    I will begin by saying that I am a long term patient and have spent a lot of money at this practice; therefore deserve better treatment than was given. I have a medical condition that only allows me to be up and functioning for a limited amount of time per segment of the day. I have tried to make my appointments the first one after lunch, so as not to be put in the position of having to sit and wait to be seen. I still had to wait 30 minutes to see this doctor. And let me add that my husband once had a Saturday at this office and had to wait an hour to see this doctor- only to be told that he had movers at his house moving boxes. Back to my experience- this office has moved locations to their new and fancy office, which has very limited parking if you are lucky enough to get a place you've got literally 4 inches to get out of your car, unless you want to park in the big parking garage in the rear and walk- not an option for people with chronic pain. His staff is incredibly rude- I was told my lenses would be cut there in the office and take no longer than 45 minutes- well than turned out to be 1 hour and 30 minutes- no big deal when you are lying down in your backseat in 90+ degree weather with pain. I called to inquire when they would be ready after 1 hour and 10 minutes- nobody there could tell me when they would be ready- left me on hold for about 7 minutes, so I just hung up. Then after I start driving home and get halfway home they call " your glasses are ready". At this point, the wait was an hour and a half. I explained that I could not wait indefinitely for my glasses and no one could tell me when they would be ready so I had proceeded to drive home. At this point the technician begins ranting and screaming at me. I could NO believe the unprofessional behavior from this woman!!! I'm like, really you have got to be kidding me. So, I request all of my family's records be forwarded to another optometrist office. After 2 weeks of the records not being sent- I call again to request them, give them another 5 days, call again. Then Dr. Ballard himself gets on the phone and explains that since he has been " out of his office" for a week, that my records are not his " top priority ", and he will " sign off" on them to be faxed when he "gets around to it". You have got to be kidding me. The bottom line is that his practice has now grown too big to care about their patients. Oh, and by the way, there is huge markup on all his frames. So, if you are looking for an optometrist, I'd KEEP LOOKING.

    The service was outstanding and I'd definitely give them five stars. Dr Martin is very patient,
    highly knowledgeable, and has very good interpersonal skills.  In fact, my whole family goes to her for
    their eye care and love her, she is so warm and caring.  Dr Martin takes her time, and carefully
    listens to you as you explain your eye problems and concerns, then discusses it with you after the exam and patiently and thoroughly answers all your questions. The staff there are all patient and friendly, treat each patient
    with personalized care, and thoroughly perform all services with kindness and professionalism. They outlined the cost of everything upfront, which was very helpful. And they had a great selection of glasses for me to choose from at the end of my visit, and the staff up front were quick to help me try on and "model" until I found the prefect pair. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and I wouldn't go anywhere else.

    Dr. Pilkinton saved my eye, plain and simple. It had a dreadful infection, he saved the eye, performed a cornea transplant, and gave me vision out of that eye again. He has met me after hours, has done whatever he could for me. I owe him my eyesight. And, just as a friendly tip to everyone, never use a contact lens case as a way to take things like shampoo or hair gel on a trip. You migiht do what I did, which was then put my contact in that case without seeing the clear gel, then put that contact in your eye...

    I personally don't often come away from medical related appointments with any sort of feeling except relief, but my experience at Nolensville Family EyeCare was actually pretty fun. The staff is all friendly and pleasant, while also maintaining a very professional air. They also seem very knowledgeable and seem to use the latest technology. The doctor himself was warm and professional and seemed genuinely invested in finding the appropriate treatment for me. They outlined the cost of everything upfront, too, which was very helpful. And they had a great selection of glasses for me to choose from at the end of my visit, which the girls up front were quick to help me try on and and quot;modeland quot; until I found the prefect pair. As I said it was all in all rather a fun visit. I would absolutely recommend them.

    I believe that I received very professional service from start to finish. The pair of glasses that I purchased was a bit more expensive that I am used to, and there was a more limited selection of frames available, but what I was looking for was more about the quality of the exam and professional explanation of what is going on for me. I trust that Dr Hayes wouldn't hesitate to refer me to a specialist or Ophthalmologist if necessary. The glasses technician also did a good job despite the limited frames selection for men.

    Dr. Koester is fabulous. She takes her time with the eye exam and is gentle and patient. I have moved out of the area but plan on returning annually to continue to see her.
