A section of my yard had sunken in and as a result, a portion of the driveway had broken. Tom and his crew did a remarkable job of repairing the drive and actually filled in the yard at only the cost of the fill dirt. The overall workmanship was something you don't see much in this day. Just an incredible job.

    Goddard Construction Co LLC
We were so happy with our experience that we are building my parents home with Goddard Construction as well. We never worried about things getting done. Goddard was fast, friendly, and HONEST. We never thought twice about the direction of their advice. The staff is ALWAYS eager to help and the company as a whole care about the satisfaction of the customer. My co-workers took notice that I never had a negative thing to say about Goddard Construction throughout the whole process. I will forever use Goddard Construction, I feel as though their family became a part of ours. Thank you Goddard Construction for my beautiful home!!

    Sunshine Pools and Patios
Jim and his guys were awesome. He's a busy guy, but he came when he said he would. They did a beautiful job of expanding my slab into a patio and building concrete steps down into my backyard. They also built a concrete sidewalk around side and back of my house. It looks amazing! They even power-washed the old slab and everything else down and raked out all the soil so that it would look great! AND the price was great! They are fantastic!

    Goddard Construction Co LLC
Goddard was very professional from the beginning to the end of the project.  I had already used them for a small kitchen remodel and found their work excellent.  They provided a very thorough estimate of the entire framing process which was quite extensive.  The job required a structural engineer since several support beams needed to be removed.  The estimate was much higher than I expected, however, I decided to go ahead and use them because of my past experience with them.  I knew this type of job required someone who knew what they were doing, and not necessarily be the lowest bid.  Goddard started the project on time.  They provided their own portable toilet so workers did not have to use mine.  Paul (the general contractor) was always available to answer my questions and make minor changes as I requested.  The workers were always professional and cleaned up after themselves.  Paul kept me apprised of the project timeline throughout by providing a website where he would tell me when each stage was completed.  All inspections were completed and passed.  Everyone who sees the work comment on how well done the framing is.  The only problem I had was that one small corner of the basement floor was not raised but was cemented against the foundation.  I was initially told that this would not be a problem and the basement would be dry.  However, after several rains, I noticed that ground water was getting in to the basement in that corner.  I had to get another company to dig through the cement and install a sump pump.  Goddard worked with them to make sure the work was done correctly, including installing a dedicated electrical circuit for the sump pump.

Overall I have been very pleased with Goddard's work.  I still need to have the space insulated, drywalled and finished.  I am in the process of getting bids for this and will also consider Goddard to finish the space.

    Pro Lift Systems Inc
I requested bids from three Foundation Repair providers, all highly rated on Angie?s List.  All three companies? reps agreed that the cracked bricks on two adjacent, exterior walls of my home were the result of a cracked and/or sinking footer at that corner.
All three recommended relatively similar work to remedy the problem.  However, the other two companies submitted bids that were nearly double Pro-Lift Systems? bid.  Even though I half-expected that based on other reviews I?d read on the List, I struggled to understand how Johnny (the owner of Pro-Lift, who does initial visits and bids himself) could bid so much lower and still deliver quality work and the results I needed.  (Bottom line, he believed I needed fewer pilings than the other companies were trying to sell me?and I believe he has the experience and knowledge to back up that claim?and he doesn?t have a sales staff or some of the other overhead of his competitors.)
Johnny was right on time for our initial appointment.  He quickly determined what was happening to my foundation, and what needed to be done.  He was very thorough in telling me what to expect if they did the work, as well as what _not_ to expect (in particular, that the cracks in the bricks and mortar probably wouldn?t close when they lifted the footer).  I appreciated his honesty.  He answered my numerous questions while he was here that day, and was equally helpful when I peppered him with more questions in the days to follow.  He really knows his business, and he put me at ease that hiring Pro-Lift Systems was the right choice.
The contract was straightforward and included the exact price of the job, which was precisely what I ended up paying.  No surprises.
When we scheduled my job for a Thursday and Friday, Johnny told me that it might (at no additional cost to me) run into Saturday.  That ended up being the case, and I had no issue with that; in fact, I appreciate that they did the job right and didn?t rush just to get done in two days.
Pro-Lift?s crews worked their tails off, even when the heat index was north of 100 degrees.  They have years of experience, and they?re really good at what they do.  They?re also really easy-going.  I had several conversations with Travis (crew foreman and Johnny?s brother) about the work they were doing for me, and he was always open to my input and my questions.
After lifting the foundation, they ground out the cracked mortar & tuck-pointed the bricks.  They were careful to match the color of my existing mortar.  They also installed and buried extensions on my downspouts to transport roof runoff out into my yard.  And, in the initial meeting, Johnny volunteered that they would properly bury a French drain that was incorrectly installed in the lift area by the previous owners of my home.  (In the end, Travis actually brought in a longer French drain to do the job right?at no extra cost to me.  Wow.)
At my request, Johnny willingly added, for a very reasonable fee, additional downspout extensions on other parts of my house.  I feel much better knowing that my downspout outflow isn?t going to be causing any more damage to my foundation.
Pro-Lift guarantees the pilings they installed for the life of my house, and I appreciate that security.  And with all the ?little extras? they did for me, I believe I got my money?s worth and then some.

    Concrete Express
When I found this business on Angie's List and saw all the A ratings, I called right away. Ted came out and looked over what we wanted, talked with my husband about some details concerning the job and left his brochure with us. Ted called us that same evening with a quote and the price was right. My husband has been in the construction (building) business all of his life, he started out working with block and brick layers and went on to build homes, and additions, he built the 3 rental cabins on our farm. He is quite the perfectionist, and he scrutinizes closely, anyone who comes to bid work for us. We set the date for the job, and they came out the following Monday. Ted, his son; Casey, and David (who works with them) were the most professional, personable and conscientious people we've had work on our place in the past 20 years. The work was done on time, with special attention to detail. These guys always had a smile on their faces (despite the gloomy weather). They never seemed to be in a rush, always taking their time to see that the walkway was exactly like we wanted it. We were totally impressed with the work and the final results of this beautiful walkway! We were so pleased with this job and we would not hesitate to use these professionals again!

Came out in one to two days after initial phone call. Wanted aggregate driveway widened and install new back patio. I wasn't sure what material to make the patio. I was interested in a stamped patio. He had nice portfolio and brochures of patterns and colors. He have me a price for the driveway with and without doing the patio job. Everything seemed to go smooth at first until it was odifficult to reach him. When I did call or text, it would take a couple of days for a reply. He led me to believe that he could start on this project fairly quickly. Even with weather conditions, I felt lost about what his plans were. Finally, I didn't hear from him for about a week or more and he told me that he had BEEN out of town. This was around Christmas. I don't really care where he goes, but it would be courtesy to tell me before he left that he would be gone instead of leaving me hanging. Then he told me that his original quote would need to be higher because he forgot to include the disposal of the dirt that would have to be moved after grading the driveway area!   After all the frustration, I called AAA Concrete and they got the job done less expensively.
