They arrived when they said they would, did the work without issue after explaining everything and cleaned up afterwards. They were pleasant while in my house, wore shoe covers and straightened up everything they had to displace to do their work. Once installed they tested the equipment to be sure it worked properly. Price was reasonable for two to three men spending nearly six hours at my home.

I called and simply asked if they could give me a ballpark figure to install a "C" wire for my H/A unit to install a Wi-Fi thermostat. They will only give me an estimate if they made a house call for +$85. I asked if it would be in the $50, $200, $500, $1000 range, but they wouldn't give me even that much of an estimate without their visit, errr. fee. This kind of inflexibility doesn't bode well for good sense customer service in my opinion.

There was a little confusion over a fee but Danny helped to clear it up. The HVAC tech waived the service charge because I joined the service club but the plumber wouldn't do the same even though they're both Tim Ferguson employees. They were both nice and the job was completed in 6 hours.

It went okay until we started having problems that should have been covered by the warranty. After much investigation, we were told that the unit was never registered so instead of having 10 year warranty we only had a 2 year warranty. This company and the general contractor Rapid Response Restoration both accused the other in being at fault and both said it was not their job but the others job to fill out that little form and mail it in. Could cost me thousands within the next 8 years.

It was good. We have insurance on the house and that is who they sent out. It is always $60 a call. I don't know what they charge. They were here when they said they would be. They did fairly quick work and it was good work.

From the moment Susan answered the phone and said, "It's a great day at Tim Ferguson Plumbing, Air, and Electric!  How can we make your day great?" I knew there was something different about this company.   (I'm not sure if that was EXACTLY what she said, but something very similar to that.)
More than likely, when you call a plumbing, air, and electric company, you have something going on that probably isn't making your day great, but the way Susan answered the phone caused me to momentarily forget this.   I called about 8:05 and she said that they would have someone out to see me right away. It really was right away!  She said that the technician would call me when he was headed to my home, and sure enough, Albert called to do just that.
I'm not sure about you, but I always feel the need to watch over the shoulder of any repairmen/women to mentally document what they see, as if my untrained eye would be able to "catch" them trying to sell me snake oil.  Albert was very professional and went straight to work diagnosing the problem; it wasn't too long before I relaxed and didn't feel any need to hover.  Albert wasn't trying to figure out how to come up with a big problem in order to generate an expensive solution; he was simply trying to assess what was wrong and to do what was needed, nothing more, nothing less.
It turned out that my unit needed a part replaced.  It was under a manufacturer's warranty, so I didn't have to pay for the part, just the labor.  It wasn't too long before the part was delivered to the house so Albert could install it, and not too long after that before my AC was blowing cool air.
Before he did any of the work, he thoroughly explained the cost of the work so there would be no surprises at the end.  I also used the coupon they have on Angie's List to say 10% off the service fee - and that really helped a lot.
Did i want to wake up on a Monday, have no AC, and have to spend about $300 to have it fixed? No one would say "yes" to that; however, I can say that Tim Ferguson PAE made the experience as pleasurable as possible under the circumstances and I would recommend them to anyone who asked.

    Golden Rule Mechanical
Our heat would only come on intermittently and only after it would get very cold in the house. We have small kids and needed help fast. We called a friend of a friend from another company who came out and gave us an incorrect diagnosis after about five minutes at the house and recommended we replace the entire unit to the tune of about $5,000. Golden Rule was recommended to us so we gave him a call. He came out at night and on the weekends every time the heat went out to test the unit to see what it was doing. Long story short, it was an easy and cheap fix that has been working perfectly for the past several weeks. When they say and quot;Golden Ruleand quot; mechanical, they mean it. I will definitely be calling them back for any future HVAC needs.

We have an  17yo outdoor furnace/AC unit, and it was a little weak in heating the home this fall (like it couldn't get over 60deg), so we had it inspected, and found out it was shot... holes in the heat exchanger [CO], motors dying, the whole works pretty well kaput.
Ferguson's crew dispatched a great supervisor who sized up the situation and made a recommendation on the spot.   We're staying in the home, so we went with a SEER 13 Amana vs a seer 15  (same product but the Amana has a better warranty and stainless heat exchanger... a must for outdoor installs).   Looking on the web, the price was pretty good, and they tossed the cost of the inspection in for free, installed my automated thermostat for no charge, and also fixed some leaks in the supply ducts, put a new pad  for the unit, as well as updating the gas pipe feed line.  In all, there was no upcharging or nickel and diming...  One quote and it was done.
I probably could have shopped around, but the time and the headache probably wouldn't have been worth it compared to the team effort I got from Tim Ferguson's team.
The onsite team (Jared, Albert and Justin) did a great job, and had it all installed by end of the day.
Yesterday, I couldn't get the home above 55deg... today, it's 65 and solid and the unit is a lot quieter to boot.
The only issue we had was part of what we wanted to see was duct inspection and cleaning... We were promised over the phone that the inspection would happen and the cleaning would be done  if needed, but the technicians said that Ferguson has never done that work.   Jared responded immediately when we questioned that, and  promised to follow up with the office staff to clear up any misunderstandings about what duct cleaning is and isn't and that TFerguson doesn't do duct cleaning.  But that initial promise knocked down the overall rating.

They were very responsive and professional. The final price was higher than their quoted price but they were just estimating the amount of Freon it needed and it needed more than they thought.

The first crew that came out removed the old (and poorly designed and installed) ductwork. In doing so, they made additional problems for the installers later on by removing the boots from the registers. However, they were very friendly and professional, and were very careful ot to damage walls when carrying these big sections of ductwork out of the house. The installers, Freddy and Wayne, were top notch: They really knew their stuff, and they were hard workers. They were also a pleasure to have around the house because they were so kind and respectful. (One small complaint: Freddy and Wayne never wore the booties to cover their shoes when coming and going from outside; all other JHA personnel did.) The electrician and carpenter that came also did superior work. Though the work took longer than expected (largely due to errors in the tear-out phase), the price remained as quoted. Now our upstairs has been adequately and evenly cool since then, a first in four years in the house. Well done, fellas!
