I've seen several different providers, from nurse practitioners to M.D's with this practice and I've been happy with them all. I highly recommend all of their nurse practitioners and I find them to be very knowledgeable and up-to-date on the latest research and treatments as any of the M.D.'s, so I prefer seeing the nurse practitioners here for my annual exams. However, when I had a problem that I needed to have surgery for, I was very pleased with the doctors I was referred to in this practice, both with their expertise and bedside manner. I've been going to Vanderbilt's Center for Women's Health for the last 7 years and I highly recommend them!

Very well. the necessary adjustment were made to my medication and other options were discussed. I felt comfortable with the decision we made to change medication and had not experienced any problemsince.

I thought Dr. Piper was a very decent doctor until I received a FORM letter telling me that when I reached 65, I would no longer be a patient. Apparently the Hippocratic Oath means little to the physicians at Women. As their patients, we are told again and again by this practice that they have our very best interest at heart, but it appears this practice cares only about the bottom line~~the dollar sign. They may blame it on Medicare regulations and blah, blah, blah, but in the end, I didn't stop having a need to have a gynecologist because I am approaching 65. Despite claims to the contrary, culling us "old folks" is not necessary according to my spouse who has been in the healthcare industry in numerous positions over a 40 year career (much longer than most of these physicians have been in practice!). I was 63 when I received the letter stating that I would no longer be a patient (apparently, they can't count either). The letter went on to explain that it was out of their hands (seriously???) and that they regretted it, but I would no longer be seen by Dr. Piper unless I wanted to pay for my visit out of pocket (the old adage "pay the piper" comes to mind) or if I had insurance. If they regretted it that much, why was it a FORM LETTER????
I am certain all manner of reasons, can be given by this practice for their policy, but the bottom line to it all involves the profit margin.
March 2013 addendum: After a refreshingly constructive appointment with another provider who welcomed me with open arms for my GYN needs, I have no regrets in leaving Women's for a more caring and better environment.

As a follow up to my last exam they took blood for testing. I was told I'd receive a call with results within one week. When I did not receive a call within two weeks I called them. I was told I'd receive a call back. When I didn't I called them second time. And, once again did not receive a call back. I still do not know the results of that test. Dr. Rupe was very friendly and patient so initially I didn't want to change providers. This year I thought I'd try their office again (thinking it was just a fluke). I had a schedule conflict and needed to reschedule my annual appointment. They were not going to be able to reschedule my appointment for 4 months. Every time I call their office the staff is curt and disengaged, as though it was a bother I called their office at all. I liked Dr. Rupe very much but unfortunately the disfunction of the office outweighs the benefits of continuing to see her as one of my health care providers.

I am new to town, and the staff made it very easy for me. The waiting room was comfortable. People were very nice. The Dr. was very gentle and conversational. The temperature of the room was warm enough. I was even able to set up my mammogram apt. there.

He was great. I changed doctors at 30 weeks along and he was overall really awesome. I was kind of needy during my pregnancy because my husband was deployed at the time. He calmed me down and addressed any questions or concerns, he never seemed annoyed with all the questions I asked. I felt very comfortable with him. During delivery, I had a rough time and he stayed there with me the whole time. He was calm and collected, I worried but he made me feel better. Overall, I was pleased with the service he provided me with. It went very well. I recommended him to all my friends and family.

    Sheib, Dr. Stacy
I saw her in the ER and she was probably the only one who was trying to take a proactive stand in trying to get things figured out for me. She got other departments to work with her to get me out of the ER and back home and somehow comfortable. She also made sure that everything that was going on was being taken care of. She ran all the necessary tests outside the ER when she had me come see her. She has been extremely supportive, very thorough, upfront and honest. I am very grateful to have her in the ER and as my OBGYN. I had some bleeding issues and I was assigned to her.
