    David Odum Drywall
,At the end of day two, he announced that the guest bedroom was completed, the kitchen ceiling stripped and primed and ready to be textured in the morning.
After he left my wife and I went in to look at the completed room.  He had applied one coat of paint where two was clearly needed.  They did not remove the ceiling fan base and when they removed the tape, they took some of the ceiling with it.There were pieces of tape stuck in paint and plaster around the edges of my ceiling.  The joint tape around the edge of the room was clearly visible under the texture and the edges all the way around the ceiling were a mess.  Neither textured nor smooth and looking pretty awful.
We went to our beautiful, newly remodeled kitchen.  There were now deep grooves, lumps and patches of old popcorn ceiling material all over the ceiling.  It had all been primed over to be sprayed with texture in the morning.  We were very upset.
I called him, told him there was a family issue and to please come get his gear in the morning.
I have decided to do the work myself.

Marie and her crew did a wonderful job! They go over and beyond to make everything go well! They go over ever wall with a fine tooth comb to make sure they have fixed any nail pop, cracks or bad spots in drywall. We are very particular but we didn't have anything to worry about because Maria is just as particular if not more particular! Everything looked beautiful when they were done! They do such a great job keeping there work area clean. Maria is so respectful, even though they are going to be there a few days she realizes you are living there and they clean up everyday before they leave. Maria and her crew are all very professional and pleasant to be around. We enjoyed having them in our home! We will definitely be using Arta Bella in the future! Thank you Arta Bella!

The owner has a propensity for not showing up, rescheduling or being late.  Sometimes, really late.  Her workmen are quite prompt and work like the dickens.
I was very excited to have this job done by this company.  My original intent was to hire this company to remove the popcorn in two old and worn out bathrooms that we are remodeling, in a recently purchased home.  After which, I would prepare the walls, texture them with knock-down or an orange peal effect and paint with a durable semi-gloss.  I conveyed this plan to Maria.
She shook her head and explained that such a plan would only cheapen my home and detract from it's value.  Her painters and drywall people she said, would bring the walls and ceilings to a condition "better than new construction!".  I was incredulous!  She said her people would remove my ceiling in such a manner as to prevent any dust from invading my duct work or home.  It was very complex and rather expensive.  They would take a 100 watt light bulb and go over the walls , inch by inch, removing every imperfection.  The walls would be perfectly flat and painted with an excellent eggshell, self leveling, and expensive paint.
The price $2100.  That seemed a little high for a couple of modest bathrooms in a 1600 SF living area, home..  But, what the heck, it was going to be like new construction!  I was excited and ready to go.
The crew showed up on time, (very nice people) wired a socket to the capped vanity light wires and asked me if I had a spare light bulb or two.  I did.  They performed pretty much all of the work with a single, 60 watt bulb in each room.  Turns out, removing the popcorn wasn't really all that difficult or complex.  They sprayed it with some water and scrapped it off into a container.  Couple of hours, lot of money.
In the end, my walls aren't "like new construction".  They look like some regular fellows with a bit of plaster and paint showed up and did a regular paint job on an old worn out bathroom.  And, the eggshell paint it turns out, will take on a black mark the color of pencil lead if any hard object comes into contact with it.
They offered to come back to fix any issues.  However, there are so many issues and it's so removed from what I was told it would be that it upsets me to even think about asking them to come back.
Finally, and unsettling, although all our conversations had been very pleasant, on the day the job was done, Maria was not just on time but she brought an older man with her.  And, there was no "Have a sparkling day!", when she took my check and left.
In a year or two, I will prep the walls, apply a nice knockdown or orange peal texture and paint with a nice durable semi-gloss.

I am remoldeling a house and it had the popcorn ceiling, I scraped it all myself and Don come in and stomped it all plus fixing the edges where it needed. I also hung drywall myself in the basement (lets say it wasnt professional looking) but Don didnt complain, he went in and fixed all my mistakes and stomped that ceiling as well. Don was very good to work with. He always answered his phone or text. He showed up on time with a crew to perform the work. Will use again in the future.

All went well and was done in a prompt manor. They were able to save things from damage that were important to our family. We were very pleased. They handled the insurance company so we did not have to. I would definitely recommend again.

The very professional personnel were on time, perpared the areas with tarps and plastic to mimimize affects on other areas.  Clean up was completed at the endo of each day.
Knowledge of the owner and the field personnel in their fields were the best that I have found.  I will be using Arte Bella again.

I was very fortunate to find
Clay on Angieslist. Both he and his assistant Chris were friendly,
very professional, and courteous. Although they are in Boone, NC,
they service a wide area and I am grateful they were willing to drive
1 ½ hours to provide their service.
They began work the moment they arrived and worked for about 4 ¼ hours without taking breaks
until everything was completed. I don't think they even had lunch.
Even before they arrived, Clay had given me an estimate of the labor
cost, and once they determined what parts were needed, they purchased
them locally and provided the receipt. They performed the following
    services:
    I cannot stress enough how
pleased I was with their work, professionalism, honesty, and
integrity. I highly recommend them and would not hesitate to call on
their services when needed in the future.

    Allied Drywall
Allied Drywall was the top rated company on Angie's List in this area with numerous positive reviews, so I contacted them for a quotation.  Don Schmoltz came over the next day, surveyed the job, and provided a fair price on the spot, which I accepted.  Within a few days the hanging crew came over and completed their work within less than a day.  The very next day Don and Kevin came in and completed the initial taping and mudding, left it to dry for a few more days, then finished the job with one round of sanding and mudding, and one round of sanding.  Their work was excellent, with all joints, nail heads, and screw heads finished properly and very smoothly, ready for priming, and with all cutouts clean and proper.  I would certainly hire them again for our next round of remodeling in another year or two.

Satisfactory results but price ended up higher than estimate, although he kept us in the loop as to what additional work was needed to complete the job so we approved the higher cost.
