    I got the parts I ordered, they were packaged very well and Ashley was an absolute gem to deal with. I had an issue with my parts I received and she jumped right on the matter and resolved it immediately.     We called the office to see if they could do the work.  The office personnel was courteous and professional, and asked for many details to determine the exact part that was required.  She then gave me a quote, indicating how much was for the service call charge, how much for parts, and how much for estimated labor.  We agreed to have it done and agreed on a date.  She said the technician would call between 8:30AM and 9:00AM on the day of service to give us an exact time of arrival.  On the day of service, the technician did, in fact, call during the designated time and indicated when he would arrive.  He arrived on time, and with the parts required.  He checked out our problem, and proceeded to replace the switch.  He was very pleasant, courteous and professional, and quickly made the repair.  When he was finished, he waived the labor charge because it didn't take him long at all, and because he had another service call in the area anyway.


    As part of our conversation, he told me that Mid South Appliance is an authorized repair representative for several major appliances.  I mentioned to him that Angie's List showed that the business was neither insured or bonded.  He indicated that that statement is incorrect, as they are required to be insured in order to be an authorized repair center.  He said he would talk to the office to see if this can be corrected.

    I would recommend this company to anyone who requires appliance or HVAC repair/maintenance

    I thought the heating element went out. After the technician diagnosed everything, he discovered it was not the element but the thermostat. Not as expensive as an element would have been.  I just did not want this expense at Christmas, but thankful they could repair it. He was only here maybe 30 minutes and had it repaired. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. I have used this company before for a refrigerator, and now a dryer. I will definitely use them again.

    My refrigerator was not keeping cool anymore, but freezer was working. Called MidState on Friday morning, and was able to get sameday appointment for noon. Repair guy showed up on time. Took him just minutes to figure out what was wrong. Evaporator fan motor was broken. He first tried to replace with a generic fan but the fit was was not perfect. The part had to be picked up. Setup new appointment for install, next day at 9am. He showed up on time again and fixed it within 20 mins. Part was $90. Labor was $75.

    My washer quite working during the spin cycle, and wont start again.  I called Mid State this morning to have it fixed.  The first person I spoke to was very friendly and said that the technician would call me within 15 minutes to schedule the time today for the service call.  The technician did not call for almost an hour and informed me that there was no way he could get to it today, and that even if he could, it wouldn't be fixed today as he would have to order parts.  He was not at all friendly or helpful, just very blunt bordering on rude.  I was very surprised after reading other reviews on this site for this company.  After this experience, I definitely wil NOT be using this company, nor will I recommend them to anyone else.

    Refrigerator was purchased from Best Buy. I called them. They opened a warranty ticket and sent it to Gabe's. Best Buy said I would be contacted within two days by Gabes. I wasn't contacted, so I called Gabes myself. After that initial contact, all was smooth. Gabes has a certified Samsung tech who ordered the part, arrived at my house, replaced the part, now the ice maker is working like new. No issues.

    Great! At first he thought the valve had gone bad. After checking it, he discovered that the line had froze and I did not need the valve. So nice to deal with an honest person and company!
