    Tim Stover construction Company
Tim is a great guy. He does what he says and pays attention and really cares about the final product...not just the money. He keeps a small crew and like it that way.  He may take a little longer but was there every day(all day) and made sure his work was right. He is a craftsman not a pneumatic nailing technician with no visa.  If you want it framed in 3 months and 30 people on the site who really don't care if you have issues 3-5 years later than go for the companies with all the fancy marketing. Tim actually answers his phone, calls you back and  get this, takes pride in his work.
Most people want to know about costs, bang for the buck, no one compares and trust me we interviewed at least 15 builders before we chose Tim. Look out for the companies with the BIG overhead! You will pay for them and still be stuck with something that has nice curb appeal but is a joke when it comes to build quality. Yes, it will be code but code is barely minimal and if you know anything about construction you would make certain everything is done way above code.
Bottom line if you are wanting a remodel or to build, talk with him, wait for him(even
if it's months) and get a finished product you won't be dealing with for
    years to come.

    CCD Construction
The insurance company recommended him. He came out and said there was no hail damage but there was leakage. Which made this not an insurance claim. It took 6 months to take care of the project. He continued to say that his guys would be there on a specific day but it may have been 3-4 weeks before they got there. He was the general contractor on the job, and said that he was not responsible for any of his subs on the job. They started to lay the metal roof over the shingles that were already there, which is not supposed to be done this way. GAF wouldn't honor the warranty the way that they were going to lay it. So they had to take their progress down at that point. Which made for a longer process. The job is still not completed because the skylight that was removed is not repaired on the inside, which to me is part of the R & R( remove and replace). He wants to come give another estimate for this portion.

    J Brewer and Associates
J Brewer & Associates installed a basement bath and drywall in a basement room, requiring removal of a steel support post and replacement with heavy lumber supports so that a doorway could be relocated.  Additionally, they hung 10 doors (10) for this project. The bathroom was a joint effort in that my husband and I selected, purchased, and staged almost all of the material other than standard trim, drywall, etc.  (Thus the price shown was primarily labor.) Additionally, my husband installed and wired the lighting and switches, though the J Brewer crew pulled in the necessary wiring where walls and drywall were installed.  The fellow in charge of the job, who did most of it, was an outstanding framer.  We were totally amazed at the replacement of the support post with framing lumber !  He also did a superb job on the plumbing, shower installation (the wall had to be squared for that one!), toilet installation, and sink/faucet installation.  My husband said "I wish I knew at your age what you know how to do!"  (He is very young - about 30.)  He was an extremely fine young man, very polite, on time, agreeable, and willing to tackle any problem.  My husband thought very highly also of the young man who installed the floor tile, and  more specifically, the man who hung the doors.  (Note that my husband is a perfectionist!)  We were very pleased with the drywall work.  They cleaned up everything very well as the job progressed and after the job was complete.  With the joint effort involved, there was some back and forth  negotiations and defining details on the contract, e.g., who would do exactly what with regard to electrical, especially.  These contracts tend to be fairly general and I do advise anyone using any contractor doing modifications or additions to carefully think about all the interfaces and make sure they are handled in the contract so there is no misunderstanding about what services will be performed for the price quoted.  J Brewer was very good to work with on defining details of the contract.

    Highpoint Construction LLC
Highpoint Construction LLC was great to work with, his price was way more reasonable then anybody I ever got and he was very good. I am beyond pleased with his work. He was very professional, came back quickly with an estimate and worked with me really well when I was changing my estimates and how I wanted it and he offered me some really excellent strategies to do some expensive things cheaply, like I wanted to use spray foam insulation because I knew it was a lot better but I didn't know how much it would cost. It costs 10 times more than regular insulation but he came up with a way to do it, where he would just spray foam on one level so it seals all the cracks and gives you a lot of the benefits of the spray foam and then he put normal insulation on the roof. He also worked well with me on the flooring and we wanted to put tile floors and then I started thinking about just pouring one big slab and have a concrete finished floor and he worked with me on that and it looks awesome. He ended?up helping me out on digging out a cellar under it and there was some permit issues because it was in a flood zone and we got all those worked out and the concrete slab looks great. He did a great job and was constantly willing to entertain my changes, he did warn me about anything that didn't make sense and it was like working with a friend who was looking out for you. I was very concerned because his price was much lower than the other bigger companies that I had gone to but his job turned out be very good.

I decided to go with a metal roof vs. shingles - roof looks great. However, I cannot verify if the old shingles were actually removed (2-layers) or if they just dropped the new on top of the old. Since it took less than half a day I suspect the latter since I was not home during installation.Second, the vinyl siding they replaced looks great, I am happy with the siding. My only comment on the siding is the piece they removed from under an outside door and never replaced. Just left the insulation board showing - I repeatedly asked the contractor to get it fixed and was always told - yes, we'll get that replaced. Now five months later after everything is complete I asked one last time - what I got was a block of wood stuck in the hole, I think it looks awful. When I sent the contractor an email (twice) complaining of their "fix" I haven't received any reply and sure that I won't.Third, I also got new shutters put on the outside windows. It took about three months for the shutters I did get to arrive. I asked for three windows in front, two windows on each side for a total of seven windows. What I got was two windows on the front and about a month later the third window. I never did shutters for the two sides so I finally ordered the same exact shutters from Home Depot for half the price of what I was charged for the front and paid a very nice fellow to install them for me on my own. This was the last items the contractor had to install and by this time I had become quite tired of dealing with the whole situation and just let it go. I paid $178 for four windows at Home Depot and he charged me $375 for two windows.Lastly, the kitchen flooring that I replaced: Installers was going to put new vinyl on top of the laminate that was damaged. I was there to supervise and made them take up the laminate before laying new flooring. Since the house is older there were some old tiles under the laminate that were broken - some removed, some not. Now I have these uneven tiles under my new laminate and a very bumpy uneven floor. Seems like there would be something they could have put down to "even" it out before putting down the new vinyl. Well, I still need to get someone to correct that issue. And for the final word, the concrete work and tree removal went fine- no complaints there.

    TJ Construction
He was excellent. He was very honest and if there was something. We just had our mothers bathroom remodeled and we asked him to install a heater for her. He was not happy with some of the previous contractors had done the electrical wiring. He took it upon himself to do rewire it and said that he was just not comfortable with it, so he is a perfectionist, but he is also very fair in pricing and always provides receipts for the materials. We would not consider using anyone else.

    Polly P Brooks and Company
She did exactly what she said she would do. She was on time, did a very detailed inspection of the work required, researched the design elements from the manufacturer and spoke with the local representative. She was embarrassed to charge a house call fee in order to do an estimate, but she spent a great deal of time and effort to get exactly the correct information to advise us. After making numerous calls to other kitchen renovators, HVAC businesses and sub-contractors I was very pleased that she actually returned the phone call and arrived when she said she would. She is experienced, professional and honest with her opinions. We will definitely use her to do the work as soon as we can finish our other project.

I have not decided who I'm going to use. The number one reason I would use them is because of the quality of the homes that they build and the second reason is the price. They are very outstanding.
