    Not as expected. I desired to cancel the appointment for this weekend and I had some problems doing that. The company called me back saying that I left $108 on the table and I had to go through three individuals to get my fund back.

    The price seemed a bit high, but my limited experience with their service is good (hard to tell without a break-in). The personalized way they boxed up the components for me to install was really great and the alarm components are easy to install, with the exception of the front doorbell camera. I had to call customer service because it was not possible for me to activate it (something has to be changed on the customer account level to be able to see the video from the camera). Overall a good experience though.

    The tech that came out was apologetic but the road up to his visit was very unsettling.  One of our door sensors fell out of door frame on 09/25/2014.  Vivint  said a tech was not available until 10/02.  (So 8 days without properly working system)  They could mail us a sensor and we could install it.  It would reach us before tech availability so we agreed.  The sensor was not mailed until 09/30---five days later---and arrived on 10/07.  Now we have been without a properly working system for 13 days--which we continue paying for.  The sensor was not the kind we have installed.  I am told a tech would not be available until 10/30.  So 36 days they want us to go without a properly working system even though we continue paying for it.  I said this was not acceptable so they decided a tech was available on 10/16---Still 21 days.  When the tech arrived, he had to install Vivint's sensor as they do not warranty the ones we had.  Of course we had to pay for them.  We feel these should have been installed when their system was installed as they knew it was not a fully warranted system.
    One of their emails from customer rep said  "Enjoy the rest of your system"  What kind of system do you have if the doors are not protected?
    I mailed a letter directly to Todd Pedersen  CEO of Vivint and it arrived at his office on 04/24/2045.  We have received no response whatsoever.  People would do well to stay away from this company.

    Michael Christiana first looked into repairing current system, but after we discussed it I decided it would be better to replace it because of all the problems I had with the old system.  I think his price was very reasonable considering the scope of protection and amount of devices on our system.  Mike is very professional and respected my home as his own.  The wiring panel was a mess before he came, but when he was through, he left every thing in good order.  I will be recommending him in the future to anyone I know with a security system or who wants a security system.
