    Brett Gregory Construction
Brett was by far the most affordable licensed GC and performed my renovation timely with no issues. Everything turned out exactly how we discussed. I will be using him for all of my rental properties.

Olive Branch Home Repair and Remodeling
Promised craftsmanship but delivered little better than amateur results. I had to go behind them and sand most of their drywall finish job prior to painting. Plugs and light switches on walls close to each other which should have been level with each other were inches off. Used a floor tile with a defect in it when they ended up with tile left over. The 'custom' closet they were going to build for me was a complete mess that I had to do over. Many other issues. When I pointed out issues they got offended and defensive. (I just didnt know how much they had 'blessed' me with extras). In other words, I was ungrateful for pointing out issues. After giving them so much money up front I felt trapped in the relationship. I decided to just try to work with them the best I could and hope it didnt get worse..It did. They added extra unapproved charges and walked off the job when I challenged the charges. I was trying to get ready for my daughter to come home from college and move into the space. Two months should have been ample time but they knew I had a time issue and used that to their advantage. I gave in and paid them the extra money so I could get the job moving again and be ready for my daughter. I did have them sign an agreement that if they accepted the second payment with the extra money they would not stop work again. They violated that agreement. They Demanded CASH payments after accepting a check for the first. If we didnt pay cash they were going to have to charge us extra. Kitchen tile installed in the one way the manufacturer said not to do, unsatisfactory result. The edges stick up from the floor. They left off agreed upon tasks. Installed a water heater too small to fill a bathtub for a hot bath. Installed a toilet that sits 4 inches from the wall. They quietly packed their tools without a word to me and snuck out the back when they figured out they installed the shower plumbing incorrectly and tiled around the mistake. (The instructions clearly indicated how it should have been done but they obviously did not read them) This was after demanding a 'Partial Payment' on completion of the job 3 business days earlier and after signing a contract committing not to walk off the job again in return for me paying them the second payment and the extra charge. They didn't even have the decency to face me and give me their 'complaints'. They just didn't show up the next day. They would not accept any calls from me when they 'quit'. After a day of calling and texting them they finally sent me book length texts saying I was too hard to please and they quit. Subsequent emails claim I watched them do everything and never complained? They abandoned a botched job. I am considering legal options. I have opened a complaint with the better business bureau.

    Frank Stasek Construction Inc
Frank handled the whole project from soup to nuts, communicated with me on each phase, offered suggestions when I needed them, and found ways to save money without compromising the quality of the outcome. His workers were punctual and professional, and they left a beautiful finished product and no trace of a work zone. I've since relied on Frank and his team for maintenance needs as well and I feel that I'm always in good hands. I could not recommend more highly!

    Handi Andy
When we began our relationship with Andy it was via a phone call from our primary residence many miles away across the state. Based on his excellent reviews, his pleasant demeanor, knowledgeable answers to my questions and his suggestions, it gave us the confidence to move to the next step of having him walk through our property and have him prepare a proposal. He and his team began demo immediately after we closed on our purchase. During the process he was an excellent communicator utilizing the phone, texting and even sending us photo updates at each milestone. This communication was awesome as we were only in town 50% of the time. He was extremely focused on maximizing the timeline to ensure that our daughter could move into her unit by a set deadline. He then completed our unit based on our goals. Our project became a domino from one task leading to numerous others. Andy did a great job, updating us on the areas that needed attention and how we would need to adjust the budgeting and end bill. Andy believes in completing the work with excellence and then receiving payment. Due to the extent of our remodeling, we worked with him on breaking down the expenses at various stages of the journey. Even upon completion of our work, we needed a few areas to be tweaked and he was quick to return to us to make sure we were satisfied with the final end result. As an added note, Andy was dedicated to us and did not hop around between us other job opportunities and back to us. He was committed to doing a fabulous job for us, even if that required turning down other jobs that were presented to him He stays focused on the job at hand and kept his eye on our target...serving us his present client.

    Baker's Home Improvement
He did a lot of work for my daughter's new house in addition to the fence. Installed a dishwasher. Hung doors. Fixed block work around the foundation. Put new steps on a deck. Everything was good. When he fixed things it was impressive. He was quick. When he said he was going to be there, he was there and did it all in the time frame he said. He had very reasonable prices. He's a "good old boy". I plan to use him again to redo my bathroom (remove a bathtub and put up a free-standing shower).

    Charming Countertops
The thing I like is I found a local place that supplies things and they had has card and I called him up. I had an existing piece of granite and he agreed to come out and they were upfront. He cut the thing up with another gentleman and popped it in there in no time. They were very prompt and on time. They asked me what kind of work there were and they were true to what kind of an estimate they gave me. And I know that it was kind of general because he had not looked at the things before as far as the granite and the actual counter top he was going to put in there. They leveled and cut the granite which I had bought at a local goodwill store. He came in and cut it to fit and installed it on my sink. He did exactly what I asked and took care of it. It looks good to me.

    Custom Remodeling & General Builders
Paul Webster did an excellent job and was very patient considering the problems that developed which were not of his doing.
He also installed a steam room cabinet in the bath area. The steam cabinet was delivered damaged and new parts had to be ordered. This delayed his progress for week or more. He continued to work on what he could while waiting for the parts.
I then had to leave town for a week due to family matters and once again Paul and his crew worked with us on the delay.
Paul has many jobs in the pipeline so he had the ability to move to those jobs during the delay. The project bid process started in late July and the project finished in late September. I must emphasis that none of the delay was Paul Webster's fault. Instead he worked around the delay. During this delay he did not ask for an advance payment on the project.
If all materials had been delivered on time he could have finished the project in a week or less and this was a from scratch basement bathroom. When he left the bath/steam room was clean and ready to use.
We are happy with his work and his parting statement and quot;If any problems develop call me and we will fix themand quot;.
The best recommendation we can give is that any work that is to be done at our house he will do it

    Landmark Services of Tennessee
This whole experience could not have gone any better. From the time I first met Eric, he was courteous, timely and helpful. I bid this remodel out to 5 different contractors and Eric's price was the 2nd lowest of them all. What made it an obvious pick besides the previous reputation was the fact he was able to do everything I asked of him where the rest of the bidders had at least one or more items they were not able to do for me and that I would have had to find another contractor to do.
As anyone who has done a remodel knows, they take longer and cost more than you anticipate. From the onset I let Eric know that we had a deadline to meet in order to accomplish my loan refinance that had already begun. He won the bid on a Friday and had guys out that Saturday to begin working. They worked every weekend until the job was done and often worked well past normal business hours. To some that may seem like an inconvenience, but I thought it really showed their efforts to hit or exceed the deadline which they did by a full week.
As with any contractor, your experience is going to be influenced by the subcontractors they utilize for their projects. Every new face that I met throughout this entire time could not have been nicer or more helpful. The main carpenter Keith was an amazing help to me. He would always stick around till I got home from work to recap what had been done, talk through what was going to
go on the next day and answer questions. He also offered industry expertise when needed, best practices when I was unsure of something and even advice on what he had seen done in other projects when I was lost or needed another set of eyes. I cannot say enough good things about Keith. He was a great guy and really made the whole experience enjoyable.
The Drywall guy. You heard me correct, one guy. Was UNBELIEVABLE! Knocked out the entire drywall work in just a few days. He always asked me if I was satisfied with the work and even offered me different options for how to finish the ceilings. I will tell you the truth, I did the rough drywall work and it was not great by any means. He worked magic on subpar seams. We went with a flat ceiling which shows everything and you cannot see one seam.
The painting crew was phenomenal. Every day I was amazed at how much they accomplished. They were perfectionist. I seldom had the chance to catch anything that did not already have a black circle around it for repair the following day.
Now onto the crowning achievement of this whole project, the Master Bath (Really wish I could post photos). This bathroom has received praise and compliments from everyone who has seen it. Many have said it is the nicest bathroom they have seen in a house before. When I started this discussion with them I told them that I wanted the Master Bath to be eye catching and memorable. When I talked to Eric about what I was thinking for the tile, he told me about a good friend of his that could get a pretty good deal on Travertine Tile. After looking at some of the photos of Eric's own bathroom that he used it in I was sold. The price was very competitive and the quality was great. Once the tile was chosen we had to then move onto patterns which if you have ever tried to pick alternating patterns for a 6 foot tub and floor to ceiling tile shower in a bathroom, it is quite challenging. He talked through it with
    me on many occasions.
The team he used (Jose, Jose and Jose... Seriously that was their names) to pour the shower and install the tile were exceptional. They worked nonstop till the job was done, could not have been more kind and considerate. We must have spent at least 2 hours talking through various tile cuts and finishing touches. It was Jose's unsolicited recommendation to grind the hard edges of the tile to soften it that I think really completed the whole bathroom.
I have heard many a horror story and read plenty of them on this website. I am so fortunate that I am not one of them. Eric and his men were the best contractor experience I have had to date and will for certain be who I use moving forward for all of my house repair needs. Of course there were small mistakes, miscommunications, etc. along the way as with any major remodel. What impressed me was how Eric and his team addressed each one and made sure I was completely satisfied every step of the way. Eric and Keith were always responsive to my calls and to my texts. My advice to you is to test what I have just told you. When you are bidding out a large project as I was, include Landmark Services in your list. See where they finish in price (I bet close to the lowest) and then trust me when I tell you the quality is without question what makes them so successful and highly rated. If you want more feedback, give me a call. (615-627-8872)

    LOWE'S
Lowe’s is wonderful. I like their design center.  Before our flood we decided we wanted to update our kitchen. We stripped it all out, and took it all out, the cabinets and everything.  My husband decided he was going to put in all new cabinets.  We sat down with their kitchen designer and we told him exactly what type of cabinets we wanted and exactly what we wanted them to look like and the color as well.  We had run the dimensions of the kitchen so they could decide what we could put in there.  What was wonderful is they came up with a floor plan for my husband to follow. We ordered the cabinets and had them delivered and my husband put them all up.  We did specialty doors and drawers.  Then a month later we had a flood. After the flood came we had a contractor gut everything.  The contractor was going to go somewhere else for the cabinets to get a deal.  I told him he had to go to Lowe’s.  I had saved in a folder all the print-outs from Lowe’s as to what cabinets we needed and exactly how to put them up.  It’s a wonderful service that tells you what you bought and where they fit in the floor plan and the sizes and everything.  The contractor kind of gave me an argument but I said to just go do it. Later he said that those were the easiest cabinets to install.  The cabinets are Kraftsmaid, top of the line cabinets, and they’re just beautiful.  The contractor was amazed that they fit exactly on the walls.  Lowe’s is always an A.  They do next day delivery.  They are really good with washers and dryers and they match prices.  I was looking for a stove and I had an ad from a competing store.  I asked if they could match it and they said they had that stove and they matched the price.  I also got a dishwasher for about half the price and they delivered it all the next day.  My dealings with Lowe’s have been wonderful.  I might as well just hand over my pension check to Lowe’s.  My husband bought knock-out roses for $5 and now we have 25 rose bushes in the front yard.  They also delivered red mulch in the bag and he put the mulch around the roses.  I would give them all A’s; they are just wonderful.
