ALandscaping Creations LLCThey have been here twice to discuss the project. He did a complete breakdown of the costs. There were a couple of things that we hadn't considered and he had some good creative ideas such as the fire pit, which my husband has always wanted. It was very affordable to incorporate the ideas that he had. We were very pleased with the estimate and better than what we had expected. He was very personable and easy to get along with. He was looking out for the fact that we did want to stay on budget so he did offer some suggestions for some ways to do some things and he took advantage of what we already had in place, which was nice. He was respectful of our budget and didn't try to push us to do extra stuff. He wasn't high pressure. He was low key and friendly. He spent 3 or 4 hours with my husband going around the property to make sure that he knew what we wanted, which was pretty impressive. FSouthern IrrigationThey installed a residential system with 11 zones. They did not use any clamps anywhere as directed on the Rainbird website. Within one month I had a serious leak when the system was off. I also contracted for a 110V electrical box to be installed on the rear of my property. This failed (shorted out) within a week of installation. I have talked to them numerous times to have the electrical problem repaired but no response As for the missing clamps, I cannot tell if this is actually leaking anywhere because I have no benchmark water bill to compare it to. My water bill rose. to 3.6 times more than normal. I have not asked them to address the clamp issue because I have no proof that it is actually causing a problem I would not use Southern Irrigation nor recommend them. Gary Lowe is a very personable guy but that doesn't help when it comes time to stand behind his work- George B.

AWe were very please with Todd and his crew. They were professional, did exactly what they said they would do, started within the window of what they quoted, completed the work quicker than quoted (1 week!) and had the best price of everyone I quoted. They cleaned up everything and left the area ready to use. As with anything, there are a couple of concerns that I voiced and Todd did not hesitate in offering a solution. I have some landscaping work I need and will certainly consider Earthscapes for the work.

AThey did the applications within the right time windows to get the weeds gone and fill in thin spots. I didn't have to be home for the service. It isn't rocket science. So really the best thing for me was being able to call without feeling like I was complaining and say I have a few stray weeds. They come out and spot spray free of charge as advertised without having to get gangster on the phone.

Recent Review:
DAdvanced Landscaping Services sub contracted out the excavation of the perimeter and dirt moving to EC Long who did a respectable job and I would use him in the future. My main complaint is that Victor Tobaugh got caught up with trying to expedite and complete the job in one day with a great sacrifice in quality. Victor's actions resulted in actual damage to the property (left side facing the house) by allowing a 20 yard dump truck to drive on the property in order to reduce tractor time in hauling the dirt from the street. I still have the indentations in the ground. Another bad decision he made was to start the aeration and seeding before the excavation began which resulted in the heavy John Deer CT ( a bigger, heavier Bob Cat looking excavation machine ) grader with a large loader blade damaging the work done by the aeration and seeding crew. I suspect LC Long was late in arriving. Victor also objected to excavation of one side of the property because it was not owned by me and was an empty lot although in his estimate it was included. The fact that the excavation was not done on side (right side facing the house) of the property the big John Deer CT had to run up the side and damaging the existing aeration and seeding and left indentation in the ground.
Victor said he would double seed the excavated areas and in my opinion he did not. The excavated areas should have been raked and the protruding roots, loose rocks and mounds of dirt near the edge removed or smoothed out so the area could be mowed without blade damage to the mower. The poor surface preparation was masked by the erosion mats.
Another area of contention was in my opinion a over estimation of material used. I was suppose to get 6 loads of dirt and only received 5. The estimate was for 11 erosion mats and they only used 9. Also on the estimate was 400 pounds of grass seed yet there were areas that at best were sparely seeded.
Victor also understated the ease of the erosion mat removal which was our responsibility.
