Gaines Appliance Heating & Air Repair
He was awful. I requested that they should not send him back to my house. He was a subcontractor from another company that I use. The way that they work is if something is broken, you call the 1-800 number and  put in a service request. They will dispatch your request and a contractor listed in the area will call you to schedule an appointment. He called that night and scheduled an appointment. I took time off work but he didn't show up. He didn't call to cancel. The policy at the company I used to get him gives him  24 hours to respond. He called later on and said he would come, and I took time off work again. He didn't show up until after 5. He wouldn't respond to my calls when I called. I didn't want to go through extra expense because I was on warranty. He kept giving excuses for his work and charges.

Ray came in to check my washer out. the washer had water in it from a few days. he had to help scoop it out and helped to clean up the water on the floor. he was efficient and professional. He called promptly the next day to give me a quote on repair and opinion on repair. please note i have several big dogs and he just took them in stride- let me take time to put everyone outside so he could work

We purchased our appliances at Coffman's so that when we needed service we could get it at Coffman's as well. The thermal fuse needed to be replaced in the drier so I called Coffman's. A service tech came out the next day and within 10 minutes was able to replace the fuse and leave. Knowing that the cost of the fuse was about $11, I was surprised when I received a bill for $111. When I called the service department with my question I was told that an average service call was $70 and that it looked like the tech had added $20. I was told that sometimes the techs charge more for a complex or difficult job. The man said that the service tech would call me to discuss the bill (he never called). Three weeks later I went in the store to inquire. I was told that most service calls range from $70-90. To make amends the lady I talked to offered to split the $20 with me which reduced my bill to $100. Within an hour of leaving the store the original service tech called me. Interesting.

    MEDON APPLIANCE REPAIR
Came into my house to check on a double oven. Walked in, punched some buttons for 15 minutes, and then told me if he stayed anymore it would be more money.
Wanted payment after that, and was too high.
Found a better guy on craiglist, is over half what this company wanted. Does better work too.

    Butler Appliance Service
i called him because my 9 year old amana dryer made a clunk sound then wouldn't turn at all.  i called him at 8:30 amon friday and he was there by 9:30.   he was already going to be in the area so he stopped by. he was very efficient, knowledgeable and efficient.  He looked over my dryer and very quickly was able to tell me the motor was locked up.  he did give me a quote of $225 to put a new motor in and put the dryer back together.  He then told me that with the age of the dryer he would just recommend a new dryer.    i asked him how much and he didnt' charge me since he was in the area already.
this was a great experience (even though i have to buy a new dryer :-( )         i would highly recommend this company

    Bill's Appliance Inc
He was prompt, professional, friendly.  At the time that he came out, I also had a dishwasher rack that was sticking and asked him if it was something he could do as well.  He said yes, ordered the part and it was done with no problem.
