    Hayes Maintenance & Home Improvement
I am completely thrilled with Mr. Hayes... he was punctual, efficient, and provided excellent repairs and advice. I will be calling him back for my 'Honey Do' List in the future. My repairs were not an emergency and I had to wait for a few weeks for Mr Hayes availability. He was more than worth the wait! His is honest, caring, attentive and kind. I have never had a contractor move faster than I do...

We purchased a home with a 203K loan and did a complete remodel of the house from top to bottom. Matt and his crew were professional, on-time, on-budget and did great work. Matt went out of his way to help us with some unexpected things that popped up during the remodel and we couldn't be happier with the end product. Matt also has a great eye for style and function when we needed someone to help us brainstorm/plan.. We would happily recommend Matt to anyone and will use him in the future for any of our projects!

    Do It Wright Home Improvements
I asked this provider to bid on a complicated group of jobs to solve several problems in a beat-down apartment building I had just bought. After several days, he responded that he didn't want to bid on the job, and that my strategy for fixing the problems in my building was wrong and wouldn't work, and what he thought I should do instead. This was over-the-top insulting and unnecessary. He didn't do the work but I'll remember his name for a long time, and not in a good way.

It went very well. The work exceeded my expectations. They had quoted a price on the one repair and did more than anticipated but stayed within the estimate. I would use them again and recommend them highly!

    The Premier Handyman
Handymen were very prompt and courteous.  Did good work.  We were very happy with the look of our new bathroom floors. They were easy to work with, showed up when they said they would.  Reasonably priced.  We would definitely use The Premier Handyman again.

    Knoxville Decking Crew
We cannot say enough good things about the Knoxville Decking Crew.  The deck on the house we purchased had structural issues that needed to be repaired.  We contacted several contractors and were dismayed at the response.  We had one who
even asked us ?What do you think I should do to fix the issue?? Needless to say we didn?t hire that contractor.  I re-joined
Angie?s List and found the Knoxville Decking Crew.  The owner, Robert Baker, was quick to schedule a time to come out and give us an estimate.  He was punctual and assessed the structural problems even before we told him what was wrong.  He took his time to thoroughly assess the deck and screened in porch and gave us a detailed explanation of what needed to be repaired and why.  The project took a little over a week to complete.  The crew always showed up on time and worked all day.  Site lead, Nick, did an expert job of managing the crew and made timely and accurate construction decisions to ensure the new deck met our requirements and fit in the unique design of our circumstances.  The members of the crew were very professional and experienced and have an impressive work ethic.  They work well together.  We are extremely pleased with our new deck and structural repairs to the porch.  The deck is strong, sturdy and well build. They also go the extra mile to ensure you are happy and satisfied with their work.  I have already highly recommended them to family and friends.

    Hood's Home Services
    Where to start...
Honestly, the initial contact went very well.  They were quick to return my call, discussed the scope of the work with me and the estimated time frame and cost of the work.  I initially went with Hood's due to a $207 for 4 hours of work special with the given expectation that the job could take roughly 4-6 hours including the cost of purchased material.  Seemed very reasonable.
3 weeks later, four visits to my house, each one lasting roughly four hours and the work is still not completed on my child's nursery and will not be able to be completed until after my child is born, which means we will need to have handyman work going on while dealing with a newborn.  The first visit was later than the promised time, the next two visits had to be moved days because they continually had scheduling issues or forgot they had other jobs.  The last visit (today 7/10/15) was almost cancelled until I explained that we need to have this nursery ready by Monday (7/13/15) which was an express requirement of giving them the job.  The handyman came out and left after 4 hours claiming everything was completed.
I inspected the room and there are several areas where the beadboard is already coming off the wall, where it was never probably glued or nailed, many nails are missing caulking, the entire 80 ft of accent chair rail that I purchased is still sitting in the floor despite being told that this was part of the job. In short I'll provide the following summary:
4-6 hours have turned into 15+ with the job not completed
1 visit turned into 4 with more needed
An expected $400 will now turn into over $1000 using their hourly rates
I was told the material would be purchased for me, instead I purchased and transported 90% of the needed material (with the exception of the beadboard and one piece of moulding)
Overall this was a very very poor experience, and one that I will only repeat out of necessity to complete the job so my daughter has a place to sleep. I expect Hood's to see this review and maybe do something about the level of service I have received.

    Southern Porch Designa
This is the second time I have used this company. Two years ago, they built a large gazebo and did an excellent job. After that, when I needed to have 20 diseased Leyland Cypress trees removed and replaced with a large privacy fence and pergola, I called upon them again. The owners, Scott and Isaac gave a very reasonable estimate for the tree removal and fence construction and started  work a few days later. I was lucky since they were in the middle of building a custom home, but were delayed due to construction materials not being available, so they could get to me right away. I can't say enough about the quality of work, work ethic and design sense. Their workers were efficient and pleasant to work with. They listened to what we wanted in terms of design and quality of construction and added their own excellent ideas. Five days later, they were done and the construction site was all cleaned.
I would and will use them again in a heartbeat. And I highly recommend them for many construction projects from fences to homes and everything in between.
