I have been going to Dr. Rick Hall for years.

I took a dog in and they didn't know what was wrong with him. They sent him to the vet hospital at UT. There was something seriously wrong and we did have to put him to sleep, but they did the right thing. They recommended something and we did that. I just think it was remarkable that they told me that didn't know what was wrong with him and told me the right place to take him.

I think the price is reasonable. I don't think they charge high prices. He is always good with the pets. It is convenient.

My pets have always received wonderful care. The staff is very attentive and I've always received a followup phone call to check my pet's recovery following surgery or illness. They've also managed to work me in quickly when something abrupt comes up.

Dr. Skinner and his staff are the BEST in the business. I've had veterinarians in multiple states over the years and none of them can compare. His compassion and care for my Chloe went above and beyond that of any other veterinarian that I've ever seen. His kindness is genuine and his love for animals is undeniable.

They're reasonably priced and real good. My sister had been taking her dog there for 13 years and I just started taking my dog there when I moved back. They're fair and they care about the animal. They don't try to get you to do more than is required. I was using another one and I didn't like it and I moved over today.

I was pleased because of the staff. They were very caring about our pet’s conditions. The vet actually spent his time explaining and ensuring that I was comfortable of the treatment plan. They have very caring, very helpful and personable staff. They have good price.

I've been going to them for about eleven years and I went to them with my cat before that.

I think they do an extremely good job, they're very patient, they'll listen and they do take care of the animals.

Bluegrass gets 5 stars for how they treat the animals; 1 star for how they handle complaints. Heres an example. Im a repeat boarding customer for BG. I board my dog for 7 days while I am on vacation. I drive for 9 hours miles back from the beach and get my dog at 6 PM. At 9:30 there is bloody diarrhea on my dining room carpet (the stain wont come out). At 11:30 it happens in the bedroom. I confine the dog in the kitchen on a tile floor. At 12:30 it happens again. It is as bad as the first two combined. I dont worry about diarrhea, but blood is another matter. At 2 AM we are at the Emergency Animal Clinic. That costs over $200. By 9 AM the dog has had a total of 10 sizeable bloody diarrhea stools - four of them between 4AM and 9AM. I call BG to see what help they can offer. I get this from the owner: It is stress diarrhea, we didnt cause it. Besides, you signed an agreement that we are not responsible. People are always looking for someone to blame. (I only told them what happened, I never said they caused it.) I dont know what you want (because she never gave me a chance to suggest anything). Here are some tips on what to feed him. I take the dog to my vet. He gets more IV fluids and some special i/d food. Thats another $100. My $200 boarding bill ends up costing me $500 and BG isnt responsible. Fine. You dont get a Like on Facebook for that. You could have said: I hear you are worried about your dog. Bring him in and well check him for free and well give you some i/d for him. How hard would that have been? I could have suggested it if the lady had given me half a chance. Instead I got to hear about her woes. Maybe she was having a bad day. My dog sure had a bad night and mine wasnt much better. The good news the dog is fine.

My family has used Fountain City Animal Hospital for over 20 yrs love everyone there. They are alittle expensive compared to other Vets but when you visit you will see why, everyone that works there seems to care about your pet including the ladies at the front desk. Back in 2013 there was a groomer there that I loved and my shih tzu loved her too but she had to move to diff state, miss her so much. We love Fountain City Animal Hospital so does our pets!!!

The exam fee is only $20. this is half the price of other vets. i appreciate this greatly. i have 7 animals, and it shouldn't break the bank to bring the animals in to be seen. generally it only takes 5 minutes to see/prescribe an rx for what is wrong, and i think $20 is plenty of money to do that. i am not understanding why other vets charge so much. i am glad i found this vet. they don't overcharge on the meds they prescribe either. the antibiotics were expensive, so i looked online for a better price. it was only $4 cheaper online. this is a very reasonable upcharge. they have to make a little bit of profit to pay the employees and the building rent/taxes/utilities/equipment, etc.... i am glad i found this vet, and wish i had found this vet 15 years ago. had previously been going to @Animal Medical Clinic at Magnolia Ave, and i had to quit them for wasting my time. they told me i could come there and get some worming medicine and when i got there, they changed their mind and said they wouldnt sell it to me and to look online --- this, AFTER they already told me they would. i am still at a loss to understand this. and the girl that works the front desk with the blond hair is snotty and rude. acting like i am the one with the problem, i drove from oak ridge tn to the office in east knoxville -- for no other reason --- except to pick up the meds they told me i could get, and then act rude and snotty to me and act like i'm the one who is crazy. (this is still very confusing to me of why they told me to come down and not to bring the animal, then i get there, and they say no we arent going to sell it to you, and that it doesn't require an rx, so go buy it online??? if it doesnt require an rx, and that's why you told me i can come down to buy some from you, and then i drive 40 minutes and you say no i am not going to sell it to you, go buy it off the internet??? and i had been going there 15 years.... i think they were mad that i go to a shot clinic to get their shots...that is a great place too --- @Planned Pet-Hood of harriman -- love this place, cheapest place to get shots. even if you have to travel a bit to get there, if you have multiple pets it will still save you money. anyway, i am sorry i went to @Animal Medical Clinic at Magnolia Ave the past 15 years. i wish i'd never given them any business at all. but anyhow, that is what led me to come to karns animal clinic instead, and am happy i did!!! keep up the good work Karns Animal Clinic, and thank you again for your low prices, it makes it easier to bring the animals in when they need it. there are often times that i woudln't bring the animals in because of having to pay $40 just to walk in the door to other vets, and so i would wrestle with "do i see if it goes away on its own, do i take them to the vet?": because there are most of the time, where the animal really does get better on its own, and wasting $40 every time can be expensive with 7 animals.... now, it wont be such a wrestling match, if i want to take them in, $20 isn't bad for a doctor to look and see if they are alright. this means a lot to me, thank you again.

We always appreciate the care Dr. Bea gives our fur babies. Her at-home services help immensely because one of us is disabled and trying to catch, crate, transport conveyance to the car and wrestle with  logistics when we go to a vet's office is a tremendous burden.
