Auto Glass Repair reviews in Knoxville

Our insurance company arranged the service. We had used Safelite before and were very pleased then. The appointment was made and as promised the technician called before coming to give the wife a heads up. Jordan performed the work. He did an excellent job of explaining what needed to be done, what our options were and what he was doing as he worked. He also vacuumed inside the car and cleaned all the windows. If misfortune strikes and you need glass repaired call Safelite.

replacement caused wind noise - they said they couldn't hear it and that was all they could do. It was loud. I took it somewhere else and had it replaced again by someone with experience. works great now.

We almost didn't use this company because of how few good reviews of them we saw. However, we'd hired them in the past and it always went well, so we called them this time. They came out promptly to look at the job, answered questions and provided an estimate on the spot. When we were ready to do the work we called them back. They scheduled us just a few days out, came as scheduled and performed the work to our satisfaction. The charge for the job was exactly what they estimate had said.

Great, fast, professional service at their shop (which is behind Fellers, not actually on Outlet Dr). When I called, they advised I avoid coming to shop 11AM-1PM due to high lunch-hour drop-ins, so I went about 2:30. The tech took a look at my rock-ding, explained their process and said it'd be 20-30 minutes. Van was ready in less than 20 minutes. A bonus, they gave me a discount because my auto insurance company does business with them, even thought I paid for the repair. They could have performed this service at a remote location for about $20 more with an appointment, as they can with windshield replacements. Great deal in west Knoxville!

the quality and workmanship were very good, the work was done with care and skill, the results were excellent in appearance, but their was never a response to calls requesting a follow up adjustment because of water leaking out around the door. Excellent workmanship, poor customer relations after the bill was paid. I will probably try someone else for any future needs.

I made an appointment Monday morning for today. The lady took my information. We discussed the best day of the week because it was raining most of the week. I was to be there at 2:30. I was there, the place was closed. No lights, no cars and definitely no phone call from them to reschedule. I'm very disappointed because they received such good reviews.

Was able to set up appointment online, got e-mail confirmations, estimate of price, etc.by e-mail. Replacement had to be done in the shop due to some sensors connected to the glass behind rearview mirror. Their shop is not easiest to find, but that's not a dealbreaker. It was a bigger service operation than I had expected.
Made appt Tuesday afternoon for Wed 8am appt. I had concerns whether they would have the correct glass in stock on short notice, but it appeared their inventory is significant. [Another Knoxville firm listed on AL was only slightly higher in price but needed an extra day to order the right glass.] I arrived 10 min.s late but it caused no problem. They went to work and I was out in 2 hr.s Courteous staff that kept me informed of what they were doing. Free snacks and drinks in the waiting area.
Repair was several dollars under the estimate.
Note said they vacuumed car and cleaned the glass...I found small amount of old seal crud or debris on my console. And you get the complimentary air freshener vent-clip (which helps mask the lingering odor of adhesive used around seal.)
With any car repair involving removal and re-use of trim, there are some places that fitment won't quite go back as tight as it was from factory...somewhat to be expected.
Overall Quality of work appeared to be very good, time will tell...after a good rain or carwashing.
    Would certainly use again.

I haven't submitted a review before because I was unaware she was on Angie's List.  I just found that out today.  When I found her the first time, she came recommended by a friend.
I can not say anything negative about the services that have been performed by Jennifer.  I was totally pleased each time with her professionalism, as well as the quality of the work she did.  The cost, also,  was very reasonable.  Not only would I highly recommend her, I would also choose her again.

I received a estimate for around $241 dollars. When the window was finished they had to use a larger piece of glass then expected. I was told the price should go up 21 dollars but they gave me the first price estimate. I thank them for that. Work was very nice and clean. I would use phoenix glass again and would recommend them to others.

I called these folks on Friday afternoon to schedule having my door glass replaced, and scheduled a Monday morning appointment. I was going to be out of town, so I left the truck with the mechanics at the heavy equipment yard where I work from. Hammer's showed up, found the truck, and replaced the glass (with used glass from a junkyard, not what I paid for) without asking the mechanics for the key so they could test out the window's operation. Not only did the window not roll down when I got back to check on it, but they hadn't cleaned the broken glass out of the inside of the door, let alone the rest of the truck. I called to ask if they knew why the window wouldn't work, and was told that they would call me back after they got done with their next job and come back out to fix it. While I waited, I took the door back apart myself and found the loose connection, and then vacuumed about 2lbs of broken glass out of the door. When they called back, I asked why they hadn't cleaned out the broken glass and was told that they don't carry a vacuum with them. Having had a vehicle broken into before, I knew that the big glass companies do this as a standard procedure. I used Hammer's because I wanted to give a local business a shot, but I could have replaced the glass with junkyard glass myself in the amount of time it took me to fix their shoddy work.
