    Chattanooga Septic Systems
I hired Michael Davenport with TN Valley Excavation (currently CHATTANOOGA SEPTIC SYSTEMS) to install new field lines for my septic and thought he did a good job. However, half of the piping is the wrong size, and nothing is draining properly. Michael has repeatedly promised to fix it but has never followed through. This was almost exactly a year ago, and Ive had nothing but trouble with our septic during light and heavy rain. I have three young children and we cannot use our ONE toilet for several days after it rains. I cant let them play outside because of this giant pit of water and its only worsening. The gray water has also been backing up underneath the house and I am greatly concerned about the foundation being damaged. Michael will not return phone calls/messages, and the only way to reach him is to call from a number that he does not recognize. He answered his phone two weeks ago and assured us that he would come back out to do the job correctly and for free, but he never showed nor called. Mr. Davenport surprisingly answered his phone today and assured us, yet again, that he would come out, but, YET AGAIN, Michael was a no call, no show. We have been more than nice and patient with Michael Davenport, but considering we must now come up with thousands of dollars for new field lines AGAIN, and possible foundation/crawl space damages, it has become my priority to warn others of his unprofessional and costly business practices. I absolutely do NOT recommend his services, or the services of any company associated with Michael Davenport. Spend the extra money and go with a reputable company that IS LICENSED AND BONDED.

    Rooter-Man
They came out in a timely manner, and was able to work with our schedule. We did have a second company there fixing our field lines while Rooter-Man pumped. While they were pumping my husband noticed a crack in the tank. We know they did not cause it, but I asked them to verify if that was for sure a crack in our tank. The first response I got was "are you talking to me?", So I said yeah. Then he asked "that crack in the corner?" And I said I didn't notice it cracked all the way over there. Then I asked how to get it fixed and he just kind of ignored my question and tried to not discuss it saying he didn't cause it. I was going to pay them to fix it if that was possible but I guess he wasn't as interested in my money as he was in not getting blamed for the crack even though I clearly knew they did not cause the damage I just wanted it fixed. The very little conversation I had with them was unpleasant. When they stopped they did not rinse it out and pump more like most companies I've heard of and to me it looked like they could have pumped more out. I overheard the guy say their tank was full so I'm pretty sure that's why they stopped. I just feel they were unprofessional and a bit rude and I probably won't hire them again. They also left some sewage in my yard and driveway that came out of their hose.

    A Drain Doctor Plumbing LLC
They never showed up. The first day I paid them $150 just for him to come and talk to me about what was going on and to give me a quote. I was ok with that because he came from a distance just to do so and gave me a great quote compared to other companies. He was also very informative and answered all my questions. We scheduled them for a Friday (yesterday) and my husband took off work so he could be here (lost money on his paycheck for that). They rescheduled for the next day (today) due to a car wreck on the highway that caused them not to be able to make it. My husband again passed up making money so he could be here for them. Friday evening they emailed me to verify the appointment time for the next day and the price we originally discussed. I responded and confirmed. The next day (today) they never showed. They never even contacted me to let me know they couldn't make it. I still have not heard from them. I emailed them and they never responded. I called and they never answered. As far as I'm concerned, I think he just wanted the $150 for doing no work and decided to take up a better offer that would make them more money instead of fixing our pipes.

    Oliver Plumbing & Septic Systems
We had an emergency call with the septic backing up in the yard.  Mr. Oliver was very responsive and came as fast as he could to inspect, then scheduled the repair right away.  He was courteous and professional.

    Metro Sewer and Plumbing
On April 24, 2014 I had property damage to my windshield. After about two and a half weeks of waiting and leaving messages for the owner, I was beginning to feel that I would not receive a return phone call. On day nineteen, I pulled out the Police Incident Report and used the information to report my damage to Metro Sewer and Drain?s insurance company on my own, within a couple of hours I had a claim number.  Yes, I  then received my awaited phone call leaving me feeling talked down to! Livid, I immediately told them I would no longer communicate with them, but would only communicate with their insurance company. "Overall, my experience with Metro Sewer and Drain was negative, I have a windshield appointment with a glass company, it has certainly been an experience to remember, an experience with Metro Sewer and Drain that I never hope to repeat and would not wish upon anyone else. If anyone has any questions, leave a comment to my review and I'll get back to you.

    South East Total Service
After paying for the free estimate, I decided to shop around.  I found their price to be almost double of the lowest bidder and at least $1500 higher than the service I used.  When I told them I was going with someone else because of their price, they magically adjusted their price by $700 and offered to roll the cost of the free estimate ($82.00) into the cost of the work.
If they could have done it for that price they should have offered it at first.  Either way their price was way out of range.
They may be great plumbers but I will never find out.  I should have know when they pulled the $82.00 free estimate game.

    Oliver Plumbing & Septic Systems
I contacted Mr. Oliver regarding connecting our home to the sewer.  He came to our home within a week to review our situation, and within a couple of days he provided us an estimate for completion of the the work, with an estimated start date.  Due to a couple of issues (lots of rain in our area and an unexpected stay in the hospital) he was a little late starting the job.  Our job was not an emergency so the delay was not a problem.  Once the job started, Mr. Oliver worked efficiently to get the job finished.  He stayed late one evening to resolve an unexpected problem, and he kept me informed of the status of the job as it progressed.  He worked hard to resolve the problem in a  way that allowed the job to proceed and saved us money.  We were pleased with the quality of his work, and impressed by Mr. Oliver's professionalism while on the job.

    Oliver Plumbing & Septic Systems
Approx. 2 years ago a field line broke and had someone come & fix it but at the time of them fixing we were not home (working ) that was a big mistake on our part . They said they fixed the line, pumped out the septic tank too & we saw that it was dug up and racked over . We notice our yard was wet in certain area's , then over time it turned into a little water fall being on a hill .Did not call back that company , figured they would just do the same again , nothing ! So we called around and had 4 companies come & gave us a price on fixing it , started at lowest $ 2000.00 - high of almost $3000.00 . Well the one we choosed did not show up , the other we tried to call and left many messages , gave up .Then I saw Angie's list , join it and found the Ernest A. Oliver . Read his review and thought we would give him a call and he came out the next day , looked at the mess we had out in our backyard and quoted us a price of $800.00 - $2000.00 but was not for sure what damages were underground until he digs it up . He brought over his trackhoe and the next day he was digging a trench , found where it was broken and all the goop that was all with it .  Went & got all he needed to fix it . He said he needs to pump out septic tank after seeing thick goop . He used trackhoe to break up top soil and dug up until they got to concret top and used a chain attached to hoe to lift top off and my husband & I could not believe that it was thick of goop , I even knew by looking it was never pumped out from two years ago .Plus what Oliver used to loosen dirt ,dug only the size of concret slab big square area, no way did we see that 2 years ago when dirt was put back . It looked like a spot on the lawn the size of a coffin . Mr. Oliver  pumped out tank & used garden hose to rinse . Packed the dirt back on top of tank and in backyard trench. My lawn is more level now front & backyard . He was very honest with us , did a great job and most of all gave us a great price of $1200.00 .Agreement was written out and is guaranteed to be free of any defects in material & workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of installation & signed .I'm so thankful that we joined Angie's list and so ,so thankful we found Oliver's Plumbing on that list .He will be the one we call on !  Thank you Oliver 's Plumbing

    Oliver Plumbing & Septic Systems
I moved into the house about a year ago and felt that the tank should be pumped and checked since I had no idea when it was previously done.  I called for a quote on Monday afternoon, and he came out the next day to do the work.  He offered the best price that I had heard out of the five companies that I had called.  He also has a complaint free A+ rating with the BBB.
The only reason I put a B instead of an A on "punctuality" is that he did not call to update me with a new arrival time. He said he would be there around 9 or 10 AM Tuesday.  Since he hadn't called by 10:45, I called him.  He said he was on his way and would be there a little before 12.  When I got home at 12:05, he was finishing up.  Actually "B" is a bit harsh.  I'd rather give him an A minus in that category.
He is an honest and friendly guy and did good work.   He does this job as a retirement job as well as other plumbing services.
I would definitely use Oliver Plumbing again.
