He was very caring and helpful. I like that he knows what to do to help the pain. He had taken care of my mom ( Betty Tipton) for years and was always very kind and helpful. Everyone is very friendly. Would definitely recomend

The office is tidy, they were running right on schedule, no waiting, my Dr. was extremely knowledgeable and I would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a family physician in East Tennessee area.

Everyone in the office made my 9 year old son feel comfortable. He had ingrown nails on both big toes that Dr Hamilos removed permanently. Because of his age it was done under sedation. Dr Hamilos and his staff took the time to answer my questions and more importantly to talk to my son and help him handle his anxiety about the procedure. The procedure was quick and my son experienced very little pain afterwards. I can't praise Dr Hamilos and his staff enough!!!

It did not go well.  I arrived at the hospital two hours before the scheduled surgery for an x-ray, even though I had been told by The Urology Clinic that x-rays did not identify stones.  Dr. Beaird came to see me before surgery and did not tell me the results of the pre-op x-ray.  Instead, when I asked how he was doing, he said he was "very tired."

The surgery was unremarkable.  However, after being released from recovery, I had to turn around after coming home and go straight back to the ER because of unmanageable pain.  A third CT scan was ordered--this one showed the kidney stone still in my left kidney--the one Dr. Beaird supposedly had "blasted into 6-7 pieces" (as told to my boyfriend by Dr. Beaird).

I was admitted to the hospital and stayed overnight.  I was in terrible pain from around 4:30 p.m. until midnight.  Dr. Beaird did not make rounds himself the next morning.  Instead, the clinic sent over a nurse practitioner who tried to convince me that I hadn't heard Dr. Beaird correctly when he said the stone had moved to my bladder.  I would like to know where I came up with the name of the surgery--cystolitholapaxy--if not from Dr. Beaird himself.  This surgery specifically says it removes stones from the bladder.  Dr. Beaird even drew me a little picture of the bladder to show how the stone had migrated and "got stuck."

The nurse practitioner could not tell me if a stone had ever actually been in my bladder.  She said something about it moving to the left ureter, according to Beaird's notes.  When I looked at my copy of the procedure, I noticed that it says "right ureteroscopy"--and I had nothing done on my right ureter.  I still have Dr. Beaird's initials on my left upper thigh, to "remind him" that the surgery was on the left side.

I am going to collect all of my records from the hospital and The Urology Clinic and take them to a real urologist at UTMC in Knoxville, TN.  Do not let Dr. Beaird anywhere near your lady parts.  I am still in a lot of pain, from what appears to be a completely unnecessary surgery that accomplished nothing, since I still have a kidney stone in my left kidney.  If I have any avenues open for getting a refund for a frivolous surgery, I will take the necessary steps.

Dr. Rolen immediately gave me a chest x-ray and CT scan and I went home. The next afternoon Dr. Rolen called me on my cell and told me to be in his office the next morning by 8:30 and to bring clothes for the hospital. Said I had a collapsed lobe in my right lung. The next day a Dr. performed a bronch and quickly found out I had 1st stage lung cancer. His fast acting and sending me to Vanderbilt hospital left 2/3rds of my lung working fine. 1st stage lung cancer is rare but his swiftness literally saved my life. I have been with him over 20 years and know he's the best Primary Care Physician around!

I started seeing Quinton Carroll, LPN, in the Doctors Care practice about 1 1/2 years ago. My usual Doctor in the practice was booked and as my medical problems are extensive I opted to be seen by Quinton. It was and continues to be one of the best choices I made having him be my PCP. He makes sure I get referrals to specialists as needed. He personally gets back to me with all test results promptly. He takes the time to answer my questions and explain things in a way a lay person can understand. I never feel rushed when I see him. I can not recommend him or praise him highly enough. He will admit to not knowing an answer to a question, but does research for an answer and does get back to me with answers. I could not ask for a better PCP, which in my opinion is the most crucial relationship in in overall medical care. My only criticism is it can sometimes be difficult to get an appointment on short notice.

I have used Dr. Weaver for years for my yearly gynecological examination. I have no problems with Dr. Weaver. However, his nurse failed two years in a row to call me my PAP smear results. I had to call the office and that is not right. Because of her I give the office an overall rating of "C".

Turns out the swelling was due to a bridge that had been put in my mouth by a dentist that and quot;forgotand quot; I was allergic to metal. However, I have been seeing Dr. Abkes for several years, as has been my daughter since 2010. The reason we are so pleased not only with the services but also the staff is because of my daughter. She is a special needs person-translation, mentally challenged. The ladies at the front office are always patient with her even when other patients are waiting. It takes my daughter a few extra minutes to process questions and provide answers, and they always respect her and treat her as if she is any other patient. I've seen them be as wonderful to elderly patients who also need a litle extra time-this shows their compassion as human beings, which you don't see often in a doctor's office. Dr. Abkes has had the same nurse since we became patients and she is wonderful-very thorough and doesn't skip over any details. But the main prize is Dr. Abkes himself. Again, my daughter is always treated with great respect and patience. Most doctors ignore her and tell me all the information necessary, but Dr. Abkes asks my daughter questions and looks right at her when providing the necessary information to address the issues. This has had an amazingly positive effect on my daughter so much so that whenever she has an issue he can possibly treat, she insists on seeing him over anyone else. His bedside manner is also great with me, and he has helped greatly with sinus issues I've had in the past. He is great at identifying issues and if he can't fix it will tell you and then offer suggestions as to who can help in the best possible manner. He is also the least invasive ENT I have encountered. My daughter and I have auto-immune diseases, and Dr. Abkes is always taking that into account when deciding what treatment would be the best in our individual situation. He doesn't spit out bookwork at you-explains every thing in a way a patient can understand and doesn't leave the room until he is positive we are both on the same page. I highly recommend Dr. Abkes, as you can see!

It took about eight months for the pain to subside completely. Now I don't even know it was broken. My only complaint is that they don't prescribe pain medication even if the paint is severe. Even after surgery they only give mild pain medication for ten days.

I know friends of hers. I am a friend of one of her friends. So we talked about her and her practice. I know where she goes to church. I appreciate the warmth and kindness in her practice. Everybody in there is just wonderful to deal with. She herself I have not really needed any particular care with her yet. We sat down and had a chat to check into the practice. I am a new patient. We just had a general talk. We did not even have a full exam and all. So, I have not yet used her for anything specific yet. We did do some adjustment to medicine and she is looking at me on what we need to modify like blood pressure and some other things and that is going fine. The office is clean and pleasant. The people working there are warm, responsive, and professional. They are just very comfortable for me to deal with. She is a family practice doctor. She is not a specialist. So, I trust that she is going to refer me out when she does not know what is going on or if she does not have the capability to deal with it. It is perfectly what I am looking for, somebody who can guide and give me options. She is just wonderful. She understood what we talked about. She communicated what the options might be and we agreed to a plan of action and began to put in place.
