When I priced it out it wasn't bad. They got it done in a day. Then they cut it and bag it up. They were very good about cleaning up. Making sure that they didn't get that stuff all over the house or all over the yard. They were marvelous. They came on time they did the job. They came immediately.

It was excellent. They were the epitome of good business practices. As a matter of fact, I have talked with the owner. They have excellent service and excellent price; quality customer service and quality price. They did some extra things. After the work was completed, the owner came out and inspected it himself within the hour.

I gave Jeff a "B" on price only because he was the most expensive of the 3 bids we got.  That being said, the reason we went with him was the detail in his quote.  The other two companies were very generic in their approach and their quote, while Jeff went through the details with us, explaining what they would do and why.  I was correct in my assumption that he would continue the attention to detail in his work.
    Nice job, Jeff & crew!

From the beginning, there were difficulties with getting a correct contract and drawing.  The most significant things that occurred during the project is that the contractors opened the old roof without having the new roof immediately attached and/or without appropriately covering with a tarp.  I expressed my concerns in several emails and text messages without a reply.  During the delay in attaching and covering the roofs, a bad storm caused significant damage within our existing living room and kitchen.  While they fixed the damage, we lived with a dehumidifier and fans for three weeks.  They allowed the brick masons to drop bricks on the new concrete floor, creating holes and areas that they could not fix.  They made a small allowance for the price, but we will have to tile the floor to make it look right.  They could not get the chimney to stop leaking so they sealed it and this changed the color of the brick.  They miscalculated the fireplace construction and we either had to accept siding or have the brick be offset from the rest of the addition.  While they were framing the addition, they overloaded the circuits and we didn't have air-conditioning for 24 hours.  As soon as we noticed, we started contacting the contractors, but they did not respond until the next day.  One of their subcontractors decided at 6 AM one Saturday morning to pull the six foot wood fence apart rather than ring the doorbell and ask for access.  We had to have the fence repaired.  The finish work was not good.  After they installed the sliding doors, they damaged the door handles and had to replace them.  They left many openings and we had to remind them to caulk between the brick and the siding.  They cleaned the firebricks and stained them.  They always said they would fix whatever went wrong, but there were so many things that went wrong, the contractors started complaining about the budget, and in the end, they just wanted to reduce the price and walk away.  It wasn't until the very end that they apologized for all the bad things that happened.  The communications were lacking to the point that choices were made without us, however, we would question and they would tell us.  But it often seemed that they were building the addition for their preferences, and not ours.  And that their subs and workers paid no attention to detail or to the care of our property. They never routinely cleaned up so I frequently cleaned the job site or emailed them to pick up the debris or leftover materials.

They were very professional, friendly and pleasant to deal with.  Worked around our schedule and even worked very quietly in the attic since we had babies napping.  In the attic he found that the insulation was adequate and the duct was fine but did let us know a couple things we can do to help keep it cooler upstairs in the summer.

He inspected our crawlspace and found a couple things that need to be addressed for sure.  I was glad I did this since our original home inspector didn't go into the crawlspace when we were looking at the home to purchase.   He gave us a quote on the few things they found that needed to be addressed.  Took pictures and explained what the problems were or could lead to.  He also showed me a couple of the things that that would fairly easy for me to fix myself and told me the best way to do it.  I really appreciated that.

A couple days later we got the email with the pictures and quote to do the work.

I will recommend them to others and definitely use them again.

We are of the opinion, the work required for this project was beyond the experience and expertise of this company. We have had to fix most of what they did.

They did an excellent job.  Had our house on the market to sell so we only needed some additional insulation.  We moved out of state otherwise I would use them again.
