How to Make Kitchen Appliances Last Longer

Appliance Repair reviews in Maryville

Ron not only came out within 24 hours when my Bosch dishwasher needed repair, he arrived within the window his company gave me, on a Saturday, did excellent diagnostic work, knew his stuff, completed the job, and I could pay attention again to other concerns of getting my house on the market, packing and moving. What a relief. I also liked dealing with the owner of a company -- you know they care most about customer service.

    1 Call Service
This company was sent by my warranty company. I paid the service fee, which they didn't and won't report and I'm being harassed by my warranty company to pay the fee. They didn't repair the oven and when they stated they would come out, they waited until after 30 days, so I had to make another claim. The repair man said he would waive my fee, since I had called him, but I'm being harassed by my warranty company for the 2nd visit as well. When I called to get help, the receptionist hung up on me and refused to inform the warranty company that I had paid for the first visit, even though I had a cleared check. On a professional note, the repair man lied to me, didn't repair the oven, didn't call me for two weeks, and I was hung up on by the receptionist. Beware this company!

    Thompson Appliance Service
David Thompson came to the house and diagnosed the problems. While he was here he checked the availability of the replacement parts and found that because of the age of the appliances the parts were not in inventory with his suppliers. He placed the order for the parts and told us what the parts cost would be. It took a few days for the supplier to obtain the repair parts and get them to David. He called and made an appointment for that very afternoon and he arrived on time with the correct repair parts. The oven control panel had been greatly modified from the original as far as the wire connections on the back of the panel. Even with the instructions from GE it wasn't very straight forward and so took a little longer to install than David had figured. The water line control valve assembly was much more straight forward and installed with very little effort after the refrigerator was once pulled out away from the wall. While David was back there he asked for some dampened paper towels and proceeded to clean up the floor where the refrigerator had been setting for at least ten years. He didn't have to do that and we greatly appreciated his effort. Even with the delay he was finished in less than an hour and both appliances are functioning as good as new. We are located about twenty miles from his place of business and he made two trips. The service call and the labor for both appliances was $129.85, parts $328.80 and state tax was $44.72. Will continue to rely on David Thompson 865-982-1471 for all our future appliance repair needs.

He fixed it with parts he had but it quickly broke again. The second time he ordered the correct parts and did not charge for the labor. My only complaint was that he should have ordered the parts the first time.

Borden's responded very quickly and professionally--arrived well within the designated window within approx 24 hours; service call plus a total of approx 20 minutes of repair work resulted in immediate diagnosis and a very reasonable $92.00 bill (I didn't think anyone made a house call for less than $100 for them to simply enter your house, much less make any repairs). I definitely recommend Borden's for large appliance repair, either for us again or for a friend.

Outstanding! Barry is a pro. He showed up when he said and performed the work as scheduled. He was neat and is price was reasonable. Barry will be the only person I call for appliance repair in the future.

    Sears Appliance Repair
Not well. The tech said the interior had to be replaced. We were OK with that and had him order the replacement part. After a few weeks, we were notified by Sears that the parts were no longer available, even though the tech had assured us they were. We wasted time and money. Just another example of the poor service Sears now provides. They sure have become a third rate company!

Goodman's was called to fix ice maker. Tech came on10/14/15 to replace power module. He said that would fix it. Charged 233.59. Since that didn't fix it , we called company again that evening and the next day. The tech finally came out. He says we would need to replace the ice maker part. Another 65.85 for part. He did the work. Several hours later ice maker still did not work.

We called company again to talk to Donna. She said tech is out of town 4 days. We complained we had spent approx. 300.00 and still no ice maker. She stated she didn't know that ice was that important! We have waited 4 days, called company again. Donna says they may come on Wednesday 21st. I do not trust Goodman's to work on an appliance for me ever again.

Real Time Appliance Repairs and Parts LLC
They asked for model # before they even came out to my house to make sure their truck was loaded with as many parts as possible. I asked them to park in the back of the house to accommodate me and they obliged. Thomas tested the dryer, found the problem, fixed the problem and told me how to get more efficiency out of my dryer if I wanted to repair a certain part in the future. He left me the information I would need to order a replacement part as well as how much I could expect to pay. Thomas also called with an ETA before arriving.
