could not be happier with the results. When the crew said they would arrive, they did. When I asked Will questions about the job, he was always immediately responsive. I had heard so many horror stories from friends about contractors. So, we were wary, but Angie's List steered us in the right direction. I read the reviews on AL, contacted three contractors and after meeting all three, we chose Summit Painting and Remodeling. They gave us the middle of three estimates. We are glad we chose Will. I felt that we were treated honestly and with respect throughout the remodeling process. At one point I was unhappy with the tile in the bathroom and Will made it right, at no cost to me. That was impressive; there was no argument or delay, he just did the right thing. We will definitely use them again - probably in the near future!

Response was fast. Work crew was very careful and professional. Utility room floor was nicely patched with smoothed concrete; I only had to replace about 6 tiles for a like-new appearance. later Job took about 6 or 7 hrs, start to finish. No leaks, and water pressure about 5 psi higher than before the break, probably due to smooth new pipe interior. EXCELLENT alternative to digging up concrete slab and interior flooring across half the house, and much cheaper to boot. Also, if PEX pipe should ever fail (unlikely), it can be pulled from the protective plastic conduit and replaced by a new one, with no excavation. Definitely would use this approach again.

The work was well done; the team doing the work were professional, efficient, and courteous. The team leader (Grant) knew exactly what we expected when he arrived, so I know the representative who scoped the job for us (Dylan) communicated with him before he arrived. Grant kept us up to date on his progress and was very thorough when walking us through the finished product. They left our space absolutely spotless. These guys (Dylan, Grant, and Grant's team) were all good. In a nutshell, they told us what they were going to do, did it, and then told us what they had done.

Overall, I could not have been more pleased with the job that they performed. It was not an inexpensive job, but I did my homework and received multiple estimates for the work to be performed. All of the estimates that I received were very close as far as quoted cost went, but when you started comparing apples to apples there was no comparison. The job that they did was a complete turn key installation. Some of the others wanted to charge as much as $350 extra for things such as theinstallation ofan electrical outlet if I didn't do it myself, or they were not going to encapsulate the walls, just the floors - for about the same cost. Even moreimportantthey provided me with a 5 year warranty on the complete installation - including mold. The other guys would not provide a mold warranty. I didn't want to spend this amount of money and have noguaranteethat it was going to cure the problem. Finally, all of their employees were very professional and courteous. From the original inspection and estimate, there was never any high pressure sales tactics. The other guys tried to pressure me into signing a contract by offering a 7% discount if I signed on the spot,. Turned out after I did all of my research thatthe other guys7% discount only got them to a competitive price with the Crawl Space Ninjas but with a much smaller scope of work. Any time that I had questions along the way, they were very quick to respond.

    Breathe Easy Mold Remediation
This provider ignored my specific request to contact me by cell phone (in the notes of my purchase) to set up our first meeting.  Three days later he replied by email.  But because I did not check my email regularly (which is why I had asked him to call me), I did not see his response for another three says.  By then, I was nose deep in last minute preparations the week before my wedding.  Again, I asked him to call me or text me to work out the details.  He never did.  I got married, went on my honeymoon, came home and got swamped with life again.  I forgot about this project until 11 days ago.  I requested that he contact me if he was still interested in doing the work on my crawlspace.  No response.  Four days later I asked for a refund if he did not plan to do the work that I had already paid for.  Still no response.  I either want him to do the work or refund my money.  All of this could have worked out much differently if he had just called or texted me in the beginning as I very specifically requested.

Installation went smoothly - they arrived on time, took as long (~half a day) as estimated, and did a great job both technically and aesthetically (aside from the PVC pipe on the side of the house, which isn't really their fault). Our radon levels in the basement dropped from well above the recommended limit to basically background numbers. I give them a 'B' on price because their estimate was 50% more than the second estimate we got. We asked, and they matched the lower number without complaint.

If you want professional service with integrity, hard workers, results, and satisfaction:  call Master Dry.
David Brûlée answered endless questions patiently and respectfully about the encapsulation system I needed for my crawl space and sold me only what I really needed.  Because of my allergies to mold, he worked hard to expedite my install even though they were very busy.
Nick and Benjamin worked hard and long without any breaks on the installation, but they were never too busy to answer all questions in a friendly and respectful way.  It was amazing how they transformed my crawl space and when they were finished they hauled away everything and left no evidence they had been there except for a bright, clean, dry crawl space.
Sarah called me to follow up on the work and see how everything went.  I told her the work wasn?t finished yet.  That the crawl door had to be changed/modified.  I had failed to ask the right questions and did not realize the opening would be reduced and that the new door would require more strength and skill to handle than my old door.  She told me Nick had included a note in my file and that they would come up with a solution.
Josh, the Operations Manager told me Curtis would come and fix the door, but since he was on vacation and I would have to wait, I could withhold twice the price of the door until the work had been done to my satisfaction.
Curtis came to build me a door.  He was very cheerful, patient, respectful, and skilled.  You could tell he enjoyed his job.  He took the time to get all input on my concerns and what it would take to make the door easily accessible for me.  He was there to make sure I was satisfied and was willing to listen to any ideas I had for a solution.  He included me in every step of the process to be sure I was satisfied.  When he was finished I not only had a door with easy access, but it also looked great!
I'd also like to mention Denise.  She?s always been so cheerful and efficient when I call.  She always finds a way to help you herself and/or put you in contact with the right person to meet your needs.
As I told Curtis: ?Your excellent work and willingness to do the job to my satisfaction and all the others at Master Dry who have done the same have made up for the shoddy work and poor service that I have had to put up with in the last few years.?
Master Dry is one of the "few and far between" companies in business these days - service with Integrity.

I thought the estimate provided was unreasonably high based on my understanding of services to be performed and time involved. The inspector seemed put off when I questioned the reasonableness of the estimate, and was unable to provide any real justification regarding parts of the estimate or why they were so costly. Inspector was also unable to provide any explanation as to why the type of mold found in the crawl space should be considered dangerous enough that the proposed steps should be considered. For example, since I'm no expert on mold, nor would I claim to be, for all I know, 80% of homes in Eastern TN may have some mold in their crawl space. I have no idea. Maybe the type of mold found is extremely dangerous. Again, I have no idea. However, pointing at some areas of white powdery substance on wood beams in the crawl space saying "there's mold" and "there's mold" doesn't really give me enough justification as to why $10,500 should be spent to remove it and ensure it doesn't come back for 700 years. I asked the inspector several times how this type of mold differed other types of mold and especially from the more notorious and highly dangerous "black mold", to which he was unable to provide any explanation at all. From reading all of the reviews for Master Dry, I am confident that they do very good work. However, I was disappointed with the estimate, the lack of support for the estimate, and responses to different questions that I had, which largely remained unanswered. I also asked for the inspector to email me the quote so that I could do some research into mold on my own and continue to consider some of the less costly parts of the work that was proposed; however, a week has passed and there is no sign of the email with the quote. Overall, a disappointment.

The crew showed up and worked the entire time. My wife actually felt sorry for how hard they worked and made them lemonade. The first thing they did was go under my house and support the entire area with heavy duty jacks which took the pressure off of the exterior walls. Then they knocked down and disposed of the exterior walls and dug and poured new footers. They enclosed the work area with plastic and with a safety fence and came back two days later after the footers had cured and built a new block exterior wall. The jacks were taken out and that portion of the house was resting on a newly built solid wall.

New joists were added as additional support and as an extra they put two jacks under the front porch because it needed it. They cleaned up the site everyday and were very polite and professional.

They offered several options so that they could serve the budget we had to work with. They were diligent in their work and had quality results. We now no longer have mold smell in the living area and we have a way to monitor the crawlspace humidity so that we can notice changes and catch leaking incidents before they become a big problem.
