    MOSS BROS BUILDERS
We used the Mosses in 2002 to build a mountain home. They did an excellent job and the price was on par with the estimate. We had them come back several times to do additional projects, such as stone work and crown molding. They are reliable and they do what they promise. We were always treated with respect by every member of this company. I recommend them highly.

The prompt, friendly, and professional service provided by Woodruff represented the first time in years that I felt good about work done on my home. My three season room is no longer leaking, and I have a new door that keeps the cold out. I will use Woodruff again (and again), and I very highly recommend them. They came to Maryville - so they are regional in scope. When they say the will be at your home on Tuesday at 4:00 - you can bank on it - and that is amazing in this day and age.

So far it has been wonderful. They are coming out special while I will be on a road trip since I have a medical condition and have to be out of the house. It is a husband wife team and they are very accommodating. I can not say enough good about them. Their work ethic and personalities are right on track. He even came out to measure on July 4th. I am really honored that they are going to do the work while I am going to be gone. He is a builder, not a salesman. He was very knowledgeable. They have been out 3 times and did not want any money yet.  They take a 1/3rd up front to buy supplies, half way through take the second third, and then the last part upon satisfaction of completion. I have e-mailed them back and froth and they are very good about responding and communication. They are right on time. They call ten minutes before to let me know.

    A&M Building & Contracting Inc
Roof needed replacing after storm damage. They were prompt to cover the roof with a tarp. The insurance company and the contractor inspected the roof and the insurance company decided to replace the entire roof. The adjuster called me and told me what the check would be I called the contractor and he brought out a contract to sign. The contract was over $2000 more than the insurance company said they were quoted. I was assured that the contract amount was what was approved by the insurance company agreed on. They were quick to start the job and told that it would take 3 or 4 days. We went out of town while the roof was being put on the house. When we came home the job was done. We were assured the property would be cleared of all nails and trash. The contractor came out to get the insurance check. One of my grandkids pointed to a plastic bag next to the garage and told us it contained feces. One of the roofers toke a bucket my wife left outside the garage, placed a bag in it and went out into the woods adjoining the back yard of my property to do his "job" tied the bag and threw the bag next to my house. My wife called the contractor to have the roofers come out pick up the bag and get us a new bucket. We took a magnet aroundf the house and retrieved well over 300 nails. We had to pull roofing waist out of our pool and all over the yard. I then got a bill for over $2000 over what the insurance payed in total. Called the insurance company and was assured they would take care of the problem. Everything seemed to be OK for a few weeks then water stains appeared on the master bedroom ceiling. I called the contractor to have him take a look. He went up in the attic and could not see where it was leaking. He tried to blame it on the attic barrier I had put in months before, holding in moisture and staining the ceiling. I asked why only the bedroom had a stain and he could not answer the question. He said he would contact the insurance company and they should take care of the repair. Why would the insurance company cover a leak from his work. The insurance company sent me a check to cover the painting. I told them to send the check in my name only so I could get my trusted painter instead of the contractors choice. Once again everything seemed to be OK. We pulled the carpet in the bedroom and closet to put hardwood down and in the corner of the closet the floor was wet. We went into the attic and found the leak. This time we placed a bucket under the leak in the attic and took pictures of the underside of the roof. We also took spray paint and painted a circle around the wet spot. The contractor sent his roofing boss out to take a look. He found the problem and the next day they came out to fix the 4 foot strip that caused the leak. Now the ceiling in the bedroom is staining again. Called the contractor to come and take a look and he said he would be out the following week, that was 3 weeks ago. Will this never end. If he finally comes out and agrees the ceiling needs to be painted again he will pay my guy not his to do the job. I have a feeling I will never see him again..... Beware

    Clendenin Lockwood Construction & Remodeling
Crown molding, new hardwood floors, new plumbing for DW and Fridge, all new electrical panel, new laundry room and all new electrical outlets. Planning on using them for new decks, garage and remodeled kitchen. We are very satisfied with this work. Oh did I forget? They did all this work without us being there! We just left them a key and they took care of everything, even brought in the mail.
