  • Everything across the board was horrible...from hard sell and inaccurate sales people to no show technitions to faulty equipment that made horrendous noises at random to being double billed, this is the worst experience I have ever had with a company. They were significantly more expensive than other companies I spoke to but I was OK with that because they are supposed to install for you so it should have been easier. Nothing could have been more difficult...just awful. have cancelled service now...hopefully I get a full refund without too much hastle but I am expecting a nightmare since everything else has been. I can't say strongly enough...STAY AWAY from this business.

  • Early in 2014 we discovered that our system was not being monitored due to a change in phone systems. I made several phone calls asking for service but received no response. Finally, I requested a refund prorated to the last date that we could prove monitoring ws offered but received no response. After I changed to ADT I received an invoice for another year's monitoring even though they had been notified that I had changed services. I again asked for a refund and received no response.

    From a hardware service standpoint they were equally unresponsive. Over the course of three years we found that it would take several calls to get a serviceman to the house to fix a problem. Most of all they  just don't seem to be concerned when a customer is paying them for a service that they can't or won't provide.

  • No service was performed. I did not want to submit this review but it was presented to me every time I came onto the site. There needs to be a check box on the form to allow a user to opt out of any given service review. The service was not for my home but for a home that I have sold. I needed a home security system for a house that I was renovating and have sold. I ended up just buying a wireless central alarm system from Amazon and installing it myself.

  • We are big fans of Frase and feel good supporting a local business vs. a national chain.  We bought a house that had an ADT system but wanted to switch it to Frase, who we used at our old home.  When you get up and running first they will send a person out to look over your home and give you some options on what system best will suit your house.  Our guy called me and was very nice and gave me the options of a wired vs. wireless system.  He said the wireless was a little more per month but would be less install, whereas the wired would save me $6 monthly but be more expensive to install as we could not re-use some of the existing wiring in the house.  He didn't put a hard sell on me for additional items or anything like that, which goes a long way with me.  I can't think of the last time I dealt with a large national chain that they didn't try and upsell me on something.  That is why I like dealing with local businesses like Frase.
    Anyway, after he leaves you set up an appointment to have the system actually installed and set up.  The tech arrived on time, was very nice to my wife and went through everything with her on how to work the system and access the online features.  We had an issue after he left with a motion detector where it was being triggered and setting the siren off even when the system was not armed, and they were able to fix it over the phone.
    They are always very nice and professional when they call after an alarm.  Every now and then we forget it is armed and open a back door to let our dogs out, etc. and set it off by accident.  They call immediately, ask for the information, and are very professional.

  • This is my second Frontpoint system that I have installed



    (the first is in a holiday home). 







    Installation is simple and usually completed in less than 30



    minutes, after calling the helpline to get the system activated everything was



    up and running, had one issue with one sensor which was corrected during the



    call. 







    What sets this company apart is the level of customer service,



    noting is too much trouble. They have helped me customize my system with door



    locks, light switches and thermostats ? none of which were purchased directly



    from Frontpoint.







    The system is robust, like I say this is my second system,



    the first was installed over a year ago and we have had no issues.







    Absolutely first rate!

  • The rep came to my home to give an estimate for security for our home. We have a 3 story townhome with an elevator. We have 5 balconies and one side porch. I explained that we have never had a security system before and she needed to explain everything to me from the beginning to the end. She proceeded to talk about her company and what they do. But when it got to the technical aspects of the service such as how many motion detectors we needed, where to place a motion detector, how many door alarms we should get, how the equipment is installed...she could not answer questions. Our neighbors had ADT come out and they were given an estimate that was really quite good. They said their rep went and looked all over their home including checking out the "smart box" and the electrical system in the garage. She never left our living room!  Our neighbor's rep was named  Bruce. Every time we asked a question she said..."Let me call Bruce". This occurred 3-4 times. I finally said "maybe we should just get Bruce over here". She left a written estimate but it was in their business "shorthand". I didn't understand any of it. So I had to call her. There were a couple of important issues she forgot to even mention such as how many people had to be on our contact list and what to do in the event of a power failure. 

    I decided that her lack of knowledge and professionalism needed to be reported to her supervisor. We were not discounting ADT as yet. We still had interviews with 2 more companies. The only number she left was the "800" number so I called it and explained to the rep was happened and that if I was still to consider ADT I needed to speak to the manager. The rep said the manager's name was Elizabeth and he would email her right now and have her call me. I gave my home and cell number as well as my email address. I never heard from her. Two days went by so I called the "800" number again. I got a different rep and explained the situation again and they transferred me to Elizabeth's desk. I got her voice mail and left a message leaving both numbers again and NEVER heard from her. I called the "800" number again and said I was choosing another security company and would NOT recommend ADT here in the Charleston area to anyone.

  • Pyramid Alarm Systems cleaned up after themselves. Two men completed the job within a few hours. They arrived as scheduled for installation. I like that I can have my bill deducted from my credit card as a customer service option. If I choose to pay an entire year, I would receive a one month discount. They provide window stickers and a sign for the front yard as added security deterrents. One drawback is the monitoring headquarters is located in Mississippi. I am very pleased with the quick response time for monitoring. If the alarm is set off, I receive a telephone call within 30 seconds. I paid five hundred forty five dollars to have the system installed.
