I will be objective and rate Tim's services as a C. He did A quality work for us last year. He's a good guy and a hard worker. He mentioned several times last year that he did more than just mow lawns, so before mowing season this year, I offered him some handyman work we needed done...~$1,200.00 worth. Heard back once and when it came time to schedule, crickets. Then I told him we'd love him to start mowing soon and he set up an appointment for Monday (1 APR). No text, no call, no show. He will do good work for you if he responds or shows up for appointments. That is guaranteed. I personally don't have the patience for unprofessionalism though.

Great! Immediate response to my hiring on Angie's List, clear and immediate communication throughout. Dustin came once to evaluate the job and then back a couple of days later to perform the work. All done punctually and completely with a smile. Couldn't be happier!

They do good work. Good quality people. SOmetimes I have to tell them to go back over it and do it again. They don't always have the same people that come out. The people that come out are all good.

    Merryman's Custom Lawns, Inc.
They are very responsive to requests and do a good job communicating. The lawn always looks great and they always work around special requests, like coming a certain day due to company or a party. They do a great job trimmimg the bushes, and cleaning up all the leaves, etc. from fall. We will continue to use them.

Mitch came out and gave a very reasonable quote. Was back the next morning to do the job. The trees were put in a chipper and all mess and debris was cleaned up before they left. Very happy with their service and will definitely recommend and use again.

    SMC
Our project started out promising, but quickly went from bad to worse. Bobby was great in the beginning in getting us a quote and discussing the project. He worked with us to refine our plan and was responsive and friendly throughout the negotiation process and while getting HOA approval. SMC was set to begin the project in early August 2015. After numerous delays they finally began the project weeks later. We were told the entire project would take 2-3 weeks. At the beginning of October (8 weeks later) the crew had still not finished the work. There were install issues with the original deck and paver pad. Bobby had to fire his first crew and redo most of the project. The second crew came out and instead of fixing all issues only bandaged the issues. Bobby always seemed very concerned in fixing the issues and would offer additional items such as a planter box to ease our concerns. In early October we left the country for a previously planned trip. The second crew had not yet finished, but we completed a preliminary walk-through on the job as they were expected to finish while we were gone. We cut a check, post-dated it, and gave it to Bobby. This was a big mistake on our part. SMC was supposed to come through for an official, final walk through upon our return, but because we cut the check, that never happened. We spent most of the winter trying to get ahold of Bobby and SMC to not avail. There were some issues with the final product and the paver pad began sinking as soon as it was completed. We finally got ahold of Bobby in late February / March, and in typical fashion, he was friendly and accommodating. A third crew did fix it and Bobby added a flower box around the outside at no additional cost, but then that crew left the project without it being complete. When I attempted to call the foreman and find out when they were returning I was told he was fired and to call Bobby. Once again, multiple attempts to reach Bobby were made, but no return calls were received. In June, I finally got back in touch with Bobby who had me work with one of his employees (fourth crew) on the remaining issues that were not resolved the first time around. I was able to work with the employee regarding the issues. He was very concerned about the install and the flaws. He told me he was embarrassed by the craftsmanship on the job and SMC would not want this shoddy work associated with their name. I was told multiple times that I was very important and that my issues were a top priority for SMC. We set a date (which was delayed multiple times) to begin the work and I was told to expect the project to take just a few days, but when the time came for the fourth crew to come out and fix the issues they was a no show. I called him and was told he was no longer with SMC. This was early October 2016. Again, multiple calls to Bobby and SMC were made to find out what happened. After a week of no response from SMC I finally got in touch with Bobby when I called from a different number. Bobby told me my warranty for the labor was out of date since it had been more than a year even though I had been working with SMC during that time to rectify the issues from the initial install. Bobby indicated to me that SMC will be going out of business in the very near future. He told me that his team now involves just him and one other crew member. He said there is nothing he can do for me and threatened me by mentioning all of the free work he did on my job. All we ever wanted was a quality project, we did not ask for these free items, they were added to the project by Bobby in an attempt to smooth things over. For nearly a year now I have considered writing a bad review about SMC, I have not because of Bobbys willingness to help and attitude during every interaction (even when it was challenging to get a response from him). It is frustrating that I am now being told that my project is no longer under warranty a lack of responsiveness from the contractor should not allow this. If SMC truly goes out of business, we will be unable to resolve the outstanding issues with this company. I am currently searching for a contractor to come and fix the install issues from SMC so I can have a properly finished deck.

Tim is still getting his business up and running, so he is a one-man show.  Doing the work in the heat of summer, I almost stopped this project just because of the heat.  Only area for follow up was a spot of grass that didn't take hold (about 12' circle.  But it looked great after he was done.

TERRIBLE!!  THE OVERALL PROCESS OF REMOVING THE TREES WAS EXTREMELY RECKLESS.  HE USED A CRANE TO PULL THE TREES OUT OF THE YARD AND THEY WERE DANGLING OVER ROOFTOPS.  DURING THE PROCESS, THE CRANE TRUCK CRACKED OUR DRIVEWAY.  THE OWNER IS REFUSING TO PAY TO HAVE IT FIXED AND HAS BEEN SO NASTY AND RUDE.  HE HUNG UP ON MY HUSBAND AND WILL NOT RESPOND.  I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL!  THEY ALSO GOT THE TREE THEY WERE REMOVING STUCK IN OUR NEW MAPLE TREE AND BROKE MANY, MANY BRANCHES.  THE CRANE TRUCK ALSO DAMAGED OUR NEIGHBOR'S SPRINKLER SYSTEM.  I REALIZE ACCIDENTS HAPPEN BUT HE HAS BEEN SO RUDE AND DIFFICULT TO DEAL WITH THROUGH IT ALL.

The entire experience was outstanding.  I received a call back the same afternoon when inquiring about an estimate for the work.  Cliff was able to come out within a day or so to meet with us.  He provided an approximate arrival time and called to inform me when he was on his way.  He was able to quickly provide options and a design, along with an estimate.  He gladly came out again to walk us through the design and answer a few questions.

Cliff kept us well informed of the progress leading up to the installation.  He gave estimated arrival times for the various visits and arrived as promised.  They even worked our job into the schedule, as we have family coming from out of state for a visit next week.

All the employees we dealt with were friendly and professional and explained the work they were going do.  They laid out the landscaping prior to planting and ensured we liked the placement.  Because the soil was pretty much clay, they added soil with conditioners and a layer of peat moss, along with mulch. The crew left us some extra material and took all the excess materials away.  They did a great job cleaning up.  The brick risers look awesome and we love the planter and landscaping!  We would definitely use Cliff and his crew for future hardscape/landscape projects.
