    Irish Hardscapes, LLC
The owner Eamonn showed up on time for the estimate appointment (which is half the battle with contractors). I hired him for the job the following day. He worked 8 to 10 hours a day, 6 sometime 7 days a week till the job was done. He kept me well informed of each step as the work progressed. Eamoon completed all the work he was hired to do. I am 100% satisfied with his work and craftsmanship and would highly recommend him.

    Breezy Creek Landscaping & Construction
The project started with a picture from a magazine. Greg was able to take that idea and work it into a plan for our space, plus incorporating some other features we wanted. The results are 10 times better than the magazine! Workmanship is top notch. The paver patio is smooth and even, and the block wall and pergola perfect. Greg was responsive to any questions/concerns we had along the way, and we never had to wait long for a reply to a call. The crew was good about picking up before leaving. Completion took longer than we guessed it might, but material delays and bad weather were mostly to blame and couldn't be planned. The end result looks amazing! There will be minimal maintenance and maximum enjoyment of the space. And yes, we'd highly recommend Greg and Breezy Creek. The only problem is now the neighbors are envious.

    The Tree Trimmer
After 2 visits and many texts and calls over about 5 months they never came and did the job they said they would do. They said they had many good reviews and were some of the best but failed to show that in their timeliness. They did not seem eager to do this job which was a pretty big job.

    Youngs Small Engine Repair
Dropped it off around Feb/March. It's August and I still haven't heard from them. I left them voicemails in May and June. They never called me back. I haven't been able to reach them via phone and the voicemail is full now. Seems like they don't have any intention on fixing or returning my mower.

Our lawn looks as good as our neighbors lawns who use other companys services. I like that they call and tell us when they are coming out. I don't like when they raise the rate without notifying us first.

Jim is an excellent person, honest and open about the work that should be completed. He let me make the decision about what work should be done but gave me a few options that were clearly described. His attention to detail is terrific and his crew just as professional and friendly. I am extremely happy with his work and the clean up that they did. I would strongly recommend him.

    The Tree Trimmer
Because of the big storm I knew he was extremely busy and did not expect that he would be able to do the job quickly. But due to the potential problem these trees posed we was able to get the job done within a couple weeks after a couple followup phone calls. Due to the volume of work I believe he subcontracted the job to another company. Initially I was concerned that the job would not be done as well as previous work by Jim's crew. However, they did a great job. Jim also called that evening to follow up to make sure that everything was done to our satisfaction.

    A Cut AboveLawncare and Landscaping
From the very first, Todd, the owner, came out and looked around the place. A prompt complete and detailed bid came in far less than others had quoted. This was a new house for us and we needed someone reliable. Even though we are only a few months into the summer at this point his crew has been great. They go the extra mile with weeding the gravel areas and trimming back bushes. Quick, clean and effective I give them my recommendation without reservation.

    EVERGREEN OF JOHNSON CITY
Purchased a 30 gallon, $499 maple tree and scheduled it for planting.  A very large tree.  Told that planting it would cost more than the tree as it was a major undertaking performed by professionals.  I would be billed on completion.  After the tree had leafed out it was brought to my home and the digging commenced.  Shortly, I saw that the two men were attempting to get it into a hole in the ground that was clearly too small and that it wouldn't fit.  I asked the lead man why it wasn't being planted in a hole twice the size of it's root ball, as is standard practice.  He said "Do you change the oil in your car every three thousand miles?".  His helper said "mulch hides anything".  The tree was planted with about two inches to spare around and 4-6 inches protruding above ground.  I told them that it looked bad and went in the house.

The next morning I went to their office and told them exactly what I said here.  I was soon surrounded by the crew that did the work and an angry production manager ridiculing the very notion of making a 6 foot hole for a 3 foot root ball.   I told them that that is precisely how their own web site ([*** Link removed ***] says to plant a tree.  A 6' hole for a 3' root ball only leaves 18" of transition soil around it and is perfectly standard and reasonable.  He said their web site was wrong and he would fix the web page and the tree was guaranteed.  I told him that the fact that they are guaranteeing the tree is irrelevant.  It's a tree not a tomato plant and a poorly planted tree may take years to die or simply never thrive.  Additionally, after one year, the customer is liable for the labor cost to replant, which exceeds the cost of a tree.  I told them I absolutely would not pay and to get it out of my yard.  They did.  However, they have dragged their feet refunding my $500 deposit and have been arrogant, confrontational and dismissive.

If you hire this company, educate yourself before they arrive and keep an eye on them.

    Professional Tree Experts
We were extremely satisfied with Shane's work - very professional, very efficient and at a fair price.  These guys are clearly very experienced at doing this kind of work.  From the initial consultation, to the actual work, and even with the scope change in between, Shane is very professional, responsive, and adaptable.  We most definitely will be using this company again - they are our "go to" tree service!
