    Bull Dog Home Improvement
The project was well planned and the screened deck is great. The project manager, Chris explained each step and the time table. We were very impressed with the finished project, the professionalism. Also Bulldog Home Improvement was punctual and kept us informed throughout the whole project. We would hire Bulldog Home Improvement again and highly recommend them.

Paid for work in June. They changed name and never contacted me. I finally tracked them done with background check software. Said they had bought everything and job was ready to go. Workers showed up and said there were no materials. He ordered materials, but was short, had to wait another month. Stopped in September after season was done and had another company finish the job.

We did not receive what was in our written contract for our $30,000 porch. The salesman said AMD did not have to build what he sold us and installed as it would not meet code. The installers not only damaged the new materials, but our existing house trim and roof. It leaks in every major rain. The stone floor trim is permanently stained from the roof leaks. We were told it would take a few week which turned into months. The salesman told us they could finish the job anytime AMD wanted to as they did not have to meet any conditions of the contract. I escalated the problems to the top and I was told for week after week that the owner was aware of it all. Then AMD demanded complete final payment for this nightmare! They have ruined our dream home.

Wonderfull company, Rick was responsive, immediately returned our calls, came when he said he would, did what we asked him to do and went above and beyond and even painted the facial boards for the roof before he installed them. He and his helper Zack, were a real pleasure to talk to, they were neat, and removed all constuction debris. If you need any wood work done, this company should be your first choice.

The initial visit I was unable to be present for so I advised it would be fine to come out and pressure wash the home while I was at work. The initial phone call was good and George seemed to be easy to deal with.
The day I returned home It was a bit dark but I was able to look around the house and notice my from door still was covered in dirt, the porch overhang still had cobwebs and dirt along the ceiling line.
I contacted George the next day simply assuming this was a oversight by a employee and asked if he was present, which he stated he was. George said "I must have just missed it". I awaited for another visit to have this completed but in the meantime was looking around the house the following day and noticed discoloration in my siding in multiple locations that seemed to be in a sweeping pattern which led me to believe it was from the pressure washer. (please note I'm no expert) I contacted George again and asked if any damage was caused as it looked like areas had been painted over to cover up damage. George informed me "it must have been there before and the washing just exposed it". I'm not sure how any of that happened and of course no way to prove this occurred from the visit as I was not there.
Upon George's second visit to correct the missing areas I asked if the porch had been pressure washed as this was something he had told me would be done on the first visit which at the time I was very happy about as I am trying to prepare my home for sale. He stated it had but some stains he could not get out and also stated that the back patio and driveway could use the work. He advised he could do it for a additional fee which I was dumb enough to agree to. He stated spots were from battery acid, clay etc. I have never had a battery leak on my driveway or porch and i do not have red clay in the area. Seeing as I am from Georgia I am very familiar with red clay.
I sent a text to George today with photos of the difference between the color of my porch and driveway.... which are connected 1 being white and the other being brown and asked if he had done the porch. George informed me he had but could not get it clean as it would take a "special restoration technique". In other words... I'll need more money. I asked where the Red clay would have come from and why the porch was brown. His response "I don't know where it came from, could be rust or acid I'm no geologist or scientist so I can't say for sure maybe someone walked on it after I cleaned it". Needless to say that this point I felt that he was just being rude so I ended the conversation there.
In closing..... Buy your own pressure washer, hand clean and or do whatever is necessary but I would not recommend this company. I feel I was patient and willing to wait for the completion of the job but this was simply unacceptable and to be rude to end it off it just unnecessary. If he could not do the job or was unwilling to upfront honesty would have been preferred. I am not difficult to deal with by any means this service was just bad!

    Lee Company

The technical representative (Vladimir) was friendly, courteous and very competent. However, the initial charge was about $900. When we called the office we were told we had been overcharged by about $300. We got the impression that Lee would charge a higher number unless the customer objected or negotiated a lower charge as we did. The surge protector with installation was about $300 which leaves $300 for the other items. We consider this somewhat on the high side.

Although our experience with Vladimir was pleasant he left no paperwork. We had to call the office to have a manual mailed out and an invoice sent by e-mail. Prior to this service we had Lee did on some of the jobs and found their bids to be high. Although we graded the overall experience at C, we would caution anyone to be wary of Lee's pricing policy.

    Lee Company
Aaron Peters with Lee Company, along with his assistant, arrived at our home at 8:00 am. They were very punctual and quite professional.
Prior to the date of installation, Aaron and I discussed extensively during his initial visit what all the project would entail for pricing the work to be done. He explained, in detail, what were my options. In talking with him I could see that he is truly an expert. After the project was completed, my impression of him and Lee Company was confirmed.... ALL positive!!
Aaron and his helper installed 7 exterior motion sensor security flood light fixtures and 1 front porch motion sensor fixture. The 7 perimeter motion sensor light fixtures were, in fact, "custom" assembled on-site using the best components, mainly, the motion sensors. He adjusted each perimeter light for the best coverage and adjusted the "delay" time for when the lights would shut-off after activation. The lights were installed so that the lights would function independently, according to the movement of an object, which could activate one or more lights.
My wife and I are 100% pleased with the work. Our security "light system" has been working perfect since the installation. The lLED light fixtures each have two bulbs.  (Each bulb is a "module.") Each of the modules are 18 Watt LED bulbs which put out a very bright light equal to about a 90 Watt Halogen bulb. This will save us a lot on energy use yet, provide plenty of security lighting.
Our security 'light system' is also flexible so that we can turn on the lights to stay on until we manually shut off the lights, such as during outdoor entertainment.
The price for the project was slightly higher than the best quote we received from other companies that bidded on the project. However, the "quality" of the fixtures and Aaron's attention to detail made it all well worth the "investment." This project exemplifies
that......  "You get what you pay for."

We met with the contractor and determined that we liked them. They were punctual in the appointment etc. They gave us suggestions, took measurements, gave us approximate times when they could do the work. They were professional and through in explaining what would be involved and how the project would go. They were always on time project took the time we were told. They cleaned up all the and quot;messand quot; and did a fantastic job. Yes, I would definitely hire again and will when we do some remodeling! Wish all companies had this quality service!

We took several estimates for the job, and did not go with the cheapest. But these guys seemed to know what they were doing. I felt more comfortable with the sales guy than the others. They also had agreed to a price for staining/painting to follow the installation. Overall, I was disappointed with everything after the design and estimate phase.
They stalled on the installation, citing weather and larger projects as the cause. They had explained a staged installation to us, but were actually able to complete the initial installation in a two day process.
The quality of the wood was mediocre at best. I called them instantly to have two posts sanded and one replaced. The wood had cracks and splits that made them break at the contact points instantly. They were not removed until I asked, however.
They also left a large pile of trash and discard that was not removed until I called and complained twice about the trash being there.
We called a few weeks later after the and quot;seasoningand quot; phase happened to proceed with the staining, and they would not honor the rates we had discussed. We ended up doing the staining and painting ourselves. (I highly recommend the guys at Mayo's Paint Store and the Benjamin Moore deck stains. Super helpful, and the stain is wonderful.)
The deck has sense warped even further. The quality of the wood has led to splintering and leaning. One whole railing leans away from the deck. It is not to the point of unsafe yet, but the railing will have to be replaced in the next summer for sure. I have called several times and have not received anything more than the option to have it re-quoted.
