They have changed the way that they operate. The outpatient program has gone to the way side. They have hurt a lot of people since. They do a good job but, I do not like the way that management is running things.

It didn't take a terribly long time to get a new patient appointment, which I guess was a bad sign, because you normally have to wait a few months to get in to see a new psychiatrist who is popular. My first impression of the office was the staff, and they were very friendly, although always quite busy. In the past, when I started with a new psychiatrist (for bi-polar disorder), the new doctor would take a detailed history that took well over an hour, but Dr. Lewis only talked to me for about 15 - 20 minutes, and only asked questions regarding my most recent treatment. She very quickly wrote refills for my existing medications and left. Every appointment after that was less than 10 minutes and was just a quick "how are you?" and "I will see you again in a couple months". I can not be honest about my emotional state when I have no connection with the psychiatrist and that is what was happening in this case. I ended up spiraling down very quickly and being hospitalized while medication changes were made. If I had spent time with a doctor who seemed to care about my condition and treatment, my condition may not have disintegrated so quickly. To make matters worse, they have been making billing mistakes from the very start. The office staff told me the billing was handled by a different office but that they would notify them of insurance changes. This didn't happen. For my first appointment, I received a bill for $60. although my co-pay was only $20. When I called, the person on the phone said they would correct the problem, at which time I paid the correct amount of $20. But a short time later, I received a collections letter for the full $60. This has taken time and effort on my part to correct when from the start, it was their mistake! They also continued to make billing mistakes for every appointment I had there. My insurance changed at the start of the year, at which time I gave the office my new insurance information, but I received letters indicating the insurance wouldn't pay, but it was because they had continued to bill the old insurance company. Again, phone calls and effort on my part had to be made to correct THEIR mistakes. My entire experience with this office has been nothing but an unpleasant headache.
