    Mr. Appliance of Chattanooga
First repaired blown fuse but stove failed again that night. Repairman returned next day and discovered exhaust fan was going bad. Part was ordered and installed two days later. Only other charge was for new fan. There were no additional diagnostic or labor charges beyond the first visit to replace fuse.

When I made the appointment I specifically told the person on the phone what appliances I had and what was wrong. she even took the model numbers so they new exactly what machines were involved. Two men showed up for the appointment looked at the machines for a minute and said they would be right back they had to contact the office, got in the truck and disappeared. Later I called the office to find out what was going on and I was told she would find out and let me know. Never heard from anyone again. This is totally unprofessional and inconsiderate since I arranged my schedule to be home that entire morning.

Based on the symptoms and after disassembling part of the dishwasher, he was able to quickly diagnose the problem. Unfortunately, though he was willing and able to repair it, he advised that the repair cost exceeded the machine's worth.

    Scenic City Plumbing
Scenic City Plumbing was a pleasure to work with from the first phone call until the job was done. The two men who came out were prompt, friendly and professional. They installed a new sink and a new garbage disposal on new countertops. I chose to save my old faucet and it was no problem for them to reinstall it. The cost was what I expected (plumbing jobs are never cheap!)  and I was able to use their $20 Angie's List coupon that I printed out and gave to them. I will definitely call Scenic City Plumbing for any of my future needs.

He thought it was the control board but called back after consulting with someone and suggested we call someone else who could talk with the manufacturer. He was professional and didn't charge us a service call since he didn't fix it.

On Wednesday night, we noticed the refrigerator compartment of our fridge was no longer cooling but the freezer side was working. Thursday morning, I called Mike @ Scenic City Appliance Service after I read all the good reviews on Angie's List. He was able to come out within a couple of hours and quickly diagnosed the problem. He had the part with him to repair it, and within an hour our refrigerator was back in perfect working order. He was so professional and quickly got the job done, and he also put our minds at ease since we were worried we would have to buy a new refrigerator. I would highly recommend Mike to anyone who needs appliance repair. He's awesome!

Everything was very satisfactory. Mike also called a wholesale appliance dealer and had them put aside a part we needed that we could install ourselves saving several dollars. He was very neat.

I called several places recommended to me that day my washer quit with a load of clothes in mid cycle full of water. He answered, said he could come over 20 mins, was punctual, tried several things, took control panel down, showed me the breakage, replaced control panel and has worked ever since. I would use him again and highly recommend. It was Fri afternoon and no one else was willing to come until the next week. He placed me in between two others he was going to in my area. I got him off Angie's List!!

I called on Monday afternoon.  The repairman came next morning at 9:00.  He showed up exactly when he said he would be there.  He quickly diagnosed the problem & put in a new switch.  We also asked him to put new hoses in.  He was very professional, prompt, & did the work in a timely manner.

Approximately three months ago we hired Jerry McKaig at Volunteer Appliance to replace a damaged door gasket. (This was after I contacted Whirlpool for a warranty repair. Whirlpool declined to help us even though we had spent almost $3,000.00 for the Symphony washer and dryer with pedestals. Our warranty had expired one week earlier. But then that's another story.) I went to an appliance parts store, bought the gasket for $165.00, and then contacted McKaig to install it. He came out when he said and he and his son installed it. I inspected their work and saw where the gasket was not looped over a ring inside the washer. He said that is the way it fits and indicted maybe I should not question his work. I said no more. For the next couple of months we were constantly having to dry the inside of the gasket after each use. The water which drained from the inside of the door was not draining back into the washer's tub. The gasket weep holes were not lined up for the water to drain into the washer's tub. It would not leak, however, if we did not dry the gasket, mold would form within 24 hours. I finally had all I could handle, called Volunteer and explained the situation, AFTER, I called Whirlpool repair, explained it to them, and was told, yes, it was not unstalled correctly. Mr. McKaig told me it was in correctly and if I wanted it fixed to call Whirlpool and have them fix it. He then hung up on me. I called Whirlpool back just to make sure they understood what I was talking about. They understood exactly. They suggested going by one of thrie retailers and look at their floor models. I went by Sears and Lowes and looked at the identical washer. THE GASKET WAS NOT INSTALLED CORRECTLY? I again called Mr. McKaig at Volunteer Appliance and tried to tell him what I found out. This man was rude, insulting, and crude. He hung up on again. End of story.
