Trash Removal reviews in Knoxville

Absolutely zero complaints. Getting the account set up was fast and easy. Customer service is obviously a high priority. Pricing is excellent. All around a really great company to do business with. They also offer dumpster service; I haven't used that yet but I have some remodeling coming up so it may be on the horizon for me.

Great!  We filled out a form on their website late on July 4.  They emailed July 5 morning and confirmed they would be by that afternoon.  They were on time, polite, and uniformed.   They gave us a quote on the spot which we found was reasonable, so we gave the go ahead.  They removed everything within about an hour. They worked even though it started pouring rain.  It would have taken me and my spouse a full day and multiple trips to the dump.  Totally worth the money.

Tammy was very professional and friendly on the phone. She was knowledgeable about the whole process and kept me informed when ever I needed help. Glen was friendly, extremely talented driver able to maneuver the 30 yard dumpster to right where we needed it. They provided pick up and return service and even a second box to replace the first as it was being dumped. I highly recommend this company. They deserve a thumbs up . A+ rating!

I signed up with Tennessee Trash Service after going through four price increases from Waste Management with no notice.  They pick up the trash each Friday daily.  They have never missed a collection. Also, I have placed additional bins outside when I have done yard work that is in addition to the bins they provided.  I've never heard a complaint and they put the bins back in place.  I also like the convenience of paying online and there is no additional charge for that.
All in all, I'm very pleased with their level of service.

Every Wednesday evening I have the same routine- go to the rear of my condo and wheel around the brown canister and place it in the correct direction at the end of the sidewalk adjacent to my front door. Every Thursday morning the big white truck comes around, the guy wheels the canister to the rear of the dump truck, and has the truck empty my canister. The truck lowers it and the guy wheels it back to its original location and they move on to my neighbors. This exceptionally simple process has happened every single week since April without failure until this week 8/21/2014.
I was working in my front office with clear view of the neighborhood, including the trash cans lined up near my neighbors. I heard the familiar loud noises in my quiet neighborhood and happened to look out just in time to see the truck back in to pick up various trash cans from my neighbors. Then I watched them drive off. I called Tennessee Trash Service and spoke with an exceptionally nice lady that said I wasn't the first call from my neighborhood and she would radio the truck and have them come back. While working in my home office I heard the truck come back for a second trip and back into the circular drive that sits in front of my condo. I saw a guy come from the truck, open my neighbor's canister to find it empty (as I watched them empty it the first time) and then walked back to the truck and drove away. Irritated at this point I then called back and told the very nice female that answered the phone what I had seen. She then proceeded to ask me if I was absolutely sure it was actually full. I told her I was positive and she placed me on hold. I walked outside and opened to canister to make sure I hadn't somehow missed something and I saw a full can. When she came back she asked the same question again and I told her I had the lid open looking at it. I was then asked if I was sure someone hadn't put their trash in my can. With it being in clear view of where I was working, I was positive. She said they would send them back out yet again.
At this point I had to drive to work for a meeting. While in the meeting I received a call/voicemail stating that the driver had been out a third time and my trash can was empty!! Irritated, I called and told her that if he had seen it empty then it wasn't my trash can he was looking at. That is when the alleged owner came on the line and asked me where I was placing the canister. I told her that it was in the exact same spot it had been in for months and it had been collected every single time. She then told me if it had been in the proper location then the driver would have picked it up. I told her it was in the same place in front of my condo as every other can that had been collected, including my next door neighbor. She continued to tell me that the driver had been on the route for 20 years and if my trash had been collected previously then he must have been driving where he shouldn't have been driving. Instead of finding a solution and expressing empathy for my frustration she was busy telling me how it must have been either my fault or the driver's since he must have been driving where he should have been for months. I was so frustrated by the end of the call that I ended the call properly (I didn't hang up on her) and just decided that I wouldn't get anywhere. If I had been properly explained as to why the truck didn't come to me but did my neighbors then I would totally get it, but there was absolutely no attempt at working toward an understanding or solution. This goes beyond just and quot;wheeling your trash ten-to-fifteen feet to the left, and quot; because as a customer I want to know why I've been picked up for months and without warning the driver just wouldn't pick up as usual until I ask them to come back for a fourth trip.
I don't feel the customer service was present at this level nor did I ask to escalate it to the alleged owner. I find there was no solution being offered by the company except to roll my canister 10-15 feet to my neighbor's condo and hope we all get our service collected. This is very unacceptable in my book as Customer Service 101 will tell you that you never push the problem onto the customer to figure out! You always come up with a solution!!! I will be searching for another service and will go with another company before renewing. This just isn't what I've come to expect from Tennessee Trash Service and I'm highly disappointed in the lack of customer focus.

Last year I called because I noticed I was being charged $7.50 per quarter for something called "optional replacement fee." I was told I would have this "optional" (I never signed up for it) charge removed and be credited $22.50 for 3 quarters' worth of erroneous fees. I never received that credit and continued to be charged those fees in addition to my cost per quarter for recycling and pickup going up and up. Today I called to once again speak about the fees and overcharges and was told I could only be charged the price quoted per month if I agreed to a 2-year contract. No way. I was also told the $30 per quarter "fuel and environmental fee" was not negotiable because that was meant to keep the trucks in "tip-top shape" and for them to avoid getting fines at the landfills. I would think such items would be included in the per-month price. When I then cancelled service, the customer service rep raised his voice, changed his tone, and made me feel uneasy. He told me that I would be charged a prorated fee because I was cancelling "in the middle of the quarter." The quarter began 2/1/13, and today is 2/3/13. I could not figure out how that was "the middle of the quarter," and tried to question it, but the rep kept raising his voice and talking over me. He finally said I would be sent a bill for those 2 days of the quarter. I was then transferred to accounts to make sure they would not continue to ACH/autocharge me. This transaction took almost 27 minutes.

We had not realized that the recycling was picked up at a different time of day than the trash. When I called to say that the recycling hadn't been picked up they told me that it hadn't been out when they came by at 7:00 a.m. (the regular trash pick up is around noon), so they offered to have their other truck come to our house and pick up the recycling, which they did. Now that's service!!

I searched for some time for a quality lawn care provider.  On a walk around the subdivision one day I counted 5 lawn care providers on our street.  I asked each for a card, some had them others did not.  I asked about giving a quote to provide services for us but most said I would have to call the "office" for someone to give me a quote.  I also had trouble finding a company that did lawn care and didn't want to sell me a new landscape design or brick pavers.
I met Antonio for another reason and happened to mention I was looking for a lawn care provider.  It just happened that was what he did!  He came out and gave an estimate which I thought was more than fair for the quality of work.  Antonio takes extreme pride in his work. Our lawn has never looked better! He is very detailed and knows it is his name that is attached to the work, not someone back in the "office."  We have used his services for the past couple months and will continue to do so.  With all this rain lately and such a healthy lawn now, we have had to increase the frequency of his visits!  I can't recommend him enough for high quality lawn care.

This was the second time we used Junk Bee Gone.  The first was in autumn 2012 when they took a large amount of old furniture from our house.  The furniture had to be taken down a flight of stairs, and there were no mishaps, e.g. gouged floors or walls.  The service they provided was professional and prompt.  We called them again last month to take away some household items we no longer need.  They also took two old bicycles.  I love that the company recycles everything they can, and they donate the bicycles to a local organization that refurbishes them and gives them to local children.

In the past, they have been especially bad with the recycling service. Recently though, they have been bad with their garbage service. They keep promising to have it picked up at the end of the day, and they keep missing it. They are the only service provider for this in area.
