    Aaron showed up and replaced our upstairs leaky toilet ridiculously fast, and was courteous, awesome, and affordable. He was also able to remedy a leaky faucet that he was asked about while on premises. We will do more business with him in the future.

    Aaron's terrific���called ahead, arrived on time (a little early, actually), explained what he was doing, and also recommended what we could do personally to help maintain the WH. He also laid out future options, given the new building codes, the increased safety, responsiveness, and cost-efficiency of switching to tankless, He also says he shoots "in the 80s" on the golf course, but I can't verify that until we actually schedule a round together. :-)

    Everything went well, company was easy to contact. Jessica was friendly and professional setting up the appointment. Greg arrived when expected. He was also very professional, and gave me an honest assessment on repairing the water heater. I decided to replace the 12 year old unit rather than repair it. He did the work the same day.     Our water heater went out. Southern Solutions was OUTSTANDING in replacing it the same day! Service Rep, Jessica was VERY professional and personable in helping coordinate immediate service by Greg who did a quick and quality job replacing our old water heater. Company owner, Hank Bowers, called me personally and was extremely knowledgeable in helping me make the best replacement solution. Would highly recommend to family and friends!

    Ben arrived on time and accessed the problem. He was courteous and professional. He provided a quote which also included repairing a leak under the main bathtub. He needed a 2nd person which is when Brett arrived. They both worked diligently and never once complained even though the the crawl space under the house is only 2ft. They spent 8 hours here and completed the work. We would call Benjamin Franklin again with no hesitation for all our plumbing needs!!

    In summary, a nightmare. My first experience filing a claim (garbage disposal) was smooth and as expected. Subsequently I had a rash of home issues. Including water leak, clothes dryer and HVAC. The first horrific experience was with the plumbing. The ���technician��� sent was incompetent, unskilled and as I later learned not licensed as a plumber. Yet Choices relies on his assessment that a leaking copper pipe was due to corrosion. A licensed plumber that corrected his mistakes later said it was a result of wear caused by the pipe rubbing a hoist. Yet, Choices denied my claim and I paid the incompetent technician $230 for an emergency patch. There was no mechanism for challenging the denial without allowing further home damage. A third claim, clothes dryer resulted in my waiting within a 5 hour window on for the technician to call afterward to reschedule after I had taken off work. Then, he offered to bypass the assessment and just order the parts if I���d pay him the $45 service charge soas to accommodate my inability to take off multiple days of work to meet him. He also complained that he wouldn���t purchase parts until he had been paid because Choices was terrible about paying the technicians for parts and service. The last claim, HVAC has resulted in 2 no shows by the technician. I requested a different provider after the first but client service asked that I give them a second chance. Ultimately the company lost track of their technician because he would answer the company���s office call to him. We now painfully await a second company that Choices has scheduled. I���ve had a number of friends ask me about my experience as they are buying homes. I share a Consumer Reports article on Choices with them and tell them to RUN!

    Had a toilet leaking at what we thought was the seal. Rather than testing, he took my diagnosis and replaced the seal. That didn't work so he had to come back out. Turned out to be the hoses and tank seal.

    Ed replaced screens on our back porch. Some of the screens were wider than standard and other handyman told us they weren't available. Ed found them and replaced them for us. He also repaired drywall in the ceiling where we had damage from a leak. In fact, I thought I had the leak fixed but, thankfully, he checked before closing up the ceiling and saw that I still had a leak. He fixed that and then proceeded with the ceiling repair. Luckily he had what he needed in his truck to fix the leak as a plumbing issue was not on the list that day. The drywall patch looks great! The final thing we had him do was replace the pedestrian door on the garage. We had a lot of rot around the door frame at the bottom and the easiest and just as cost effective way to fix it was to replace the door. The door looks great and functions perfectly. I'll recommend Ed to anyone. He was punctual, replied quickly to texts/phone calls/emails and does great work. I have no doubt I'll be calling him again.
