  • We had a line that get cut by a gentleman doing our landscaping so we had to contact them to come and get that repaired and it was repaired within 24 hours. I'd give them an A. I will stick with them.

  • I knew my modem was fine. Got a local tech to install a new router. When he came with the new router, he told me I did not need a new router that mine was fine. He was honest enough to not sell me something I did not need. He charged $15 for a service call which I thought was very reasonable, especially since he was not making a sale.

  • I was still having problems and although the local technicians and employees at the local office are great, the National telephone support is horrible.  Most of the support people speak in broken English (I have a hearing loss and foreign dialects are hard for me to understand). The call takers go by a decision tree to provide answers while they do not have any real technical expertise. At Xfinity/Comcast there is no technical expertise until you get to the second tier of support. Also do not ask to speak to a supervisor to get to second level of support as the call takers are not allowed to let you talk to a supervisor. This being said, I did the trouble shooting myself and discovered the interior cable wiring in my house was causing the problems.  I replaced the interior cable with a new higher grade cable and fixed the issue myself.  Xfinity/Comcast has the potential to be great, but upper management decisions about customer support policies seems to drag the company down.  Before Xfinity/Comcast I had Sprint/CenturyLink DSL and after 6 months of horrible service I gave up and although Xfinity/Comcast is not great they are much better than the DSL provider.
