Landscaping reviews in Loudon

  • Prior to commencing work, Nick provided an informative and organized pre-job discussion in my home; proudly displaying examples from his extensive work portfolio. He also addressed my questions concerning construction materials, installation techniques, expected timelines, and estimated costs. He then provided me with a thorough cost estimate for the removal of the old (and slippery) ceramic entry tiles, including rebuilding the entry platform and steps; along with the installation of new tile flooring. Additionally, the estimate included the installation of new step rails; along with an indoor programmable controller for the strip LED lighting designed to highlight the custom Laura Goff Designs (865-310-7311) etched glass railing panels. Should I require future deck or tile work - I intend to contact Smoky Mountain Deck Builders first - simply because they provide the consumer with quality workmanship and a finished product that is guaranteed to meet or exceed your expectations

  • Outstanding. Doug and his crews were very professional. We will definitely recommend this company. While we haven't received the final bill, the estimate was $6800 with additional cost to reevaluate and make changes to our irrigation system. We are very pleased with Wildwood Land and Design.

  • My father said business is not that complicated and I'm glad more people don't know it. He explained you have for the customer a competitive product or service at a competitive price. You do what you say you will do when you say you will do it. If you can't , communicate before the fact. "A Cut Above Lawn & Landscaping" exemplifies my fathers definition of a successful business. My method with Angie's list is to find long term businesses with A averages and explainable low grades. I called 4 of these. Only "A Cut Above Lawn & Landscaping" called back that day. In early November most landscapers were booked way out so they had no sense of urgency. When the owner knew I had a tree about to fall on a neighboring house, he worked me in at once. The job was done to my neighbor's satisfaction. The charge was less than the estimate.

  • Showed up on time and the crews worked very hard and stayed until they finished. They cleaned up wooded areas and hauled away all of the cut trees and limbs. Very Professional and happy workers. 2nd Job: Hard working crew with 2 bobcats and 2 dump trucks...transformed the yard to a thing of beauty...can't praise them enough. It's a pleasure dealing with a Christian business!

  • They trim, they weed, they do all of my lawn maintenance for me. I've been using them since 2007, and they always do great work! They're always good about coming back if I have an issue and I would recommend them to anyone.

  • Never showed up on time or even on the right day.
Left a chipper truck and a crane truck that leaked hydraulic fluid for weeks on my property where my dogs could potentially lick it up and die despite repeated requests to move them. It took threatening to have them towed to finally get them to move the trucks off of my property.
Extremely difficult to get a hold of on the phone.
I asked for an estimate of some additional work to see if I wanted to do it, and he did the work without asking me or giving me the estimate and then charged me for it.
Repeatedly asked for small payments ($300) before the job was finished.
Took almost 2 months to finally finish the work and get all of him stuff off of my property.
Finally he made a claim to my insurance company of almost $8000 and claimed to have done things and used equipment that was completely false. Now he has been harassing me to "back him up" to my insurance company so that he can make more money on the job.
This man constantly pretends to be your friend, but he is not your friend.

  • Pricey but well worth the cost. Nothing performed was less than sterling. Work was designed and installed as agreed. Four new trees, resloping of lawn area by bobcat work, dirt and debris hauled off, reinstallation of irrigation of sprinklers and termite things. Corrected a slab alignment fault from original house construction of 18 years ago. A big concern of mine was the replacement of the existing beautiful rock work in the culvert. Wow, did they do a great job of new rock work exceeding the old stuff by light years. Work crew headed up by Daniel was extremely efficient and friendly to us and to our neighbors. They even pressure washed the street where construction dirt and other construction debris normally spills. Entire project went exactly as proposed by Mike and was well executed throughout. This company is great and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a high quality job/materials/performance standard. It just doesn't get any better.

  • Grounds Masters did an adequate job.  Worked only 3 hours - pruned, weeded, clipped paver edges, iris, bushes, Magnolia tree, added soil and seeded along paver edges, hauled material away.  Said they would be back to remove crab grass (additional fee). Did not followup by phone or set new date to check on job.  We watered several times a time ... grass started to grow but there was far too much straw.  Finally, we had to rake all of the excess straw and bag it...4 bags of extra straw.  Added note: Jeff (foreman) and one man left for about an hour and returned.  We, the customer, ended up trying to find someone else to provide landscape service.  Would not recommend this company based on high cost and fair job.

  • Two men arrived in the morning.  Scheduled for afternoon.  My husband told them what to do.  I had to call them as job was not completed.  Juan said he would come back to fix it.  Rained on day he said he was coming (Sat.).  Finally, showed up on the following Tuesday.  Told me that he did the job and I asked him why there were iris uncut or totally missed and leaves around many of the bushes.  Brought a crew to finish job but I told him that I just wanted him to leave as he basically told me that he did the job as instructed by my husband.  His attitude was less than customer friendly.  Definitely would not hire him again.  Way overcharged for two men for less than two hours.
Reason that I do not want to share my review:  Do not want calls.

  • This review would of been totally different if our phone calls had been returned. After 11 days this review was wrote. We had no idea they were going to do the work till they called and said we are coming out today. I had already submitted this review by then.

After she saw the review Sarah Gomez called and left a message letting us know that she was mad about the review I submitted. We were already looking for another landscaper as we thought since our calls weren't being returned that they weren't going to do the job.

The job they did was not very good. They left a mess in the yard which me and my wife cleaned up. The stumps they ground were half way done. I worked for several hours digging up small roots out of the beds before we could go in and start our replanting. I have one root 2 foot long I had to dig out of the front yard. It was explained to her that we were planting flowers back where we had all the bushes removed and we needed them ground up fine. I have had several stumps dug up thru the years and when they were done it was all well ground and could be used for mulch. I got a garbage bag full of stumps we dug up.

For the kind of work that they did the price was outrageous. I didn't get all my tree work done as they missed one of the limbs I wanted removed. It was leaning toward the house and we were afraid some day that it may hit the house.

After the phone call she left on my phone I would not recommend these people to anyone. Sarah can blame me all she wants. All it took was 2 minutes to pick up the phone and say we have your job and we will call you when we can work you in. Instead of just calling and saying we'll be out in an hour.

Not a good experience with these people.
