    BHC Concrete Construction
Everything was as promised. Brian worked with me on the price and was very responsive. He even quickly replied to an email question 3 months later. The workers were polite and cleaned up after themselves. I was very pleased with everything from beginning to end. I would definitely call Brian again.

    Hertz Asphalt and Concrete Services
Hertz was recommended by a co-worker who had no issues with their work. However, this was by far the worst experience I've ever had with a contractor. Do I have a 42x52 concrete pad? Yes. Were there any issues during the job? Absolutely. Let me describe them... The contractor's bobcat ran into the brick foundation which caused about an 8' x 4' hole of brick that had to be replaced. The contractor did make the repairs very quickly. The crew left pop cans, parts of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, nails, a sawzall blade, cigarette butts, and various other trash items scattered throughout my yard. They used some of my spare 1x6 deck boards to frame the pad without my permission and then left them caked with cement and nails when they put them back. They used one of my plastic trash cans as a work bench which is now scratched and cracked. There was blood smeared on my vinyl siding. One of the workers solicited my father to clean his car headlight covers. Workers entered my personal vehicles behind my garage without permission. Care was not taken to protect my personal property and thus cement was splattered on my garage doors, my RV, my brick foundation, an existing sidewalk, and solar lights. The cement truck cleaned out his chute in my gravel drive three times in three different places. The contractor told me afterwards that they have to do this, that they cannot clean out the chute off the property. Had I known this I would have given them a designated place to do this clean up work. Care was not taken when the cement truck came in and it stretched the Comcast cable line from the pole to my house. The crew came back later and re-tightened it. One of the workers urinated in my neighbor's yard as she was looking out the window. My neighbors could hear the vulgar language being used by the workers (lots of yelling and profanity); I witnessed this first hand as well. The quality of the driveway pad leaves a lot to be desired. The framing work was terrible. The finishing work was terrible (i.e. they saw a leaf in the concrete and brushed right over it instead of picking it out). The pad is wavy and the sectioning lines are crooked. The crew came back out to try and clean these up but crooked is crooked. There was no leveling done, no chalk lines to plumb the sectioning lines or the framing. The contractor was supposed to put in some kind of trough to help water flow away from my garage doors. He failed to do this during the job but came back and tried to do this after the fact. The quality of that work is an embarrassment.
The salesman and the owner of the company (the owner was present during the entire job) were both made aware of the above observations. They felt the work was top quality and took pictures to advertise this job on their website. Neither one of them offered an apology for anything that happened during this ordeal but instead made excuses and made statements like "well, that's just the workforce we have to choose from these days." I have many other complaints about this job but I'm tired of typing and wasting any additional energy on this issue.
With very little additional effort and a bit more respect for my property, this job could have been done so much better. I have two additional concrete pads to do and they knew this additional business was a possibility. I will not be using them for any additional work.

    One Call Home Team LLC
They completed a 3 car car port attached to our existing house.
They poured a concrete pad for the car port plus  40 ft of curb enhancing sidewalk.
They added a bedroom and a bonus room above the car port. This bonus room is our new theater room.  They mounted the large flat screen tv, and installed theater seating, with the electric outlet in the floor.  To that room they build a deck. They also build a deck off of a lower level room that was our theater room now converted to an office.
While here, they completed items on a home inspection (painting, plumbing, electric, carpet installation, tile floor repair, etc) we needed in order to make the home ready for sale. This $50K has added over $100K to my equity!
It looks great.  Lots of good feedback from the realtors too! Can't wait for a full price offer and I know I will have One Call Home Team to thank.

and is reasonable as well. We highly recommend him because of his quality of work, honesty, and just a really nice guy! I forgot to mention he replaced part of the sidewalk due to cracking and sinking. It looks great also. Thank you Jason for the great work you did for us. Bob and Sandra White

    Concrete Express
Concrete Express did a fantastic job pouring a concrete driveway. The job was difficult but they did a great job and were very easy to work with. They did everything they said they would do and took extra care to make sure it was done right.

Ted Wyler and his crew did my driveway expansion in October of this year.  I was so impressed with them, that I suggested to my current contractor that I would rather have Ted Wyler and his crew finish the work that the sloppy contractor had started.  At least then I knew it would be done right.
I called Ted and asked him if he would be interested in taking over the job.  He was very happy to do so... even to the extent that he might not make the same profit he was used to making, b/c the amount paid on the job was determined by the Contractor.  Since the contractor was (let's say) "less than honorable"... he of course shorted me on the amount paid to do the job.  But Ted actually said he didn't mind, because he couldn't stand the thought of him butchering the rest of the driveway.
Ted put extra time and attention into the job so that the existing drive and the new drive matched well, and he even drilled holes into the edge of the existing drive and placed steel rebar dowels to "join" the two pieces of concrete.  He also placed a significant amount of steel on the edges of the concrete, since that is where it usually cracks.  I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality and cost of the work.  They went way above and beyond the call.
Ted and his crew were punctual... they came early and worked late.  They were well prepared, and had all of the correct materials, including extra long water hoses, and large lights for working after dark.  In fact... they actually came the day before the pour and left a lot of material on site so that it would be there the next day, and wouldn't cause delay in getting the pour started the next day.
These guys are the real deal... and the cost will surprise you.  It did me!
Ted Wyler also does pools at Riverwood Pools... So, don't think for a minute that he won't be my first call next year when I think about a pool install.

If you are not one that reads the entire review... read this... If you want "QUALITY OF WORK" hire Ted Wyler and his crew.  For those of you who want the details...
We were wanting to expand our driveway to put up a basketball goal with an in-ground anchoring system for my son (who was quite anxious to get it in).  We also wanted to add a border for cosmetic reasons... and to expand another portion of the drive.
Ted was the first to respond from the inquiries I made on Angie's List, however, I had called 3 other professionals for bids that were not on the list (prior to becoming a member).  This job is the reason I joined Angie's List, as I was not comfortable with the other professionals that bid the job... and I wanted to hire someone with referrals.  Of the other three... One was so incredibly high, I could tell he didn't want to do the job... the others were so un-professional, that I did not want to use them.  Then I joined the list and Ted came the next day to bid.
Ted Wyler was so professional, knowledgeable, and courteous... that I knew he would be the one to do the work if his bid wasn't outrageous.  His bid was actually under two of the three others (off list) that I had called.  But, he proposed doing much more than they would have done... for less money.  I tend to judge a concrete professional by their "forms"... and Ted's were very nice and tight.  The didn't look like "scrap wood" that a previous company had used on my partial driveway.  Ted and his crew showed up on time... and used more steel than any of the others had proposed, thus making the concrete much more sturdy.
The basketball goal had an anchor system that I was going to put in while Ted poured the concrete... but I had something come up at work and couldn't make it home while they were there.  When I got home... the anchor was installed... correctly.  That was not something I expected them to do.  I know from the amount of steel they used in my extension, as well as the extra strength of concrete they used.... I would not have a problem with the concrete cracking.
Long story short... I had a crooked contractor that did sloppy work on my existing driveway. He was supposed to come pour the rest of the driveway, but to date had not done the work.
I was so impressed with Ted and his crew... that I decided to hire them to do the rest of the driveway (even though it might cost me a bit more to get them to take over the job).  The QUALITY of work was way worth it.
If you want "Quality"... Hire Ted Wyler and his crew.  You will not be disappointed.
I will tell you about the other work they performed in another posting.

    AAA Concrete
Tom was very professional and  helpful when he came out to give a bid.   He helped me with  choosing the color  and the design for the sidewalk ( which connected to the driveway). The price was very fair to me.  He and his crew showed up on time set up job up. The next day when he poured the sidewalk and driveway,I was overjoyed with the way it all turned out.  I loved the colors Tom used and the layout.  I would highly recommend AAA Concrete to any one thinking of getting a new sidewalk or
    driveway.  Very pleased!!!
