Matt was great to work with and did a great job. I especially like the fact that Matt self performs all of the work with the assistance of a helper - he did not subcontract any work to others or work with a large crew. His pricing was fair and he finished the project in the time frame that he gave at the beginning. I recommend him highly.

Matt was precise and so reliable. The job entailed much more than he originally quoted but he stayed with his original quote. We were so pleased with the job we knew we needed to do more for he and his coworker!

    Accurate Decks & Fences
Chris is a good salesman and worked with us on redesigning our deck, designing a screened enclosure off the deck and redoing two sections of fence. Chris is also an excellent carpenter and does very good work (when you can get him to do it). His scheduling and follow up, however, are very poor. Chris started the job at the end of January and did not finish until mid-April. While there was a good bit of rain/weather that slowed things down, this project should not have taken three months to complete. I've been trying to get him to come back to finish a few items that he said he would do, and he keeps telling me he's going to come by but never shows up.

    Clay's Decks & Fence

Mr. Clay was one of 3 quotes that we received.  He was not the cheapest quote, but we were most comfortable with his answers concerning materials, drainage, clean-up, and time-line.

He arrived two weeks after we agreed a price, as promised. His team removed brush and small trees that had grown up in the fence line, and they set all of the posts for the new fence on the first day.  The next day Mr. Clay and his team constructed the gate and the fence.

Please note, that I mentioned that Mr. Clay was present both days.  He was present for 90% of the job.  I was impressed with his personal involvement in our project, and I believe that there is a direct correlation between owner involvement and customer satisfaction.

Mr. Clay brought a team of 4-5 individuals both days.  They were very respectful and kept the work area (my yard) super clean.

My neighbor was impressed with our fence and hired Mr. Clay two weeks later.  He has now done 4 fences in our neighborhood in the past 6 months.

I am planning on using Clay's Deck and Fence to build a deck for me this spring.

    Lucius Complete Home
Frank Bailey is the gentleman who visited us and provided a quote.  Frank is very personable and knows his business.  We were impressed with the customer references, the product selection, and all things legal and contractual he was able to share with us on the day we reviewed the quote.  Perhaps other roofers are also now doing this, but, the fact that Lucius does not use nail guns but traditional hammers to lay down the roof impressed us also.  In reviewing the decking of our home, due to the age, I don't see how anyone could have used nail guns and done a good job since the decking is 10" x 6"s laid next to each other....not something I'd seen in previous homes I've owned.  The work was done as scheduled.  There were some delays in beginning due to rain but that's not Lucius' fault.  We would not hesitate to use this outfit again and could not recommend them more highly.  Everything was cleaned up to our satisfaction.  Frank conferred with the crew foreman before coming out to our home to receive the balance due and ensure we were satisfied.  The only thing I can remember as being a negative was after a very significant rain with a lot of drainage in the front lot, several dozen roofing nails with the plastic keepers on them gathered at a low point of the yard.  We were assured that they go over the yard with a magnet and pick up all the discarded/spilled nails but they missed these.  A very minor detail and hardly worth mentioning....but I remembered so I mentioned it! :-)

    Aaron Painting & Construction
The work went well and on time. His crew worked hard and were clean - did not leave a mess for me to clean up. They used brushes and rollers on the exterior cedar instead of spraying with spray going everywhere.

    DRI Contractors
Tom designed and built the deck.  Job took weeks longer than anticipated due to the weather.  They worked every opportunity that  was available.  If they didn't like the way something came out they did it over again without so much as a conversation.  Truly takes pride in their work.
We have recommended them to everyone that asks (or doesn't ask)!

We had a laid back conversation. The salesman was friendly and very knowledgeable. He asked us lots of questions to get a better understanding of what we looking to build. He showed us numerous examples of his past projects and what he could provide to us and the price he would charge us. It was a great initial meeting and he gave us lots to think about for our new porch and screened in covered area of the porch. He is a nice man and good products he could build or provide to us, but it wasn't quite what we were looking for and how if would blend in with the rest of the house.

    Nu-Prime Of Memphis
Measurements taken. We had several meetings as my wife with school and teaching done, could finally begin to get an idea of what she/we wanted. Besides us surfing the Net, we needed companies to show us pictures of their past projects and finished results. Someone to discuss construction materials options for redoing the back deck including ideas as how to construct the screened in covered portion of the deck. We got that partially done, but it was never complete. One answer one part generated questions to two other parts and that still does not get us done to the final cost to build it. In the end the assembly of a complete project plan was never presented.
